Bought 2 used foal halters for less than it would have cost to have purchased online for one leather halter; not including what shipping would have charged. The way babies grow so fast, quality used leather halters are very cost effective, and the store is a great resource.

If we could give 0 stars we would. My daughter and wife came in to get equipment and information for a new horse that we had. We are new to the field and were hoping to get some information along the way. The owner could not get up nor stop eating in order to talk through equipment. NEVER GO THERE. Many options in the area where they are not rude.

Woman running the store was rude and unhelpful. When asked questions she was dismissive and acted like she couldn’t be bothered helping me. Years ago I had much more pleasant experiences at this store. This was definitely the last time I go here. From now on I’ll take my business to places who are more upscale in their customer service.

This is the second time I have gone here and sadly I didn’t experience the warmth and friendliness I did the first visit. This is also the second time were I have been sold treats that have expired. After getting back from the 45 minute drive and realizing the treats had expired in October of 2021, I called to ask about either getting a refund or store credit, and also asked if that can’t be done could I exchange them in store. The person on the phone, the same person who I believe rang me up, had a tone with me and wasn’t being so kind. Makes me not want to do business with them again since I did nothing to prompt the attitude I received. I felt like an inconvenience to them for even being in the store. It’s a shame since I really liked the store’s supply and products they have.

Cross Roads has a little bit of everything and something for everyone. They have a vast (fairly priced) collection of consignment items as well as a great selection of new gear. This is my favorite go to tack shop in the area.

Great place to go, especially on a budget. I never feel like I'm getting the upsell, and sometimes when I've looked at more expensive pieces she's given me alternatives at a lower price point just to compare. Likewise for things like green spot remover or tack cleaner, I always get a good recommendation for something that works even if it's not the most expensive item. Also appreciate they have used/consignment.

Absolutely love the selection Steph has. She so helpful and her dogs are so nice. I also give her horse shows 5 stars as well.Everything is so well put together and organized. I always look forward to seeing Steph and her crew at the shows. If only her shop was closer to me then I would be there more often.

I have to agree with the other posters that this place is definitely not worth your time or money. I was trying to be positive and hope they weren’t true, but I would also give 0 stars if I could. Two women were working. Neither of which said hello or asked if I needed help. I was looking at boots and the taller woman didn’t say a word to me the whole time but just kept walking by me like I didn’t belong there. Then, I’m pretty sure she told the dog to “get me.”I felt very uncomfortable. You’re running a business…please get out of it cause obviously you don’t care about your customers. I really don’t even know how you’ve been in business as long as you have. The good reviews have to be fake. The only good thing was the cute dogs. Will never waste my time or money here again. I asked when I purchased something (I unfortunately needed that day), if the one area was the only place for used paddock boots and she said yes and then made a point to tell me their new boots weren’t expensive. So I basically felt like she was trying to say I was cheap. You know nothing about me. I like boots broken in and was looking for Ariats which they do not sell. I will continue to go to shops in Md that I love, even with the distance for the great selection and customer service which you lack. I’m completely taken by my experience that a tack shop could be so horrible. I hope I keep others from going and having to endure what I did.

I really like this place. Nothing fancy. Helpful, nice people, variety of gear for mutiple levels and disciplines. Thing are new mixed in with consignment. Prices are reasonable compared to online.

I wish i could leave 0 stars for this place. I have never been disrespected more every in my life by some large women who was working there. not sure if she was the owner but SHE DID NOT HELP US AT ALL. we asked a question about boot sizes and she told us to go figure it out. She harassed me about being parked in the wrong spot by accident and literally RAN after us after we left yelling as us saying she doesn’t even want our money when all we wanted to do was buy a couple pairs of boots. I will never come here again and i’m telling everything I know to never do there. she was the rudest women I have ever met. I was about to call the cops because i felt so threatened by her running after us.

I'm hesitant to write too positive of a review because if I do, you will want to go swipe all my bargains! Can't say enough good things about Cross Roads. My wife and I drive 2 hours to get here and it is almost always worth it! So go get yourself some good tack at great prices (just don't swipe my bargains!)

Was looking for some new boots while in PA and discovered this place. Local residents recommended Sheplers and another Sporting goods store, but Cross Road had a nice selection and the prices were great. Person at counter was very friendly and a nice dog helped out too.

They are the only local supplier of a supplement I give to my horse." Equinety " for foundered horses and lameness issues.I only go there every three months they always seem to have what I need on hand without having to wait for a special order.Very accommodating.Well worth the visit !

Good selection of all things horse related, however the costumer service I experienced was such that I won't be returning. The man at the cash register was very friendly but the woman was unfriendly and unhelpful and I felt like my questions about products were bothering her. Not a pleasant shopping experience for me.

It was absolutely horrible. as soon as me and my mother walked into the store to have our saddles consigned we immediately got attitude from the workers. they barely even looked at our saddles which were both in great condition and immediately gave us attitude about it and turned them down. she said “ur not getting much for the western saddle and im not gonna take ur english at all.” i would give 0 stars if i could. me and my mother wasted a 45 minute drive.

First time there with my neice and I loved it. What I really liked wad that you can bring items your not using anymore and she sells them and you have an account with them and your money from the sale goes in account and you can spend the money there for items you need. Nice place to go.

I love this store because they have so much to choose from and the owners are wonderful also they offer where you can bring in used riding items to sell and also buy. If you never been there before go and check it out.
