The food here is incredible and the choices are unique and well presented. The staff is very courteous and friendly but they did forget a couple of items we ordered. I have to reserve a star for that and the fact that my stomach never reacts poorly with foods but their pear and cinnamon french toast destroyed me and the orange brandy sauce was terrible. Just avoid that is my advice. I will go back but be a bit more careful choosing their more exotic plates

Very solid diner with great portion sizes, awesome friendly and quick staff, lots of seating and parking.I took a star away because they definitely have many add-ons that you might not even suspect are add-ons and they really add up quickly. I have been twice now and the servers never mention there will be an up-charge. Some things are clearly laid out for instance adding cheese to your omelette, others like getting cream cheese for a bagel is $2.00 we wouldnt have expected. See bill for breakdown.Aside from that though the food is good, fresh and portion sizes are nice. Will definitely return.

*Indoor dining review*I've heard about "The Classic Diner" for quite awhile now, finally got a chance to try it. For the most part, everything's really good apart from couple minor issues.Restaurant: 4/5Service: 3/5Food: 4/5Parking: Free parking lot (Limited Parking)~Restaurant~Restaurant itself looked small from the outside, but they have good seating arrangement, you don't feel cramped once you're sitting down inside. Alternatively they have couple tables outdoor (covered) for anyone that wants to nice weather outside. I would also suggest going early, so the wait isn't too long. We went around 9:30AM and were seated right away.~Service~Staff are friendly and somewhat attentive.~Food~All the food we ordered are pretty good. What we ordered:-Omelette with avocado, salsa, sun dried tomatoes and pepper jack cheese. (Eggs and most of the fillings are cooked nicely and very flavorful, bread is nicely toasted and buttered. But the cheese was not melted properly, so it turns into just a glob of cheese, I would most likely skip on the cheese next time. The potatoes are slightly overcooked, a bit tough.-Bacon (Can't go wrong with bacon, cooked nicely)-Belgian waffle with Berries. (It is good, apart from Waffle is a little dense)-Belgian waffle with Banana and Walnut. (Same story. After having some delicious light and fluffy Belgian waffles from another breakfast/brunch restaurant, I think we were expecting the same)In conclusion, I would go again, since the food is pretty good for the most part, service is good. Although I might modify my order a bit next time around.

Found this place on google. I was in town for a work meeting. Thought we give the place a try before heading back home. I was impressed with the breakfast menu. They have everything! I love a customized omelette! It was delicious. The French toast was amazing!! We received quick service. The only thing I need didn’t like were the flies. Other than that the restaurant has an “at home” feel. And the food is good! I would highly recommend. We’re definitely putting this place on our list for breakfast and brunch for future work trips.Dietary restrictions: You can customize your meals for example, you create your own omelette. There’s an egg white option. You can customize you pancakes and French toast for example, single or double stack. You can add toppings to pancakes and substitute home fries. The menu is diet friendly.

Food is absolutely amazing. Love the scrambled eggs with provolone on sourdough with pesto sauce on top. If you're a cheese lover you'll love this. Service is good too!

It was a busy, late Saturday morning when we visited the diner. We waited about 5 minutes for a table, which wasn't bad at all. We had a delicious meal. I had an egg sandwich and my husband had a turkey sandwich that came with homemade chips. Everything was yummy! The diner is nicely decorated. Our waitress was excellent. She was friendly and attentive. The only concern I had was that there's a set of doors they don't want you to use. That's fine, but they have it tied shut with a bungee chord. There's an exit sign above it. I can't believe that is okay with the fire code. Maybe it's okay in Pa, but it wouldn't pass inspection in NY. Other than that, it was a great experience.

WOW! Came out to malvern for a haircut and wanted a bite to eat and came across maybe the best and biggest breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. It was huge but delicious!First the location is right off the side on Lancaster ave. The parking is small though. I’m not sure if there is additional parking elsewhere. I only got takeout but the diner looks small but cozy and welcoming. I did see some outside seating as well.Second-the sandwich was incredible. Slab bacon and perfectly cooked eggs. Seriously you’re getting your moneys worth here with this sandwich and I’m sure everything else looks amazing. Can’t wait to come back and try it

We work night shift what else do I need to say about our food selection at 8:30AM...My husband always tells me to try Classic Diner, we went after work it had rained but at that point just misty and we had been cooped up at work so we ask to set outside, they hesitantly (Thank You to the Waiting staff for entertaining our strange request). We ordered Egg's Benedict with avocado. Which was delicious, egg poached perfectly nice size portions as you can see., but the Hollandaise was a little thin. We also ordered Onion Rings and Chip and House made Salsa which was both amazing.

Food - 4, Service - 4, Decor - 2TLDR - Friendly attentive staff, decent but overpriced food, interior needs heavy renovation. Can recommend (if you don't mind the high prices) but won't be back.Went here for lunch with my daughter while waiting for our dog to be discharged from VRC next door. I ordered coffee, tuna BLT and onion rings, she ordered BLT with no T (go figure). Our order was taken quickly and the food came in a reasonable amount of time. They forgot my onion rings but delivered it soon after I asked about it. The staff was attentive, friendly and frequently checked in.The only have skim milk - I like my coffee with whole milk. Kind of odd for a diner, but whatever, not a huge deal. My daughter's BLT was unremarkable - what you would expect from a diner BLT. The bacon is thick and has the right amount of sweet/salt/smoke flavor profile. My tuna BLT was a bit of a mess. The piece of salmon is quite large and does not in any way fit on the bun. They should have cut it in half at least. The bacon was all piled to one side and the avocado was 90% hanging out of the other side and some spilled onto the plate. I basically had to re-assemble the entire thing to make it possible to eat it. The picture below is after I took it apart and rebuilt it, then cut it in half - which is how it should have been served in the first place. The side salad was fresh and the balsamic dressing is tasty. The sandwich was decent but for $20 I would expect something a little more. Onion rings were good. The house made chips were a little too cooked for my taste and kind of greasy but otherwise ok. The issue here is more the value - the above meal was $36 - two sandwiches, coffee and a side of onion rings. Even in these inflationary times I would expect something a little more. The interior of this place is rough. It's badly in need of lots of renovation. Paint is heavily scuffed and peeling everywhere. The chairs and tables are really worn. Not the kind of cute rustic worn you get in a tavern, just the kind of old worn out worn you get from an owner too cheap to make the capital investment to bring it up to date. There are apparently leaks in the roof and literally water dripping onto the floor next to tables. Comes back to value - for the prices they are charging they really should update the interior.

Only experience so far was delivery so cannot speak to service or atmosphere. Ordered lunch for a coworker and I and we both quite enjoyed our meals. We both got different sandwiches and neither of us could finish them the serving size was so generous. The fries were on the thicker side, one of us enjoyed them the other did not care for them. Would try out The Classic Diner again!

My granddaughter and i stopped for a late breakfast after our doctor's appointments. We had never eaten there there and we both loved our meals. I had the eggs benedict and they were the best i have ever had. The taste and presentation were fabulous. I would love to know the secret in keeping the yolk a perfect round mound under all the delicious hollandaise sauce!

I generally enjoy this place. The portabella mushroom on bread with salad is my favorite. Their multigrain bread is wonderful toasted. I just had their turkey, slaw, Russian dressing and Swiss on multigrain and it was everything I'd hoped it would be.Yum!!! The seating is tight and their drinks are small given the waitstaff is kept hopping. I agree with Ross, the peach french toast with brandy sauce was awful, how did that make it to the menu...but it's off now. As a French fry fan I don't care for the unfried over bay seasoned ones they have. I left mine largely uneaten but paid for them anyway. Basics of omelets, pancakes and French toast, and off the menu Monte Cristo are good. My favorites there keep me coming back.

The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge but pricey. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The set-up is very tight but I guess its pretty common in the Philly area. Most of the good diners and restaurants in this area are very tight in space and loud. I’ve learnt it’s more of the area culture and when you live here it definitely grows on you. I will be going back here more often and I highly recommend this diner for anyone who wants to eat delicious food and have a great dining experience.

I love the classic diner @westchester and wish to be at each one of these around the city !Just like the other location, Malvern is a cozy and a homely feel being served by a family....loved the waffles and the juice, Benedict which is a standard brunch order for me and my boyfriend. Amongst all the places been, we love to go to diner back for the taste and the experience :)

Looks like a stylish take on a diner. But this is NOT a diner. It is fine dining quality food set in a diner setting. Staff @ breakfast is super friendly. The food quality is excellent and the portions are very generous. The prices are a bit high for where this is located. But it is certainly worth the visit.

According to locals the best breakfast in the area. Cute little cozy atmosphere, great customer service and the food is very tasty. I would only encourage flavor creamer, everyone can't have half and half.Features: No protocol measures in place outside of wait staff wearing mask. COVID measures in the state are relax.

Went with my new born and wife on New Years day for late brunch. I was worried about the parking, reservation in advance but did not had any problems with these. We were given a comfortable booth to keep the baby with car seat.We ordered fried eggs with roasted red peppers with brioche toast, strawberry and Nutella French toast and custom omelette. Loved everything as everything had great flavor and I believe will suit everyone’s palate. Also, loved the fresh coffee!! Naomi, the attendant was also very energetic and attended us with great enthusiasmIn all, great experience and would recommend to go if you are in the area ( I although drove 25 minutes to go there 😬)

Fantastic place.. We've been going here for years and food has never disappointed us.. They could use new items on the menu.. But then again why break it if it already works!Edit/Update: still with the same old menu.. Still good food.. But with new brunch places near by..I wonder if it's time for new creations

Loved the sticky buns, scrambled eggs and apple sausage. Great coffee. Great service. All at a price that's appropriate for the high quality of the food and service.

Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, good food and great coffee. Price is reasonable too. Portions are a little big for me, but that's why the to-go box exists :)
