Just rescued my dog and he was shaggy looking. Made an appointment at planet doggywood with Theresa. For never knowing how he would do she worked amazing with him. She took him from being gross dirty and shaggy to being cleaned up and looked amazing. I can’t be more thankful for it. Definitely will be going back to her again. Thank you so much.

So, Lola had her first grooming today at Planet Doggywood and I couldn't be happier with how she looks. Val was AMAZING in regard to her patience, humor and delight in making Lola's first experience an awesome one. Her ability to have an artist's eye for doing the right thing makes her someone I'd recommend without reservation. More pix to come, but this was on our walk back to work. She looks fantastic. Anyone seeking an experienced, gentle and skilled groomer, look no further. Right here in Macungie, Val and her team (another Val, Theresa and I believe another person) are definitely worth meeting. I had a very bad experience with this groomer earlier this month. The groomer I had was a very young girl. She was too young to have any real grooming experience. She got my dog bathed and dried but then she called me to tell me she couldn't finish him and I had to go pick him up. When I got there he was sitting in a crate with an improperly fitted collar around his neck. You are supposed to be able to get two fingers under a dog collar. I couldn't get any finger under the collar it was way too tight. He was terrified of the groomer. He would not come out of the crate until he had a straight path to me. I was able to find a truly experienced groomer elsewhere and my dog had a successful grooming experience yesterday. Based on my recent experience with Planet Doggywood think twice before you leave your dog with them.

I loved planet doggywood is a highly recommended dog groomer! I own a golden retriever who is 16 months old. Little over a year. I love his cut, I wish i could upload a picture. The woman I spoke to was very professional, had my best interest at heart & it was our Goldens first time and what we heard from her was that he was great. Pricing was very reasonable! Highly recommend!!

Val and her crew are the BEST! helped my German Shepard when she needed it the most. Older dog and needed a hair cut - Val was so nice to get her in before normal work hours to allow special care for my dog. Chance (my Shepard) is so happy with her cut and loved Val and her team. Thank you Val!

Brought my dog here twice. The first time eh, they did not want to cut his tail, looked weird. Went back the second time, cut is much better. But both times they did a lousy job on his nails. His nails are sharper now than they were before he went there. I’ll be taking my dog to another place that’s way cheaper as well.

I took my Norwegian Elkhound there today and I couldn't have been happier!! I had a terrible experience with another groomer in town and was leary to go somewhere else with him. I called planet doggywood last week and told them what had happened with the previous groomer and they couldn't have been more understanding. They told me I could bring him in and he could meet them and be comfortable prior to his grooming. They were so welcoming and friendly it was awesome!! When I picked him up he looked AMAZING!! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!!

I LOVE Planet Doggywood! The staff, Val, Theresa, & Becky, are so loving towards animals and care about their safety. They also care about himans & their wishes, too! If you are a client, they will trim your pet's nails at no charge in between grooming appointments!

If I could give them 10 stars I would. We have been to 3 different groomers in the valley and they dont even compare to planet doggywood. The staff are friendly, kind, and extremely accomodating. We have a golden doodle with a very difficult coat. Val has been amazing working with us and our pup to find what works best. Also, our pup had a horrible forst grooming experience that resulted in her being terrified of the dryer. They have worked with her and now can use the dryer freely. Thank you thank you thank you.

Took my rescues to get their nails trimmed and they were fantastic. Now I'm sending them back to get trimmed again and get a bath. Wonderful place with great care and great prices. definitely recommend.
