Went there to use 5 dallars off a 15 dallars purchase went to register the price came to 14.99 that was bore taxes the kid said I should accept it went to car and looked at receipt it didn't take it off went back in and ask a guy about it he said it didn't because it was 14.99 not 15.00 he told me to buy a 3.00 candy bar and i returned the item they are worried about one penny what a cheap company I think im going somewhere else now on

I have bought a Stihl ms180 chainsaw, a Stihl fs 56 trimmer and a Stihl ms 250 chainsaw every time has been a good experience. The Stihl equipment is some of the best and it is nice to have a local shop and not have to deal with big box stores

Just a PSA if you have any outdoor or other equipment that needs services. Proceed with caution if you take anything to Stanfords. They picked my riding mower up on 2/15 to “service” it and dropped it back off at my house 3/3. Come to find out the battery was so dead it wouldn’t crank at all. It worked completely fine when they came to pick it up. So I went to the store today to discuss the issues, I was given nothing but a defense on how it was there fault, and how batteries just go bad. While, I do agree with that, but maybe it had something to do with letting the mower sit outside for 2 weeks while you waited to service it. If you weren’t ready to service it, then you shouldn’t be picking them or having customers drop them off. They refused to do anything to rectify the situation, when I asked to speak with a manager and proceeded to try and ask him how they could have serviced it, which including changing the oil, how they were able to get it to start it to check that all the “work” they performed was proper, if it wouldn’t start. They bet would directly answer my question, the exchange with the manager became somewhat escalated to the point that he got into my face and followed me as I attempted to walk out of store like he wanted to escalate it to a physical altercation. So, moral of the story is that I will never set foot in Stanfords again, supporting local business isn’t always the right thing to do if you are treated like this. Corporate home improvement stores would treat you better than what I received today.

Very Expensive! Garden plants and items! No price down areas!? No Saving Items!? Example: Bought #2 cans of spray paint about 2 weeks ago for $5.00 and now they're over $8.00 a can!??? Wish they would have more reasonable prices!?? We do like their Rental Services!

Pretty nice for a locally owned hardware store. The people are friendly and there's a bunch of cats all over the store. I hope you like cats. They don't have vinyl floor tiles, tho. Makes me wonder what else they don't carry.

Great polite and helpful service. I love the unique selection in this store. The holiday items are beautiful. I got some duplicate keys made which was painless but after getting home I realized that I didn't have my original key. The bag of keys i was handed only had my new keys. They were closed when I got home so I will call in the morning to make sure it is located for pickup. Simple mistake.

20 lb Propane tanks cost $24.99 to refill. Go across the street to old Pop Stop and trade it in for a new tank filled for a $1 less ! Found this out after I was told my tank was too old, which is wierd because it came with the grill I purchased at Stanford's 2 years ago.

Really good place to get home improvement items and things that you need the only thing is don't return a tool because I was given a problem by one of the guys who wants to be a big wig I think in the Stanford web of leadership I used a tool for half a day and he said it was dirty well that would be because I used the tool and how did you how did it stop working he asked by using the tool I said and they were very stupid nominal questions that wasted over an hour and a half of my time trying to get a return on a sawzall that should have lasted months if not years not half a day I'll set a reminder people that the hours of operation posted on the internet is not correct it says open till 8:00 suddenly open till 7:00 monkey wrench in the returning process but other than that selection is good the stores clean it's just super manager of the tools doesn't expect you to work at all you should put them on a shelf and admire them for their beauty and luster not for the ability and then completing a job rent over

It's a nice store, people are always friendly and helpful. It's easy to get around in, and if you cannot find something, there is always someone there to direct you.We bought 3 bags of black mulch. The mulch was terrible. Mostly covered in white mold already it was very bad. I would not recommend this product.

It is a small town hardware store. The people are nice and helpful. It is stocked pretty well. The prices are pretty good. The staff knows what they are talking about. They have most of your needs and can get anything you want. They run specials all the time. Overall a good place to good when you are in need.

I feel fortunate to have a home center just a few miles from home. Yes prices can run a little higher but not worth an extra hour driving back and forth for a dollar or so. Most staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Just happy to have them!

This is what you would expect in a local hardware store. Lots of selection with great service and product knowledge. Prices are a little higher than the box stores, but at least these guys know what they're talking about when you ask a question.

Went there ask them a few questions one guy looked at me like I was stupid the other two just looked at the one guy so I felt like my one leg was being told and the other leg was being kicked right between so again it depends who you are when you walk into Stanford's and Vandergriff so I don't know what to tell you three stars couple times I was there it was very nice the lady at the cement part the lumber yard they were nice people but I guess you got to know what the hell you're looking for cuz you're not allowed to ask questions if certain people make you feel stupid in there

Standfords is a great local hardware store for leechburg, the prices are high but if i am in a pinch they usually have what i need for my weekend projects. Sometimes its worth paying more than driving all the way to lowes.

The store Organized and had all the Essentials that Hareware store carries! Was getting some Top soil for a flower 🌼 box I had made, Stanford had exactly what I needed and the price was very Good (Reasonable) lower than I expected! 👍I will go back for future needs.😉👍

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. They carry Benjamin Moore paints which is a bonus. They have a large selection of higher quality tools and products such as Weber grills and Milwaukee. The lumber yard is also well stocked with building materials. A nice one stop shop for any scale of project.
