Horrible customer service. Long time customer (incl. riding mower purchase in excess of 3k). Top five greatest customer service fails over the years for this family run:1. Stops selling 15 minutes before close (bag of charcoal).2. Will tell you you are "lucky" they are selling to you between 20/30 minutes before close (parts for the aforementioned riding mower).3. Brought turf wheel in for service. 2 guys sitting around in parts/service. Tire was in stock. "We can get that changed for you in 4 days".4. Brought previous mower in for service (in February). Checked in in March ("We have the parts, but its a long list"). Check back again...still not done. Pick up mower, ask "can I get the parts so I can do the work myself?" Response -- " Oh we never actually ordered those". (parts were idler wheel, blades, and air filter for a Byers - a make they didnt carry but said they could get)5. Wanted to rent the subcompact tractor they have. Called to ask the model of the Massey Furg it was so I could check to see if the specs were appropriate for the job. Ace - "It just says 'compact tractor'" Me - "Can you go look at it, the model is probably right on it?" Ace - "No thats outside".Sometimes job security isn't a good thing. So glad I'm getting a Kubota and don't have to darken this door again. Like others said, their prices are always ~$5 higher than HD or Lowe's.

The price you pay for items will be more then what the price tag says, take the extra time and run to Home Depot or Lowe’s.

Finally a hardware store that will make you feel like you went back in time. When I entered Kevin greeted me but not in that how fast can I get you out of here tone, he genuinely was nice and knowledgeable of the store and its products. We need more of that genuine small town store mentality that we all love. If you need a hardware store go out of your way for this one. Thanks again for making me feel like I was back in that corner hardwares store, the only thing missing was the free coffee.

Stopped in here just outta curiosity. Every employee we came into contact with was very friendly and offered to help us find something. We expected to be in & out within 10 minutes, but spent over one hour and $400 here. This Ace Hardware carries lots of stuff you just can't find in the big box stores. It was definitely worth the drive from our home south of York up here to this store.

After going there for years today was the last time. Stood between the registers waiting for one of them to acknowledge my presence and one of the ladies said "she can help you" and nodded in the direction the other lady (looking at her phone) who immediately rolled her eyes. Every single time I say "Thank you" at the end of the transaction and they never, ever, ever reply.I will find whatever it is that I need somewhere else.

Typically we have nothing but a great experience at our local Ace, however today is not one of those days. We experienced a rude employee. She could have kept her opinion to herself but she chose not to. Blonde hair, always some funky contacts in. I don't appreciate her being rude to my husband. Makes us consider going elsewhere for our needs.

I've visited this store probably 20 or 30 times over the last 3 years. I've never experienced such a terrible customer experience from their staff. Unfriendly, don't want to be bothered. To be fair there have a been maybe 1 or 2 employees who have been pleasant inside the store but never at check out. It's all about their lives there chit chatting with other cashiers. Based on the reviews about the owner this attitude permeates from him. Maybe there should be a write in campaign to Ace Hardware corporate to revoke their franchise because it does not portray the Ace Hardware brand in a good light. Hopefully this review enacts change but I don't believe it will since this is not something new based on the reviews.

Good place to stop by for hardware items that you need but don't feel like traveling all the way to the big box hardware superstores. You are very likely to find someone to help you if you need it. Sales staff is friendly and goes out of their way to help. Aisles are a bit crowded for handicap accessibility, but staff will gladly get you what you need! The only downside may be the fact that they can't offer the same quantity and variety that the big box locations can, only because of space limitations. Nice to know that these friendly, customer oriented stores still exist! Sales are frequent! You won't regret stopping here!2/17/23: Still use this location frequently and have same good experiences with helpful, friendly staff! I'll be a long time customer!

Is there an option for negative stars? Worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. Owner is not friendly and could care less about patrons. Service is typically slow but today took the cake. Empty store, 8 employees inside and had to wait a half hour for propane fill. Contacted front desk 3 times. There was even another customer out there waiting in the cold.Apparently wasn't their concern until I went in the back employee only entrance. Owner came out, no smile, apology, not a word. I've overlooked their price gouging for years out of convenience but I refuse to waste my time and money on these negligent people again.

The most friendly, helpful hardware store in this area. They have the unusual things you may not find anywhere else, and the everyday things you need.The store is well stocked. I now you can always find something you weren't expecting to find. Again the staff is friendly and more than eager to assist you in every way.Thank you Manchester Ace Hardware!

The nicest people work here. Every time I’ve come here (3x- because I never knew they were located so close to us) everyone has been super friendly. Today I called in and the two associates were beyond helpful. Will be coming here for my home needs. I didn’t know they had outdoor equipment like weedwhackers! Thank you again

I went to buy a box for a gift delivery to my son in the USAF. The boxes that were for sale were either too small or too large. The store attendant heard my mission and went to get me a box from the back of the store, turned it inside out, retaped it then gave it to me for free. I did buy another product but I didn't have too. He then proceeded to the register to notify the cashier that he gave me a box so that there was no confusion on the mystery box I was holding. This is customer service! The staff is always helpful no matter the situation. Ace Hardware Mount Wolf Pa is the place.Forever customer

Have been in the store multiple times for various things. They do have a nice variety of products including some really cute bird feeders which were quite a bit more expensive than multiple other places. However, it is a nice option other than the big box stores that are everywhere. Most recently in for a fan and there prices were very competitive considering the size of the store. It's definitely worth stopping in.

Prices are very high. Customer service is okay, but no one approaches you in a welcoming way to ask for help. Do have some cute decorative items for holidays and such, but again it seems like prices are too high for the area and you can get comparable items elsewhere for much less expensive.

This is a mom-and-pop establishment and thus the prices are a little higher than your typical Lowe's and Home Depot. However for a small shop they have a great staff that is always eager and willing to help out. They do have a pretty good establishment with a lot of choices of tools for a small shop. I wish that they were open on Sundays because that is when a lot of people are off of work and able to do work around the house, however, they are closed on Sundays which makes it difficult.

Their staff is very attentive and helpful. Most supplies are available but it is a smaller store so selection has its limits and price is marginally higher than other places but the staff's attitude and knowledge easily makes up the difference.

If you want to feel like you’re a nuisance then come to this store. They have a sign out front about “Supporting Local Business’,“ but they aren’t welcoming at all. A bunch of class acts there.

Stopped in to get propane filled spent 45 mins never did get propane . The store was empty except for 3 employees.We got a refund but noone seemed concerned that the customer service was horrible. Very disappointed, this is our to go place for propane.

Got my fishing license there. The man at the desk said he was too busy to help me. The lady that did take care of me put a trout stamp on and printed the license for one year. What good is a trout stamp in late August? Then she told me there was nothing she could do to fix it. To top it off there was no "Thanks for your business." or have a nice day. Go elsewhere if you want help or good service.

They always have what you need plumbing to electrical work. Batteries and light bulbs for flashlights and radio. Also have rechargable batteries including automotive supplies. Painting supplies for the home. Love this place. People who work here are very friendly and love to help.

This Ace is pretty small, don't expect much. There are s few people that are friendly here. The older man is not. Columbia Ace is like heaven compared to this one. The prices are always high like most Ace stores. Try to get to Lowes or Home Depot if you can.

I went to shop there with my nine-year-old son who is medically fragile. My son was born at 25 weeks and one day. I asked employees if they could please wear a mask while we were in the store and they became belligerent and refused to wear a mask. They told me that the emergency order and mandate by the governor was just his opinion and they had no reason to follow it. The staff had a complete disregard to my son and his situation and refuse to wear a mask. So we left the owner of this company also buses our children in our school district and owns a busing company I have no faith that he has the public interest in mind in anyway.

Bought a hammer drill there and it was twice as much as Lowes. Also rented a skid loader and was about 200 more than other places I've rented. They do have some nice seasonal items and it's a well kept store. Just expensive, but that's the majority of Ace Hardware's I've been to.

Helpful, friendly, KNOWLEDGEABLE staff who always greet you and ask if there is anything they can help you with. Best deal on snow blowers in town right before winter and lots of specialty items that some of the "big box" stores don't have.
