Best pet store I've ever been to. Highly recommend. Everything for your pets you could possibly imagine. Prices are pretty fair. Weekday is the best time to go with the least number of people.

A huge store, with dogs, cats, reptiles, fish and other species-dedicated sections. They don’t carry high end animal related products but have a good selection and the store is spacious and organized. There is actually a cat rescue working from inside the store, allowing you to meet the cats and fall instantly in ❤️

Drove an hour to go to this place and it’s always worth it. It’s truly the only pet place with such a great experience. There’s always so many cool fish and they have a small animal section thats worth checking out! The kids absolutely loved this place. And you can’t forget being able to touch a sting ray even! I absolutely recommend this place!

That Fish Place is such a fun experience. I took my 2 year old niece for the first time and she loved to walk around and look at the animals. There are ferrets, bunnies, hamsters, Guinea pigs, frogs, snakes, iguanas, turtles and of course - fish. So many fish! The staff are very knowledgeable and informative . If you want to avoid crowds, don’t go on weekends!

One of the best pet stores I’ve ever been in, and so thankful it is rather local to me. Not only do they have organizations in for fundraising events (like meet and greets with animals) they also hold holiday events which are AMAZING. I literally take off work if possible to attend. Every worker is knowledgable and if they personally don’t know, they will walk you to a worker who specializes in what you need! I’ve never been lead astray here as I have in chain pet stores. They offer and exceptional range of pet food brands. The highlight for me though is the “fish room”. It is extensive with types of fish for beginners to expert. Also a wide selection of fresh water plants as well as saltwater fish and corals.I will absolutely be back. For events, for holidays, and just for maintenance items for the pets I have that love the products they carry!

I’ve gotten lots of fish and animals from here and each time they’ve been healthy and very active. I really love that fish place! I have multiple aquariums in my house so I’ve even gone there to ask questions to see if I need to treat something or just ask questions about the fish they have. It is definitely a great place to take kids as well they even have a spot you can pet rays!! I would definitely recommend going here!

This is my favorite pet store to visit. It's super close and has always been my favorite growing up. The prices are a little high, but if you use the pet rewards, it definitely makes it a lot cheaper. From what I can tell, they take super good care of their animals. The workers are also super willing to educate you if you don't know something and are always super nice and helpful!

I have been going here for 35yrs. It was a great place to go and I could spend hours there. Now it is quite disappointing and find no reason to spend more than 30min there. The exotics are mostly gone as well as the great show tanks they once had. I took a newbie there last time I went, she wasn't very impressed. I unfortunately share her sentiment.

I really love this store. So much that I posted in fish forums about it.It was clean, well designed, and well organized.The fish room was beautiful!I only have two areas of concern:1. The bathroom. Out of order stall and no toilet paper in the other two- also could have been cleaner.2. The Oto tank had a pile of fish sticks in it (what I call dead fish). Like six of them. I went there wanting to buy them but they also had no guarantee.So I walked away and let a cashier know: and she was wonderful about it (seriously the customer service is great).Also: Ben- whoever you are, your aquas aping is top notch and the display tanks were not over crowded.Absolutely wonderful.I will return again and again! It’s an hour drive for me and there are box box stores near me and my one LFS about 40 min away but this is going to be a regular store in my life.Well done.

Was looking for small fish filters and no one had them. Thankfully you guys did and for only $5 for 4 filters. Way cheaper then online. Store very nice and clean and great customer service. Plus very kid friendly and lots to look at and do. My kid had a blast and asked to go back. Thank you very much.

I have been coming to That Fish Place for many years and consider it THE destination for all things pet oriented. On the aquatics side, their selection of aquarium equipment and livestock is second to none. They also have a very knowledgeable staff on both the floor and the fish room ready to help at a moments notice. On thing I definitely appreciate is that they are very active with their coupon mailers and weekly sales events. Keeping your customers in the loop with big sales and coupons gives people like me who live an hour away more incentive to make the drive. That Pet Place is also very active on social media, constantly hosting free events such as pet specific expo days and swap meets. Last year I attended their That Cat Day! which was a mini cat expo inside the store. They had several cat specific brands in attendance handing out free samples and swag for the kitties. Overall, That Pet Place/That Fish Place is an amazing store that all pet lovers need to check out if they are ever passing through the Lancaster area!

I was amazed at the availability of products as well as the reasonable prices. The Touch Tank was an awesome feature! I also love how rescue friendly the store is to accommodate cats and dogs looking for their forever home!! Morgan had a great time sniffing around the store.

Love it here, always have a great experience visiting that pet place, I find everything I need for my pet turtle, food, rocks, filters, live plants and everything else my turtle needs, my daughter loves to pet the stingrays and look at all the other animals, loves the glow in the dark fishes.

5 stars for the grooming! The best part of That Fish Place is the Grooming -That Groom Room. Kayla is absolutely fantastic! My little guy is so excited to see her and she does a wonderful job grooming him! We won't go anywhere else- please don't ever let her leave!!As far as the rest of the pet side of the business at That Fish Place- very big selection and really a one stop shop, but prices are higher.

Honestly not sure how this place has such great reviews. I visited for the first time last weekend & was interested in purchasing a rat to add to my chaos group. It stated on the tank they were “not available for adoption at this time.” So I asked the employee at the small animal desk when they would be available to adopt. She then replied “it’s on the tank.” I politely stated the date was not written on the tank. She then huffed & irritatedly walked over to the take to “show me the date.”Which was in fact not on there, as I stated.She then comes back & goes “well I don’t know when they’re going to be available.”I then proceeded to ask if I could place a deposit on the rats I was interest in, to which she only replied “no.” And walked off.Just all around poor customer service. You could tell she really loved her job 😅Also rats should NEVER be kept in glass tanks. Even for a short period of time.. They don't have enough ventilation & can cause breathing difficulties or lung infections in rats. They had at least 8 little girls in the same small tank that was barely big enough for 2 rats. 😢

Very clean, staff is great with questions, they have great events, I have gotta plenty of stuff from them and it is always worth the drive. The salt water tanks always have at least one unique fish such as a eel or octopus. The stingray petting area makes this place special as well and was how we discovered the place

Very kind and helpful!! We came in with our new puppy and were greated instantly and he was measured for his new collar and harness in no time we had everything picked our that he needed. Even got a toy!

Very large selection to choose from between brands and items. I'm about 100% sure you will find what you're looking for in this business. I've come here in the past and I can honestly say, I feel things have improved and gotten better with time. They have a large selection of aquatic fish from freshwater and saltwater. They sell top of the line tanks. They serve all domestic home pets. Staff is friendly and helpful when called on for assistance.They also have a large parking lot yet the day I went, it was difficult to find a spot.

Purchased 180 gallon fish tank and stand on Sunday, March 10, 2024. The staff was very helpful considerate and waited for us to get back to pick up the tank. It was after 6 PM when we got there and they were ready to load her up. Thank you for everyone who helped, so very happy that I stopped in to your store, you had what I wanted, and I am very happy with my purchase.

Inconsistent hours. If I go to a fish store that opens at 9:00 a.m. I expect to be able to buy fish at 9:00 a.m. but for some reason sometimes they keep the fish room closed until 10:00 a.m. well they said it's for cleaning and maintenance. Which of course should be done before they open if it's going to keep them from opening on time. And there's Sunday hours are different from the regular hours during the week. And most of the people there in the fish room are there because they love fish, not because they like working with customers. And it shows. They'll just leave you standing there. They talk to each other about their lunch while you're standing there. But the worst thing is, they're not open when they say they're going to be open. You can't buy fish when you go into buy fish.

This was the biggest pet store I have ever been in. There was plenty to see. They had a variety of animals too. It was nice to see the sting ray area too. When we were there they were having a reptile petting area. Get to know about then and the care for them. Very nice place. Parking lot was full!!

Very disappointed. The sales clerk never told me that pet rewards didn’t go through and I didn’t discover it until I got home many miles away. She didn’t say one word about it! I think I may return everything and support my smaller local pet store. I feel like they would care more.
