Such a great, local, family owned restaurant. The food is absolutely fantastic. Always made fresh. Great variety on the menu from steaks, burgers, hot sandwiches (the hot roast beef and turkey are not to be missed), to seafood, like shrimp, lobster, and crab legs. You CAN NOT leave without one of their homemade deserts. Cakes, pies, apple dumplings, brownies, and more.The restaurant does get busy at times, but the staff does a great job of turning over tables and there is never much of a wait (I can't ever remember waiting more than 10 minutes or so). The wait staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful.

I am a truck driver. I parked across the street at Sunoco and I ate there for the first time within the last three weeks. I had the haddock and it was awesome. The whole meal was awesome. The staff are extremely friendly. My coworker and I have told a lot of other drivers. I came in tonight and I ordered the prime rib. Unfortunately, I don’t eat cooked meat. I love it, rare, and I do mean rare that it talks back to me. I couldn’t get the prime rib rare it was pink. So instead, I ordered the mushroom, Swiss burger, rare, and it to was cooked. Maybe the majority of the clientele like their meat cooked but I don’t. I was raised eating meat, rare. The waitress was awesome putting up with me. She was still very kind and sweet. I actually felt bad for her. It wasn’t her fault. She’s not the cook. But she tried everything to please me to no avail. Would I still recommend that place? Absolutely! Well, I got my iced tea and I grabbed one of those desserts out of the refrigerator. So that will be my dinner; dessert for dinner.

We were visiting from out of town and looking for an uncomplicated food location and Green's didn't disappoint! It was great for the whole family, with a salad bar to boot. The wife got the steak and it was a very generous portion. And let's not forget the prices! I don't think this place got the memo about inflation because I fed a family of 5 for $45 with drinks. Extremely reasonable pricing. Thanks.

Family oriented restaurant. We recently visited Green's family restaurant for my mother's birthday and we surprising impressed. The menu has something for everyone. I have picky kids so a kid friendly menu is a must. I got the Shrimp and Scallop Scampi with Cajun seasoning, my husband got Alaskan crab legs, my son got the shrimp basket and my daughter a grilled cheese. Not one of us had any complaints. We were with a large party and everyone there had nothing but good things to say.They also serve homemade deserts!

Green’s Family Restaurant in Lavelle, PA is your typical old style family restaurant. I believe it was an old hotel in the past. We actually time our departure from home when going to our farm in Montoursville to specifically arrive at Green’s for dinner.It’s decorations are unique. Waitresses get to know you and greet you with a cheery “hello”. The menu is filled with comfort food. The macaroni and cheese on a cold winter evening is to die for. There is a salad bar, homemade soups, homemade desserts...you can always find something delicious at very reasonable prices and always leave satisfied.I recommend Green’s Family Restaurant and give it five stars.

Pleasantly surprised! We have lived in the area for years and never checked out the place. My grandparents suggested we give it a try and we weren't disappointed. The food was very good. We had the prime rib sandwich and fries. I highly recommend! The service was great and the atmosphere was very cozy. We were super full after we ate but luckily they had a cute dessert case filled with goodies to take home. We'll definitely be back in the future.

Family restaurant offering homemade style American foods. My group was the only customers in the restaurant that were under 60😃 and they definitely seem to cater towards the older crowd.The shrimp and burgers were great. The steak was ok but nothing special.

Homemade food was so good, it'll make you slap your momma and the size of the dish was BIG. Our server was helpful with our questions and gave some tips for something I ain't never tried. This is definitely like a "everyone knows each other" but we didn't feel uncomfortable haha but this place should really be on a list of stops for travelers. *Prices were good too.

I arrived at 740 pm. Google said they closed at 8. But I decided to try anyway. I was treated extremely well. Not a complaint from anyone. In fact, they were very pleasant and professional. The food was great. It was obvious that the food was cooked and not just reheated. Great portions and reasonable prices. Will definitely go again and send many hungry drivers that way

Wow, great food at an even better price. Low key kind of diner, no need to dress up to feel welcome. The staff was friendly, and the food was great.... ah the pierogies with butter and onions... yum!!!! Biggest perk - my family of 3 ate out for under $20. Wish I had enough room for those cakes, they look delicious.

The quality of the food has gone down at this restaurant. Highly disappointed in the seafood that was served. The shrimp and scallop scampi was a joke. The dish contained 5 shrimp and about 5 scallops, which were overcooked and dry. Not sure where the scampi part of the dish went. The seafood combo platter was mostly linguine noodles in a bowl with about 3 shrimp, a piece of fish and a rather sad looking crab cake. The steak was ok, rather thin, with little flavor. I don't believe we will be returning for another meal. Definitely not worth what we paid for.

I ordered the haddock and sirloin tips. The haddock was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I asked for the tips to include mushrooms and onions. The amount of mushroom and onion was light, but overall they were tender and cooked to perfection. Overall everything was great. I have never had a bad meal at Greens.

Normally I love this place. Seems to being going downhill though. Today I ordered a California Cheeseburger for takeout. I got there early to pick it up. What I got was a cold burger smothered with ketchup. Pretty gross. It did have lettuce, tomato, & onion on it anyway

Great home cooked food right across the street from the Sunoco truck stop. They have steak, prime rib, seafood, and many many choices of homemade desserts. Excellent place to grab a bite on a layover at the truck stop. The waitstaff is very friendly and really did a fine job looking after me. Thanks for the fantastic meal Greens!
