Some of their groceries are very expensive. But they have a good selection of stuff and you're willing to pay for it if you need it. But where this place really shines is they're prepared food. They have really good lunches that you can get quickly and get back to work. Plus they have coolers full of drinks of any persuasion

Just bought a fish sandwich and it was sooo disgusting, sooo dried out n hard unchewable n charged $2.65...for a sandwich that got thrown in the garbage disposal...also just bought Mac n Cheese 🧀 absolutely awful, hf the macaroni was hard n no cheese to see Who ever is the Cook needs to go n rehire some one else n they don't season food n it All has no taste n its bland...so to spend money to throw food out is ridiculous 🙄, also crab cakes taste like potato n bread filled...threw at least 4 in the trash also...apparently people have no idea what good cooking n eating really is...

Mahanoy City Food Store is a family friendly place. The staff here is amazing!! They know almost every customers name that comes in amd actually call you by your name and not just say ma'am or sir. If they don't know a customers name they will go out of their way to ask what your name is and always ask how you are, how your day is going, how your family and kids are doing, and they have great attitudes and customer service. You can always depend on them to help you find something or explain things. They are super friendly, kind, caring, and hard working. I absolutely LOVE shopping here and will continue to do so.

Got trays to go for the baby shower. Everyone loves the stuffing mixed with chicken. Friendly service and prices were cheap!! For chicken/stuffing,sausage with peppers and onions,chicken mixed- breast, thighs, and legs $83
