These people are money hungry and have no empathy for people and their pets. The lack of compassion and understanding as well as active listening skills suck. Over charging people for same day emergency appointment $95 and not understanding that if they have to do X-rays and provide medication it will be more. If you want to cater to rich people that has the funds than cater to them and move to that neighborhood but high charging people for vaccines you get from the manufacturer at a discount price and over charging people for their hurt pets is sad. My wife and I have been bringing our Bernie boy here for years. Dr. Derek and the rest of his staff are smart, compassionate and beyond capable of solving almost all complex animal issues. It’s amazing what they can figure out while our furry friends remain silent! If you are in need of a wonderful practice that won’t gauge you, I highly recommend Lansdowne. Do some research, their prices can’t be beat….

Had a sick kitten only four days, they came out and attended to him urgently. And showed compassion telling me what I expected that he needed not suffer any more. The whole staff was very compassionate about the whole situation. I want to thank everyone at the Vet for being so kind, compassionate and caring. Thank You.

I had a sick bird who required multiple visits. Dr. Rassin handled my bird with so much care. The whole team is amazing. They answered my multiple follow up questions in a timely manner. They also called to check in on my bird multiple time, which I appreciated. I highly recommend Dr. Rassin. Thank you for taking care of my bird!

We took moonshine our fur baby to see Dr.Wineburgh for the first time for ear infections and allergies him as well as his staff especially Joanne was awesome they took such great care of her and was so gentle with her even though she is a handful they explained everything to us to help her feel better we will definitely be going back. Thank you again moonshines mom ☺️

This place is an awful practice. They are unprofessional and have old run down equipment. They don’t have a dental x ray machine which isn’t ideal because you don’t know if you’re getting the whole root out when extracting a tooth. The WORST OF ALL is that they offer declawing services for cats. That’s a big red flag for me and for most people who care about cats. This place declaws for the money per the hospital manager. Please don’t take your animal here because they care more about money then your pets well being.

I was very nervous about my pets procedure but the staff was amazing, answered every question and took great care of her. Dr. Raissin is amazing with rabbits, definitely the vet of choice for little buns.

I took my cat here last year. He was 16 and sick. I never had an elderly cat, so I didn't know how sick he was. My poor boy was on his last leg, and these people treated me with so much compassion. I had to let my baby go because he was suffering. I couldn't even bring myself to go to the front desk to pay. They took my card to the front desk for me and stayed with him because I wasn't strong enough to😔. I got him cremated, and they gave me fur and a paw print. My daughter was 1 years old when we got him. He was her best friend. RIP CAT! God bless the staff at this facility for all their work!

I just want to thank Dr. Meade for giving my bearded dragon such phenomenal care and for teaching me a thing or two about him that I didn’t know. I was so worried and they addressed all of my concerns. The whole office was so pleasant and professional and I’ll definitely be back for future pets / further lizard care <3

I come in for flea and heart worm meds. This is the second time this front desk has made this experience hard. The first time it was miscommunication. Today I wasn’t advised how long between treatments my daughters dog could go. I was not prepared for the fee . The female doctor says it’s “your responsibility to know” excuse me how would I know if NO ONE ever told me. I have never worked with this woman and hope to never encounter her again. The male doctor he is great! No more Saturday visits for me.

Well I went in there with my senior cat today. First I want to say the receptionist was very sweet and kind. I also understand how expensive vet care is. I am pay check to pay check. I paid for the visit and my cat who is 11 is not doing good. Infact she is dying. They felt a mass on her and suggested hospitalize her. I can't afford to do that as it would cost thousands of dollars. So the humane thing to do would be to euthanize her. They wanted almost $300 to do so. My cat is now going to starve to death because I can't afford the $300. Nobody there would work with my on a payment plan or anything. I just think it's exceptionally cruel to turn a cat away who is not eating not drinking water and will suffer and die a slow painful death as they have the medicine right there to help and take her out of pain. I will never understand how anyone goes into this business and acts like they care about animals AT ALL, Nobody seems to have a heart anymore and is clearly just about making money. It's disgusting. To see a animal so sick and refuse to help at all is especially cruel. People should have a lot more compassion towards animals and not just there for the money. People like that do NOT CARE about ANIMALS, they only care how fast they can make a buck. They should be ashamed of themselves

This vet is great! My bunnies and my dog go here and we love the exotic vet and the regular one we've seen. You can make appointments in a timely matter and you don't have to wait long when you get there. The reception area is usually empty and quiet, which is great if you're bringing your dog.

The staff were wonderful. We were seen quickly. My hamster is a good boy and staff were carrying him in their hands for ages, he loved the attention. I would highly recommend this facility. Everything was explained clearly and thoroughly. I drove over 2 hours to get there and would not hesitate to do it again.

This Vet takes care of all my puppy's needs. Due to Covid they come out to your car and take your pet in the office while you wait in the car. I like the safety of this method. Also they are generally right on time with your appointment.

Everyone at the Lansdowne Veterinary Hospital was fantastic, from the folks at the front desk to the vet techs to the vet. Special thanks to Dr. Rassin and Mr. Mosley who were exceptionally kind, gracious, and skilled when my cat decided to have a meltdown. The office itself is clean and comfortable and the staff are attentive. I highly recommend and will continue to take both of my cats to them.

I absolutely LOVE this practice. Dr. Derek has been our family Vet for a LONG time. He's a great Veterinarian who truly loves animals and understands his patients are family to their humans. The staff is equally amazing, sweet, professional, and always giving my fur babies love and affection. They're also wonderful and kind if you have to say goodbye to a much loved fur baby. I know this from personal experience, they're ready with tissues, hugs, loads of compassion and empathy. They give you time to sit with your baby as you say goodbye and after, time to be able to let go and gather your strength and composure, so that you can leave with dignity. I can't say enough good things about this practice or, the people who work so hard to care for the health and welfare of our fur babies. I love these amazing people!

The most unprofessional encounter I have ever experienced with a veterinarian in my life. After waiting 2 days after being told I would receive a call from Dr Wineburgh to go over my dogs tests results I decided to go to the office to speak to him in person. He apparently didn’t appreciate my in person visit and I am still mind boggled by the things he said to me and his demeanor. I’ll never recommend this Vet. A simple apology for not calling would have sufficed .

We just moved to Philadelphia from a small town. We did not expect to be able to find a vet with availability at such short notice with amazing quality. Our puppy had a cracked nail and was able to be seen the day after we called for her to be treated. We were able to also get her microchipped that day. Everyone we spoke to throughout the entire process was extremely kind and helpful and had the best energy. We noticed our dog had an overdue vaccination and they agreed to get her up to date a few days later at an affordable cost. I cannot recommend Lansdowne Vet Hospital enough!

They have good weekend hours until 5 on Sat. They have plenty of parking. The vet did a examination and found arthritis on my dog. She was able to recommend a treatment. I also picked up heart and flea treatment. I would recommend this vet

EDIT: Just in reference to their response that I was somehow scheduled with their exotics vet - I didn't have a choice as to who I was scheduled for. I had emailed that I needed an appointment for my cat, and they gave me a time to come in but didn't say who I was scheduled with. I showed up on time and I guess that's who I was scheduled with? She was nice, and as someone who has exotics at home I appreciate that they have someone on staff for exotics since they can be hard to come by, but it's strange that my cat's appointment went to her. I wouldn't have intentionally chosen an exotics doctor for my cat's dental consult lol.Took my 12 y/o cat here for a dental consult after confirming over email that they do dental work. Only after the exam did they tell me they don’t have an X-ray machine and would recommend my cat go elsewhere for his dental work and gave me a list of places to go. Nowhere else would book my cat for a cleaning without a fresh consult at their practice of course, so it just felt like I wasted my time and money. On top of that they couldn’t send my cat’s record files to another vet except over fax….in 2022??? I wouldn’t say this place is bad—they were generally pretty nice, it just seemed wayyy disorganized compared to other vets I’ve been to. My cat is now set up somewhere else for his dental cleaning and it was like night and day how streamlined & organized the new place was in comparison.

I loved my experience here and it helped very much that the vet has a leopard gecko just like me. She really gave me some useful tips that I hope will help solve my gecko’s eye problem. The only down side is that the office is so far from me. I hope they are able to open an office in south Philadelphia one day.

Took a kitten in to get checked out and got a lab done, but the vet tech overlooked that the kitten had a parasite. We now have been dealing with health issues with our 3 adult cats due to this oversight. Originally I was excited to have a vet office that was so close to home, but after my last visit I would like to make sure people know that this is not a top choice. 2 it of 3 visits my wife and I have felt rushed and the vet ignored anything that I said when I brought my sick older cat in to get checked out. It was only after they did blood work on my older cat that they looked back at the lab for the kitten and noticed that she was indeed positive for giardia. My wife was told that it was common and that the kitten wasn't contagious, then two days later we get a call that the cat we brought in was also positive for the parasite. Nothing about this process is even in an order that makes any sense, and I wish it wasn't such a hassle to tell. Bottom line, do not go here, especially if you have a cat.
