I was disappointed to see the same produce over ripening and no sales. Their milk prices are sky high at 4$ a gallon. Some of their sale prices don't match the receipts you bring home. That's an extra trip to fix. Poorly run store.

Local store that has been a staple for many years. After Super Thrift left this grocery took over and has improved over the years. Prices are a little higher than the larger stores but you are paying for convenience. Employees many local teens and senior citizens which is good for the community. Bakery is pretty good and the deli counter has a great selection of homemade salads. Update 1/4/2023 No change except prices have gone up like everywhere else. Update May 16 2023. Shut down because of unclean conditions including insects rats mice and filthy droppings. Avoid this store. Changed star from 3 to 1. Update 9/9/23 Store is cleaner and shelves are stocked. Visited this morning and customer service was the worst. No registers open except self checkout that took no cash, attendant there for help so that was good. Went to customer service desk to check out and the employee never said a word to me. I opened with good morning and no eye contact, never said my total, held her hand out waiting for me to hand her the money, no thank you or you're welcome after I said thank you and still no contact. She was too busy talking on her in store walkie talkie to someone. Do better. I will be contacting the store later today about this. I sure hope the manager is there.

Due to health reasons, I've become disabled, and I think it's absurd that this store only has 1 handicap scooter for those who are disabled. On 11/20 there was a scooter in front of the customer service counter. I asked "Donald" if anyone was using it and his response was it's in use. They need more scooters for disabled people!!

I work 3 years ago and I get that having enough cashiers is an issue everywhere Staffing seems to be an issue everywhere but Kenny's is not cheap to shop at and I am not going to bring my own groceries up it's not going to happen especially the prices that they charge yes they have deals sometimes you can get sodas cheaper there sometimes you can get certain things cheaper there but if you're doing all of your groceries shopping there it's going to be expensive and I do not see the need for them to have a self-checkout I was in there the other day they had one girl customer service one guy itself check out and another guy running a regular register and the only one consistently working doing anything was the one running the regular checkout while I was there he had at least five people in his line and I was there with just two items but there's no longer a speedy check out which okay I am not going to bring it out myself and the person that customer service decided to take someone that hadn't even gotten in line yet instead of taking someone with smaller number of items it's been standing in line waiting I understand she was helping another customer with something before that but if you aren't going to have customer service then you need to be cheaper because if I'm going to be bagging my own groceries and ring myself up and everything else I used to do that when I worked there I was paid $9 an hour at the time oh no it won't take me an hour to bring my stuff up but if you're going to have me doing someone's job I shouldn't be spending as much

My wife and I visited the Spring Grove location this morning in search of several meat sale items. We were very early so there wasn't any steaks cut/packaged at the time. Upon greeting us Jeremy and Nathaniel jumped into action and personally cut the steaks we were looking for. Top notch SERVICE!!!! As a long time retired grocery supervisor I can honestly say these two guys are top notch! The big box stores can certainly take a lesson from these two. Way to go!! Shop local is always a good idea. We will without a doubt continue to patronize the Spring Grove store.

Store charges my bank twice and because charges are pending they refuse to fix the problem and wouldn't let me have my groceries. Here's what I don't understand if they hadn't charged my acct twice. I would have left the store with my groceries and a pending charge.

Clean store, friendly staff and fresh produce. Have limited allergy-free and specialty items but that is expected with a small grocery store. I like to do all of my shopping in one stop so I go to a bigger chain but this is perfect for a quick stop if I need a few things. Beats having to drive 20 minutes to a bigger store. They also have a beer mart that carries Allagash White which is super hard to find. LOVE!

Since opening its doors, every location of this family-owned market has gone above and beyond to make its customers their main priority. Despite being a small corporation about the larger franchise department and grocery stores, Kennie’s Market has been faithfully operated by dependable and caring employees. The stores always maintain a clean and organized appearance, with well-stocked shelves, and a wide variety of quality items to choose from. If you ever need assistance, the staff is more than willing to lend a hand, and do their very best to make your shopping trip easy-going and enjoyable.

Extremely busy. But excellent customer service. And shelves were surprisingly stocked well. Not as crowded as it is during the holiday season but the staff are always polite and helpful as usual. A little on the expensive side but worth the trip if you don't want to run out to Hanover or Gettysburg.

As always the store looks clean and smells nice. The selection of fruit I was shopping for had a few choices to pick from . The QUALITY and TASTE were indescribably fresh and delicious. The berries were so big and juicy sweet. They made a perfect snack on a hot summer afternoon. Thank you Kennie's Market for making our fun plans for the day even better.

I bought the most incredible cookies. Store made soft pumpkin and molasses cookies. Each bag had six huge cookies, nearly an inch thick, and so delicious. I will go back.

It's a small town store. Everyone is friendly, they have a nice selection of different craft beer. The meats are very good. The bakery and homemade items are amazing. If you get the sale items and use coupons you're good, otherwise the prices are VERY high.

I've been hitting up the hot bar for lunch lately. Better prices than other places. Quick. Grab what you want and go. No lines or waiting for other orders to be filled. Get your food and get back to work.

Grocery store was stocked & I was quite happy until I saw several mice throughout the store. Mice were by bird seed towards back of store & a mouse escorted me out the front door. They didn’t stop me from purchasing my groceries but it will discourage me from purchasing anything fresh from their deli or bakery.

Sometimes like today, the deli case has pre cut meats and the cooked ham was pretty grey looking. I asked if the had any other cooked ham and they told me no. In general they always have an attitude if you ask for something that’s not already pre sliced, and god forbid you ask for what IS precut, but a freshly cut portion.I checked the little kiosk that has pre packed deli products and there were three packs of cooked ham…they looked nice and pink, but on the underside, I could see all grey-worse than what was in the case. I looked at all three packs. All packs were split, some good pink ham on top, and grey ham on the bottom. Maybe 50/50 split. So they packed up bad ham and put some fresh ham on top. No way this was not done on purpose, all three packs were the same, and the contrast between the top half and bottom half was striking. They really shouldn’t try and sell grey ham. Just throw it away, maybe don’t cut so much ahead of time. The appeal of a deli (to me) is that the meat is fresh, so I don’t like the precut stuff at all to be honest.Love kennies all in all. But I have had several instances where things were spoiled. Over the last few years: ribs, a pack of chicken drumsticks( pre bbq seasoned), a pack of imitation crab meat. Just pay attention to the packing date I’d say. I’m sure none of the things I mentioned were done on purpose except for the ham I talked about.

Absolutely USED to love this place. Small, fresh and friendly.... that is until they decided to no longer supply plastic grocery bags and began charging for paper bags. I own plenty of reusable bags, but don't always have them or enough of them with me for my shopping needs. That added inconvenience is enough for me to curtail my shopping at Kennie's, with the exception of using SOME of the magnetic mailer coupons. But those will be my only items purchased. Not my normal $150+ shopping list. Sorry Kennie's. You should have done your homework on 'reusable bags' and your consumer base.... besides "Reusable bags require more material and more energy input than disposable bags which gives them a bigger environmental footprint when comparing them 1 to 1".

Nice small chain/ local supermarket. Only issue I had was they don't carry pork cracklings. Can't blame them though since it has a narrow following. (Old school pork byproduct ((tasty snack- to me)) that is not widely produced at this day in age due to the required process to make them.)

I went in to buy a cake for my daughters birthday party. The lady working in the bakery not only did a beautiful job on our cakes, but also allowed my daughters to help write their names. They were so excited to show everyone what they did!!! Making my kids happy, always makes me happy. Will definitely shop there again.

They have a nice selection of things for it being a grocery store in a small town. The store seems well maintained, and workers are friendly. They are slightly pricey, and produce can be very hit or miss.

Nice store, not as big or comprehensive as Giant. Several locations but this review is for the store in Littlestown. It is very convenient for many. Typical super market, nothing really to write about. Clean to my eye and well-organized. Prices seem to be on a par with their competition. Nothing to make you love it or hate it.

Last time I was there, I had my two year old daughter with me and a FULL cart. I was stressed about having to bag everything and to put it all in the car, while trying to manage a grumpy child. But have no fear, amazing customer service is there! :) Someone bagged all my groceries in a new cart, walked me out, packed them all in the car and took the cart back. I literally just had to put my daughter in the car and my purse. It was absolutely amazing and caring.
