I would never trust any other facility with the health and safety of my babies! The girls at the front desk are always kind and absolutely ADORE my boys. They always make a big deal out of seeing them :) they always come home clean and happy! My smallest aussie is a puppy mill rescue and is VERY wary of people. Even with his quirks the staff is patient and caring. They were just there in the beginning of August while I was on vacation. They were informative and up front about the strain of kennel cough circulating nationally that isn't covered by the current vaccine and explained their sanitization process thoroughly. Very grateful for the staff and their love of all of our babies!

Trustworthy staff who are dedicated to the care of your pet. Kennels are clean. It may be a little pricier than other kennels but my confidence in them is worth it. I've been a customer here for over 30 years and have never had a bad experience.

This was our first time boarding Maddie at Gochenauer Kennels and I couldn’t have been more impressed. We were worried because Maddie is dog reactive but Gochenauer’s took every precaution to make sure Maddie was comfortable and safe. She had a great time playing with the friendly staff and making new human friends! Staff member, Sam C., is extremely knowledgeable and simply incredible with dogs. We wouldn’t want Maddie to stay anywhere else while we are away on vacation! We always know that she will be well taken care of and having a great time at Gochenauer’s!

It was too expensive and I did not like how nobody was there with the animals after 6 pm. Return at 7 or 8 am. Both my dogs were bathed and cleaned when we went in and when we picked up they smelled just awful and we bathed them when we got home. Asked to talk to the owner was given the run around. Told I would get a call in the afternoon the next day. Never happened. I thought they could have at the least taken dogs for a walk and more play time. I would be willing to give a second chance to see if this time would be better. Maybe in the future. I was informed this is a great place I hope other people's experiences were much better.

Very knowledgeable staff. Took very good care of our cats. We called in twice to check on our cats and the staff went to look to see what was written down before telling us anything. Would use them again and recommend them to anyone looking to board your pet.

Can’t say enough about the staff and owner. They were beyond accommodating with our LONG term boarding situation. My dog is a rescue with some behavior problems and we never had the slightest problem or worry with Gochenauer Kenel.

We boarded our dog sage here 2 weeks ago. They were able to take her even with it being short notice. The staff was friendly and the facility was nice and clean. We were worried about kennel cough from other reviews but pleased to say our dog came home healthy and remains healthy!

The place is very well kept. Every time I walk in there, I see someone cleaning.Some of the products they sell is a little pricey for me, but their 5% discount for using cash really helps. Not to mention they will couple the 5% with the 10% coupons in the clipper for a 15% discount. Very nice of them.The staff behind the counter is very friendly and happy to help you quickly. Some days, especially weekends, there are many people in at once and the wait does become longer, but this happens everywhere on a busy day. You just have to be patient. If you are in a hurry on those days, may I suggest leaving your house a little earlier to accommodate for the wait.My dog did contract canine cough last year but after researching, I found that it wasn't the fault of the staff or business. (Please read up on Canine Cough before you give poor reviews to kennels)Overall, the kennel is a perfect spot to leave your pet. I believe my Lacey is well cared for when I take her in as she always returns tired, but happy. She can't wait to go back again.

Due to unforseen circumstances, we contacted Gochenauer Pet Resort with a last minute need to drop off 2 large dogs for over a week. They made room for us and the dogs had a great time. Clean facility with absolutely awesome staff! We will definitely be sending our pups there again!

Exceptional facility! This is the place to leave your pet if you’re in need of boarding services. Their grooming is top notch as well! The staff is always polite and friendly. The facility is always clean and cared for. My dogs always come home happy.In regards to the review left about barking dogs .. they’re dogs. They bark. So I’m not quite sure why that’s relevant. How would you stop them from barking exactly? 🤔 I think it’s a bit of stretch to say “you could hear a pin drop” at the normal facility. There must have been no dogs there! Even during the busiest days in the lobby there I haven’t heard the dogs.

The last 2 times my dog has been there this year he came home with kennel cough both times. I understand it's a very contagious virus and spreads easily however I feel that better sanitation methods should be implemented considering that it seems to be an on going issue that's not getting better for many months. I will have to try another place next time.

I've only gone to get my dog's nails trimmed. However, my experience has been nothing but exceptional. They are efficient, kind, and show a real care about your pet. I've heard that they are great with overnight and kenneling, but I have no experience with that.

Great experience. They emailed us about our dog having ear problems midway through his stay and gave us the option to have his ears cleaned at the groomer. They seem to be very tuned in to a dog's well-being and do a nice job of communicating to the owner. Thanks!

Awful place. I booked a groom appt and requested a groomer, in which they were not there that day. They failed to inform me until after the groom, and make my own decision. What service is this? People behind the desk don’t have a brain cell. Gail, who I’ve spoken to on multiple accounts, has poor management, lies, and does not know how to communicate anything. Don’t take your dog here.

I took my dog here for a few days while I was on vacation because our usual place didn’t have any availability. The first thing that I noticed is how stressed all of the dogs sounded, I couldn’t hear myself think. In our usual place you could hear a pin drop. I had gotten kennel cough warnings, which there is a risk anywhere you go so I didn’t think much of it until I picked him up. He had one of the worst cases of kennel cough I’ve ever seen. I have NEVER seen my dog so stressed. His throat was so sore and he hardly could bark so he was probably barking the entire time he was there. If I would’ve known it was going to be so bad I would’ve never left him there. Never again using anywhere other than our normal place.

We've brought our dogs here over the years and it's been nice, but after our pup's last stay we won't be doing that anymore. They weren't feeding her often. We received back the food we had separately bagged and rationed out to last for her stay. She was much thinner upon picking her up. The kennel cough she got was just the icing on the cake

I really love Gochenauer Kennels and would trust them with my pets anytime. Comet (my senior puppers) was returned to us happy and healthy after a full week with them in March. He had zero issues reacclimating back home which tells me he was well cared for during his stay. And they responded quickly when I emailed halfway thru the week. The experience was wonderful! Our dog Lucy had a rough start until we adopted her last year, and we were worried how she might react -- thinking she was being abandoned again at a shelter. But the staff was fantastic and treated her like a queen. We called often to check in and they were happy to give us updates. The facility is spotless and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend them.

This was my 2nd time taking my Corgi here. No issues back in July.Trudy did not greet me when I came in. I'm not sure if it was because of my age but she was very pleasant to the lady in her mid 50s ahead of me. I patiently waited to be acknowledged, after a few minutes I walked up to the counter and said I was there to pick up my dog. She didn't say anything, thankfully the younger employee was there and said she could grab him for her.I am a manager and have trained all of my employees to greet every customer that walks in the door.The other part of my bad experience is my dog smelled AWFUL!! I had to go home with our windows down and gave him a bath the moment we got home.I'm very disappointed with what happened this time. I should've read more reviews.Unfortunately I will no longer bring my dog here.

Took our dog there for boarding, and he came home with kennel cough. The sign on the door said please keep sick animals at home, so I thought he'd be ok. He wasn't. Noticed the cough as soon as we got home. How long was he coughing before we picked him up? Our vet said they knew where he was because they have had many patients come in that have stayed there all with kennel cough. They should be responsible and shut down for cleaning if it's that bad.

We needed a place for our girls to stay while I was down at Johns Hopkins for brain surgery. Just about all I could think about were my dogs and how I missed them. They had a great experience. Our two Corgis loved it there. The one female had been a bit timid, dominated by the other. I was shocked when they brought them out on the leashes. They looked so good and had obviously been brushed and played with and the timid girl had come out of her shell! The facility was spotless, contrary to some other reviews. We love our girls very much and will have NO reservations letting them stay with Gochenauer Kennels in the future.

They took good care of our dog twice now. A bit pricey when you add the "extras" to keep your pet from getting bored, like a walk or playtime, or even your own treats. Our dog seems to like it there so far though.

Our dog, Payton, is always excited to visit Gochenauer's so they're doing something right behind those doors! We have used them as a kennel several times and have recently used them for grooming. Our dog comes home clean, brushed, and smells great. I feel like they sneak in some extras in that bath package. Seriously, they do a fantastic job. 👏

I was recommended to this kennel through a Facebook group for my children’s soccer team. I was told they were friendly and very professional by my friend Susan. None of that rang true when I walked into the door. Absolutely none of that. The workers were snappy and rude. My dog came back with a high fever. Absolutely, completely, 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND. Do not come here if you want your dog to be healthy and happy. I’m worried his fever will spread to my sons Kyler and Brendyn…………

We used the kennel for a week during our vacation. Upon picking him up, we noticed he came out of the kennel with somewhat of a cough. It was really noticeable during the car ride home. The staff did not mention to us at all he was showing signs of kennel cough nor did they call us when the symptoms appeared. It was really hard not to notice and no way they could not hear him sneezing and coughing if he was getting the attention we paid for him to have. His stay included walks and play time but even with him just laying there they would have heard it. I understand things like this can happen, however the lack of care provided to our dog and error in communication is very disturbing and unprofessional. We will not be using them in the future as we can not trust them to relay information pertaining to our dog.
