I wanted to add, Dr shah is such a caring vet. He talks gentle to our cat Cleo as if she was one of us. She took to him quick, and he takes us seriously when we have concerns. I would highly recommend him.We lost our precious cleo, and now we have onyx. They had been so kind to us during the event, and I could not help but thank him for how well he had taken care of cleo, even at that moment of lossOnyx was brought in because of irritations. He listened to our concerns and took us seriously, once again and wants to keep close eye on him.He truly does love the animals that are under his care. And we will continue going to him for any of our pets.

I love Dr. Shah and his staff. I have been a client of his since 1993? I brought my bird there when I had her,and then I ended up with my kitties. Dr. Shah is so nice, and he cares for the animals. He's not money hungry like most vets. He understands the needs of his clients. Dr. Shah, I will always bring my babies to you. You are sincere. ⭐️ I recommend this vet clinic and I’ll recommend it to others as well. ⭐️I had my cat Jacob put to sleep 6 days ago I loved him so much. When I took him there they can tell that he was not doing very well so putting him to sleep was a option, which I wanted (another vet clinic told me it was not a option even when he was peeing blood they would not put him to sleep). The staff was very lovely during this hard time and doc was good and professional, you can tell he loves animals. They gave my baby a good send off I am very grateful for that. Thank you for the condolence card as well ❤️

Feels out-of-touch and outdated when it comes to pet health. Had to go to another vet’s to get a second check-up. The vet did the minimum with the young stray cat I found. I had to ask them to test for FIV/FeLV and to vaccinate him. He didn’t mention anything about his teeth, heart, etc, or anything about the cat’s general health. Wouldn’t return nor recommend taking your pets here. An appointment should be informative to the pet owner and should also make sure the animal’s health is the priority.

BOTTOM LINE: YOUR PETS SHOULD COME HERE!Here's my story that I'd like to share .. My older cat, Oliver, has been suffering from two issues that I have tried to have taken care of by three veterinary hospitals, but to no avail. Each veterinary hospital seemed reputable and I cannot say anything negative about their services or staff. I can only say that my cat was not successfully treated and that no one gave me assurance that they understood his condition. I believe they simply did not have the years of experience under their belts treating animals and, so, they guessed as to how to help him best. It really does matter having a seasoned veterinarian doctor treating your pet.Issue #1: Oliver had a very small bump that I had been concerned about because it came out of nowhere. When I took him to be seen, I was told that it had to be surgically removed. I wasn't told what it was. I was given a cost of the services to have it removed under anesthesia and it was a little over $1,000. Given his acute respiratory condition, I did not want him to undergo anesthesia, so I never had it removed. I tried self-treating at home with antibacterial medicine and natural remedies. Unfortunately, it continued to grow. I took him to see Dr. Shah primarily for the respiratory issue, however, I showed Dr. Shah the enlarged bump and he told me, without hesitation, that it was a wart, not contagious, and could have been removed in the office (or with medicine) had Oliver been seen when it was smaller. Had I been told this information from the beginning, Oliver would have had it removed and treated immediately. Now, however, it is too large to treat with medicine or removed in the office without anesthesia. But, even Dr. Shah did not feel comfortable putting Oliver under anesthesia because of his acute respiratory issue. And, so if Oliver does not get better, he will continue to have the wart, which is more of a nuisance than anything else. If Oliver gets better, Dr. Shah said he would feel comfortable removing it under anesthesia. But, this was not the priority. I appreciated his honesty and concern for his condition.Issue #2: This was the primary issue Oliver was seen for. After three veterinary hospital visits with different types of care with medicine, Oliver was not getting better. In fact, he had lost weight, was not eating well, and had a noticeable stridor when he breathed.Backstory: My daughter takes her animals to see Dr. Shah and suggested that I take Oliver. She assured me that he could figure it out. In fact, her cat was essentially left for dead with an acute condition which her other vet could not diagnose. She took her cat to Dr. Shah and he knew what was happening right away. He saved her cat's life.So, I made the appointment and took Oliver just yesterday. Dr. Shah told me exactly what was happening with Oliver. He said he should have been given medicine early on in order to completely rid the respiratory virus. However, because it was not treated appropriately, Oliver now has chronic respiratory issues. Dr. Shah gave him a strong antibiotic in the office and sent me home with another strong antibiotic. He told me that his goal was to improve Oliver's condition by 50%. If he can do that, Oliver will feel much better than what he feels now. I am very satisfied with that answer and the treatment plan. I could trust what Dr. Shah was telling me from the onset. He didn't bat an eye. He knew exactly what he was dealing with.Today's Update: I can tell you that Oliver's eating has improved today and he seems more alert and engaged than he has in a long time. Just that little bit of improvement is telling me that this treatment is helping.While I don't the effects long-term yet, I can tell you that I have hope that Oliver will improve. Dr. Shah is clearly experienced, wise, and loves what he does. I will continue to bring Oliver to be treated by Dr. Shah.And, thank you to his team .. he has great staff. They were extremely attentive and caring and friendly.

Wish I knew about this Vet and staff sooner. I was impressed and would recommend to anyone. The prices are great. I am very picky on who cares for my dogs and I felt completely at ease. If you are looking for a Vet that cares for the animal more then the almighty dollar and won’t over charge you and run unnecessary tests this is your vet. My dog stopped itching, chewing, and eyes watering. His hot spots are beginning to heal and we both got a full nights sleep. Thanks Dr Shah!

We weren't greeted or assisted for 10 minutes. A woman walked in after us as a walk in, with her puppy, (no appointment) and was helped before us. We just wanted to get into a room to spend the last few minutes we had left with our girl Bella, in private. I approached the desk and stood there and waited another minute or two, to be helped. The woman that helped me didn't seem to want to help me, because she was in awe of the puppy. She didn't seem to care until she saw what we were being seen for (Euthanasia), it was only then her whole demeanor changed. Everyone else was very nice and empathetic. My mom and uncle have been coming here for years. No problem. My uncle, not too long ago had a similar experience to mine. He said he wouldn't be back. I'm thinking likewise. Dr. Shahh was wonderful as was most of his staff, but one bad apple will ruin it for the bunch.

I've been going here for several years. They always provide excellent care and don't overcharge you or push unnecessary things. Very friendly & helpful staff. This was originally referred to me by Lancaster pet hospital for being a great place without the overcharge.

All the vetnarian asst.'s were awesom as well as the primary Vetnarian. My dog was nervous as this was blues first visit and the staff was excellent making him feel more comfortable! It was an enjoyable visit!! Highly recommend! (Blue is the big baby on the right)

My 5yr. Old cat was experiencing urinary issues. A friend recommended RedRose Vet. I phoned Tuesday had appointment for Thursday. The office staff we're helpful and pleasant. The attending nurse was sweet and gentle with my baby. Dr. Shah came in examined her determined a UTI. Very pleasant and reasonable experience. Would recommend to friends.

I don’t usually bring my cat here but I really need to get her spayed and they seemed to do a good job; she healed well, (even with being so naturally hyperactive) which is important. My strong preference, bringing her in for the very first time and for a surgery, is I wish I could have talked directly to a doctor at least beforehand.

(I am not using my real name). Dr. Shah had been caring for my dog over 13 years years ago. I'm glad someone told me he was back in practice. He is a great Doctor, honest and to the point. His staff is good and very accommodating. The clinic did the best to save my dog's life 2 weeks ago, with reasonable and practical medical treatments. Their prices are very competitive, reasonable and fair. Unfortunately, after 13.5 years I had to put her down. Losing a pet is hard to go through but they gave me the the time I needed with my dog. My very 1st time dealing with Red rose ?Was a major disappointment!!!A one star is being too generous!!I took our 7 month old cat to be neutered ,Rabbies vaccine and distemper, Before hand they told me my bill would come to one hundred and sixty six dollars !Then they called me saying come get your cat he's. Done ,Telling me my bill came to two hundred and twenty dollars!They apparently went and did other stuff to our cat without calling me ?Or confirming moving forward or not with extra money to pay the bill!?Wich is totally unprofessional of them !Not to mention incompetent!!They also messed up our cats paper work !After I told them he is a male ,The marked N beside gender!I've also confirmed his age, Wich is 7 months ,They marked dwn 17 weeks !I recommend people not to waste your time with Red rose pet care in lancaster pa! They are Very incompetent and a over charging center!!!!!!!!!
