Recently, exiting this location has been ridiculously frustrating. Basically, they expect you to check yourself out as there is always a line at the staffed register, sometimes only one open. I’m fine with that. BUT, at the same time, they don’t trust you to check yourself out. I used express pay in the app to skip register lines. I didn’t have enough items to not have every item visible in the cart upon exit. Exit staff scans 7 of my 10 items (not count them, but rescan them). I question wisdom in ever using express pay if they rescan 3/4 of cart. He tells me that next time they’ll scan less. Ok. So next trip to store comes and I buy 7 items, all inexpensive. Use express pay (long lines at all registers including self checkout). Proceed to exit where TWO people are checking through a gigantic cartload of groceries in front of me looking for specific items on the receipt. They find them all, but it take like 5 minutes to do this. Gah. I’m next. Person proceeds to scan ALL 7 items in my cart. I asked her what’s the point in using express pay if they are going to rescan every item? Might as well just have her check me out at exit. Could have counted items and reconciled against receipt. She retorts, “have you shopped here before”? Uh, only since they opened. I told her I was told they’d scan less next time. She was like “oh well”. Long line just to exit store is crazy. Really unpleasant experience. I’ll only use curbside pickup in future. They can shop for me, check me out, and bring my items to car. Done with the nonsense. They’ll lose money in the end because no impulse buys. Sadly, all retail seems to be going the direction of the airlines. More responsibility put on customers with militant employees expected to police the customers. Most people are honest but we are all being treated like thieves now. Just hire more cashiers, pay them fair wages, and the problem goes away.

Customer service counter. Returning one item, food in packaging found to be open, therefore dangerous. Was told it would take "fifteen minutes" before someone could process a simple five-dollar refund. Manager refused to help.A week earlier, many people lined up waiting for SELF-CHECK. Most of the SELF-CHECKS were closed. When I asked "why?" I was told "We don't have enough people to open them."They're SELF-CHECKS. Isn't that the point? Customers SELF. CHECK.

I came by to get my propane tank filled at 1:35 and saw a sign saying the worker was on his 30-minute lunch break, with no explanation as to when it would end. Another customer mentioned that the sign had been up since 1:00, so they got a manager involved to see where he was. When the worker came and told us off for interrupting his lunch break, which he said started at 1:30, he shoved the sign at my face and asked me if I knew how to read it. When he finally filled my tank up, he threw the tank to the ground towards me. Very dangerous, very rude, and I hope the good people at BJ's can stop this kind of situation from happening again.

After dealing with multiple store associates and managers who wasted so much of my time over a discontinued item that wouldn’t help me, I finally was given the assistant managers name Nick. From start to finish he was just amazing and I can’t say enough good things about him! He is truly the best and very knowledgeable! Thank you for listening to me and providing me with outstanding, up and beyond service any customer deserves!

I have been a member since the early 90's. This was the first time the staff at that store observed me shopping and checking out of store. This made me feel very uncomfortable during the entire time I was in the store. I also observed other customers shopping but no attention to them but the staff was watching my every move. I hope this isn't the practice. This will cause me to shop some where else. And tell everyone I know not to shop there. Please change this policy. 🙏

Don’t waste your time coming here for propane. They are so annoyed when you come to fill tanks. I’ve been told “we aren’t filling tanks today” or asked to come back a few hours later on so many occasions.

The lady at the customer service is not professional and tried to rip off me for no reason.I had got this coupon in my mail that says I could sign up 1 yr club or business membership for $20 so I went up there asked about it and the lady told me I have to have the coupon physically or I have to sign up through online. Which is no problem I came to my car tried to sign up for a membership and just had one quick question while I was signing up for business membership. So I went back inside asked a question and she has told me that coupon is just for regular membership whilst it clearly says you can use it for the business membership! And she also told me if I am trying to sign up in club it would be $60???! While the poster inside of the club clearly stating that SIGN UP FOR $55 so disrespectful

went to fill gas on Saturday and all the pumps were blocked off. a family member just filled gas 1/2 hour before us. no sign on why it was closed. had to fill somewhere else & pay more; what's the point of membership if the pumps are closed?

Typical wholesale club. Worth it only if you can get your membership for free or very close to free. Not all items are bargains. Some are higher than local grocery store prices. Take advantage of the app and clip all the coupons to make the most of this place.

Always some great bargains here. And a large selection of high quality items for very reasonable prices. It really helps when we're all trying to save on our grocery bills and filling up our cars with fuel.

I was in your lansdale store today shopping with a friend. Very disappointed in service when leaving. Only one cashier working at register. All other lanes were self checkout which I refuse to use. I am currently with Costco which has many cashiers. Unfortunately I will never become a member of your store. Members also expressed their disappointment in your store. People want the best service they shop they don’t need to ring up their own purchases. This is not a good situation.

This place is horrible. The employees are the worst and make you feel uncomfortable when you're in the store. You're forcing me to use self-checkout and then insinuating that I am stealing product from you? It's utterly ridiculous. It's unfortunate other members seem to be having the same experience. Luckily, there are other discount places in the area, like costco. So I will not be renewing my membership next year. Save yourself the hassle and go to Costco or somewhere else. This place is horrendous.

I have been going to this location for a little over a year now. The manager Kathy was extremely helpful on multiple occasions. Unfortunately, they are short-staffed and only have self check out available. I said something the the man when I provided my receipt and he was extremely rude in his response.

This membership store is never too packed and their checkout lines run very smoothly; not so for many others. Best Gas prices around the area for members. With coupons and specials they provide amazing value; your membership is well worth it. Very clean, safe and well organized. Plenty of parking too.

Went to this location since it's closest. Everytime we go we always find what we were looking for. Employees are really helpful and nice. Wish they had a better system to packing aka just cardboard boxes to pack. Prices are reasonable, and membership is affordable. Always check here when most chain like stores: Walmart. Target, etc are out of stock with some items. They have wonderful seasonal, electronics, furniture, books, clothing. Definitely worth checking out.

I’ve belonged to BJ’s for years and have always loved the store. However, the past 3 times my husband and I have went in for some quick items, we’ve been harassed by vendors selling stuff. When I say harassed, I mean that they don’t simply take a “no thank you” without then arguing with you or trying to convince you. The last time, my arms were full of items making my way to the greeter to show my receipt, and the girl actually stepped out from the side and walked in front of me with her arms in the air to pitch something. Now they’re starting to block the freakin’ exit. It’s getting absurd and I am starting to think Costco may be a better option whenever my membership expires.I do have to say that the door greeters/receipt checkers at this locations are always super friendly and do a great job at keeping the line going.

The store is ok, and they have some nice deals. Don't go to the deli if you don't have time to wait. It is consistently understaffed. The folks are very nice, but it just takes forever.

I was at the customer service making a return. Doug was extremely rude and didn’t seem to know what he was doing. Asked for the manager and she came to help. Manager was nice and helpful.This is why I always shop at Costco and not at bjs.Bjs has potential but they really need to train their employees. Not the first time I have had an interaction with their employees that made me think twice about coming back or renewing my membership.Definitely will not renew next year.

Great employees, and I want to specifically thank Dave (I believe that was his name) one of the employees dealing with carts who personally helped us fit a 65” TV in our Dodge Avenger. Needless to say, we managed to get it home in one piece. He is absolutely amazing and deserves recognition. We will definitely continue shopping here.

I have been here many times before for tire rotations on my Uncle's car. On my own car, there was a flat tire, out of nowhere, just one day after buying it.I was seriously upset because I had to look into buying a brand new tire. I spoke to various tire shops and they wouldn't take my third party insurer. I finally called BJs club, and Billy and Tom helped me solve this issue. It was a very minor valve stem issue that caused this huge mess. They did it for me at NO COST because it was such a quick and easy job for them.Not giving a 5 stars because I saved money. They earned the 5 stars because of professionalism, attitude, and customer service. Cheers, really solved a huge headache. Will definitely shop at BJs for new tires and rotations.

What is happening in meat department!? Two weeks ago the fresh Cornish hens I bought were bad 5 days before expiration date! Today I bought Tilapia, smells horrible and so slimy and it is dated good for another 3 days!This used to be the place to go for fresh, won't chance it again

This store have to do better job to updating labels that are not on sale anymore, why the discount labels still on the shelf? When expired 3 days before and didn’t offer you the courtesy at check out like was you fault for not reading correctly and didn’t realize that was expired 😂

I was shopping yesterday and realized that the coupons are now digital and not able to be scanned. I went to the front desk and a gentleman named Billy was most helpful. He showed me how to get the app on my phone and set up the coupons. He went above and beyond what I expected. Kudos to Billy.

Helpful staff but limited selection of products. Gasoline always much less expensive than competitors. Rapid checkout in store. Easy return if defective merchandise. Deli service is great.
