Our GSD is a relatively new patient at Landisville. We wanted a second opinion about a diagnosis and went to Landisville on the recommendation of a neighbor and the good reviews online. We liked Landisville so much that after that first visit, we decided to switch permanently because our former vet was quite a drive away. We couldn't be happier! Liesl has had several appointments there already, including one surgery, which the staff graciously scheduled around an overseas trip we had previously planned. The facility is clean and bright, the staff we have interacted with so far have been kind, we haven't had to wait excessively long in the waiting room, costs have been equal to or slightly less than our previous vet, and it's only a 15-min. drive from home. Win, win, win, win, win!

My husband and I have been taking our cat here since we moved to the area. My friend referred me here and at first I was unsure. However now it’s been a while and I can honestly say they are amazing. Our cat sees Dr. Fish normally, but he has seen Dr. Douple because his eyes. We learned pretty quickly that he has entropian. Dr. Douple was beyond amazing at explaining what this is and options to mitigate any further eye irritation for Samson. We started with staples to help, however in the long run Samson needed surgery. Dr. Douple was extremely reasonable with us when we asked about an estimate. Today Samson had his surgery, and she called to inform me it went well. I was pleased and relieved when I got the call. Once I picked him up and brought him home I was beyond pleased with the results. His eyes are wide open, and they look wonderful considering he had entropion surgery. I would absolutely recommend Landisville animal hospital to anyone. I appreciate Dr. Fish for referring us to Dr. Douple. Overall the care I’ve received from this office has been beyond wonderful! I cannot thank the staff at Landisville enough for their care and attention to our two dogs over the past few years. One of our dogs has severe anxiety when coming to the vet, and they were always able to preform the care he needed while accommodating his not-so-nice behavior. Dr. Corey always seemed excited to see him despite my dogs bad attitude 🤪 I hope to find a vet in our new state that provides the same level of care for our pups! Thank you! -Macy & Miles

We take our male & female rabbit to Landisville and I could go on and on about why I love this team but I'll try to keep it short. The girls at the front desk are always so sweet and helpful, our doctor is absolutely amazing. When our boy was sick, the team at Landisville would help me with whatever they could over the phone, including calming my bun mom nerves. Our doctor went the extra mile by pulling his files and looking over them to see what he had going on. I wouldn't trust anyone but Landisville with my rabbits!

I have used this clinic both as part of my job (transporting my client's pets to the clinic and serving as guardian of the animal/s for the duration of their appointments) and also for a second opinion for one of my own personal pets.Every vet and staff member I've encountered has been extremely kind and accommodating, very knowledgeable and thorough. Even during recent construction and the pandemic when things got a bit chaotic, the clinic was well organized and running efficiently. (Anyone who's worked with animals and the public knows what a massive feat that is!)This is a really great clinic with really fantastic staff and excellent vets. Never a bad experience there, and I will continue to recommend them to others!

I took my dog Bailey in today and was very impressed with this place. The hospital is very clean and the customer service was awesome with no waiting, right on schedule.The vet took her time and gave explanations and options. Her assistant was very pleasant and very good with Bailey.

After moving to Mt Joy, I hadn’t chosen a new vet practice….until today. When the health of my sweet kitty, Annie, declined rapidly, Landisville Veterinary was able see her within hours and assist her in crossing the Rainbow Bridge. They were caring and compassionate as we went through the process. I will be keeping them as my vet for our other kitty.

Just want to give a shout out to the vet tech who helped get Kitty back in his carrier. I’ve never had that problem before because my cats are always anxious to go home after their vet visits. I told her how much I appreciated her help but want to let Landisville Animal Hospital know how helpful she was. Maybe they can look up my recent visit with Kitty and figure out who she was.

Wow! They are compassionate and caring! Took my kitty in for an emergency when everyone else told me to go to Pet emergency which would have cost double for what was needed. I switched all my pets over to them with complete confidence my pets will be taken care of.

Staff is excellent. I have a pitbull who doesn't like car rides and often hides when she doesn't know someone. The Drs and nurses just come right on in and sit down on the floor next to her like it's no big deal. I've never seen staff members just sit on the floor to make a dog feel comfortable. Amazing!!!

UPDATE: Funny how they responded on a site that I can’t reply to their comment. I have the voicemail saved on my phone that they have the medication refill ready for pickup at their office that they now are refusing to give him since I decided to get the medication at a lower priced vendor. They do not care about my cat’s health at all!WORST vet in the area. Beware! These guys only care about making $$$. I spent $1500 here on a thyroid surgery for my cat. The surgery did not fully correct the issue, so he has been on thyroid medication until I get him for another corrective procedure that will cost another $2,000. He is out of his prescription, so I asked for a refill to get him another 2 months until I can afford the second procedure. They agreed to provide me with the medication he needed until then. They even called me and told me they had it there for me to pick up. Well I can get the medicine for HALF the price on chewy, so isn’t it logical to order it through Chewy? So that’s what I did. Well, since I ordered it through chewy and didn’t pay them the measly $20, they are refusing to fill the script without a vet visit. I’m supposed to pay $200+ for a vet visit while I’m saving up for another $2,000 that will entirely correct the issue??? They obviously do not care about my cats health whatsoever!

The staff here is fantastic even when having to go under sad circumstances they handled us well! Max, prim, and sable have found a vet office. For life now. The doctors actually sit there and talk to to explain things to make sure let parent’s understand what’s wrong or why certain things are needed. I’ve been other places and they don’t talk to you and only spend 30 mins with the pet and pet parents. I value this facility and how you treat your clients! Thank you .

Dec. 13th my little faithful Havanese Dog for 13.5 yrs had to be put down today. This little dog came into my life when my 20 yr marriage ended. Hiro the Velcro dog faithful too the end. Staff very compassionate. Thank you

We're done with them. We've spent thousands upon thousands of dollars there over the past 12 years (probably $20k+). As others have noted, their fees are probably the highest in the area. If the care is good, then that might be reasonable.I don't mind paying top dollar for good care. Unfortunately, the quality of care there has gone downhill, and some of the vets seem to be in it only to maximize their billings.

We've lived in Harrisburg for 17 years and *still* travel to Lancaster for this practice because they're so wonderful. We tried several vets up here, but I’ve yet to find one as great closer to me. Clean, helpful, friendly etc etc They've cared for ten of our pets over the past 23 years, and have always been open, honest, and pragmatic but empathetic. They always offer options and explanation I understand. Their prices are quite a bit lower than the other vets we've tried over the years, and they *NEVER* try to upsell or pressure me into buying unhelpful treatments.EDITING 9/5/19 to add: One year later and over the past year Dr. Corey and staff have been so helpful and accommodating as we went through an illness and death of our last cat and Dr. Keller and staff with emerging back issues in my doxie mix. I honestly thought we’d lose him, too, but with the plan we all came up with and continue to follow, I know we’ve added years to his life. I’m honestly not terribly motivated to find a vet nearer me at this point. (We’re quite near a wonderful animal ER for emergencies.)

I have been using Landisville Animal Hospital since the office opened. On every visit I have been happy with the service I have gotten. I have read other reviews of the cost; this vet office is no more expensive or inexpensive than the next. Yes, the costs are high, but no more so than caring for a human friend. I have had the unfortunate need for end-of-life care for a couple of my buddies. The care and understanding at Landisville Animal Hospital during that process was gentle and carried out in the kindest way possible.

I went to Landisville animal hospital after making an appointment elsewhere and hearing about atrocious practices. I chose them because they're the most highly rated, and I did not disappoint. I arrived and they sort of sped me through the process of getting me and my cat setup. it was his first appointment in Fairly routine, but the vet was super excited to meet him and even told him he was super handsome, which he is. It was very refreshing and comforting to see all of the staff on a picture on the wall with their respective furry companions. mercifully and blessedly we didn't have to do anything major, which is always scary at a vet office. I also didn't get the sense that they would randomly charge us for unnecessary BS. I would highly highly recommend this veterinarian.

We are so thankful for Landisville Animal Hospital! The recognized that our bunny needed immediate care and jumped in when our vet wouldn't see him. They saved his life. I am so pleased with Dr. Fish and the staff at Landisville Animal Hospital. We received such care, concern, and empathy from my first phone call to them. They then called us the next day to check up on our Riggins. Their care was above and beyond our expectations and we have moved all of our bunnies care to them. We've used this veterinarian for years. They were wonderful with our last cat "Daisy" and they were a partner in keeping her healthy. She lived to be 14 years old. When the time came to end her suffering, they were very helpful with the process and helped with our grieving. We recently rescued a new feline companion "Jordan" and they are and will continue to be our care provider of choice! Excellent. We have been taking our pets to LAH for 15 years and have never had a bad experience. They care most about our pets' comfort and health and when we had to put our precious Reilly down, they made the experience as peaceful as possible. We feel as though every employee at this practice is a personal friend because they take care of all of us as though we are family. Yes veterinary care is expensive but why would it be any different than health care for people--they use the same diagnostic equipment and meds in many cases. I have recommended this vet practice to all of my friends and family and some have traveled 1/2 hour or more to bring their pets here because of the quality care they provide.

Though my second-to-last visit was an extremely difficult one (dieing kitty), my overall view of LAH is excellent. I been going here since their doors opened, and, at this point, have spent time with all of the vets (including the original partners who started the practice). They all go out of their ways to explain procedures and possibilities. I honestly get more attention and communication hete than I do at my family doctor. I never feel rushed, and I get a sense they really DO care.

Been with them since the opening in the mid 1980's. I've never had a complaint and have seen several different vets at one time or another. I've had 6 different dogs seen by them over the years and have always been pleased. Great caring staff.

We had been looking for a new vet for quite sometime since our vet was extremely expensive and often times pushy and judgmental. When we adopted a new puppy from the Lancaster SPCA, she came with a coupon from LAH for a free first exam. We thought we would try them out. We were absolutely pleased. The office staff and the doctors we have seen are wonderful. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because they are rather pricey. Regardless, I have already recommended them to friends and colleagues.

We have been going to Landisville Animal Hospital for over 5 years, with two of our dogs. Our last dog had bad skin allergies and the vets kept treating the symptoms, we never felt like they tried to get to the root of the issue. Our last dog also had two separate knee surgeries there. When they were closed we had to go to another vet in the area and they were the ones that picked up on his irregular heart beat. They suggested we go to a cardiologist, we did. Upon our dogs second knee surgery, about a year later since the first knee, Landisville never checked his heart to make sure it could handle going under a second time. Two months later we had to put our dog down because of heart failure and kidney failure. Landisville had not caught either of these. It was a vet in another, again, because we were traveling for the holidays. Six days prior to his death (Friday, Dec 17) we had taken him into Landisville because our dogs stomach had been extended, looked bloated and he had been acting very lethargic. All landisville did was draw blood and run to see if it was his thyroid or Cushings disease. Tuesday the 21st we called about the blood results because we were leaving town for the holidays, they said maybe it could be his Thyroid so they called in a prescription and we picked it up before we left town. Thursday the 23rd when we were away his stomach kept getting bigger so we took him to a vet we had never been to before, and since we were out of town. We had landisville send that vet our dogs record and blood results. This vet listened to his heart, found a high rate, pricked his stomach to collect a sample of the fluid, and reviewed his blood work. Within 30 min. he was able to rule out Thyroid issues, cushings, and Addison’s disease and told us it was heart failure and kidney failure. How Landisville never caught this is besides me. It’s not a coincidence that his quality of life severely went down after the second knee surgery. I don’t think his heart handled going under a second time. Our dog was only 4 years old. We had him only for 2.5 years and had been to Landisville over a dozen times about allergies and his knee issues and spent over $10k at Landisville. They did reimburse us for the blood work (~$350) payment after we told them we had to put our dog down. I eventually learned that you had to ask about cheaper alternatives because they don’t always offer that information. We will not be using Landisville for future pets.
