I recently adopted my first cat of my own. I searched around at local rescues and online, but Pet Pantry by far provided the greatest and easiest service. It was a quick application online and within 30 minutes I received a call from Steve, one of the managers. He gave me his contact info so we could coordinate a scheduled pick up time and he always got back to me right away. I never had to "wait around" for any response. That was GREATLY appreciated! They were gracious enough to hold my cat for 3 days until I could get there and adopt him! It was a reasonable price and I'm so happy they helped me pick out my new best friend. A HUGE thank you to Steve and the team for making it a great experience for this first-time pet parent! I will absolutely be back in the future when I decide it's time for my cat to get a friend! :)

Everyone here was so kind pleasant to work with. They made sure I had no more questions before walking out with my newly adopted kitten, Boo!The place was very clean, and one could tell all of the pets were well loved and taken care of by the staff.Steve was insanely helpful, and was flexible with the adoption process/application. Everything went so smoothly AND quickly in order to get this baby home. I can't thank everyone enough for such a great experience on my personal first adoption 💝

Fast at responding and provides great low cost spay and neuter services.My oldest cat had her spay at Pet Pantry, and youngest (grey) was adopted from Pet Pantry last year. The same day I put in an adoption application I was called back and hour later (after confirming with my vet) that I could pick up my new forever friend. They care so much about animals, and he had everything up to date and was very healthy.

This morning we finally rescued a sweet girl kitty who had been trapped all weekend long in a maintenance shed. After she was released we were not sure what to do next. She was very friendly under weight and just looking to be loved. I called and spoke to a worker at Pet Pantry and they said to bring her right in. It made my day to know she was going to get the care and treatment she needed. I hope she finds a forever home and is so loved ❤️. Thank you Pet Pantry for helping this poor sweet girl as soon as the need was there. 🙏

I adopted Clementine (previously Penny) a week ago and I am so glad I did. She is the sweetest cat! Everyone at Pet Pantry was so welcoming. I was a bit nervous as I am a first time cat owner but Steve and everyone answered all my questions. They made the entire process super easy. The facility was very clean and the cats were well taken care of. They really want all the animals to go to loving homes.

We had a wonderful experience with the Pet Pantry. After filling out an application, we were promptly contacted with our approval status. The Pet Pantry continued to follow up with us on available cats and cats that may be a good fit for us. My husband went to look at a kitten he ended up loving. I was home with our toddler and unable to come in right away. They allowed us to switch off so my husband could come home with our daughter and I could come meet the kitten. I ended up coming home with our new family member the same night with no issues. We already love Binx (previously Lurch) and can’t wait to get to know him!

I was very pleased with the service and the ease of adopting my new four-year-old kitty Claude. They are concerned that the eligible kitties go to a good home but the process was smooth and timely. Steve was very easy to work with and I would highly recommend supporting this organization!

We had a fantastic experience adopting kittens from the Pet Pantry!! Steve was friendly and knowledgeable and made us feel welcome as we waited to meet our new kittens. The entire staff was personable and that made adopting our new cats an even more memorable experience. They processed our application very quickly and were kind enough to hold our kittens since we traveled from out of town to meet them. Our new babies are getting acclimated and resting comfortable in their new home. Thank you do Steve and the Pet Pantry team for helping us find our new furever pets!

I had a great experience with Pet Pantry! Steve helped me choose the right cat for me and they sent me home with food and toys and were ready to offer anything else I needed for my pet. I had a wonderful experience with Pet Pantry of Lancaster county! They helped me find somewhere to get vaccines for the cat already had so that I could bring home the little guy that I wanted so bad! Everyone was super kind and helpful and they definitely care about the kitties. I absolutely love my new kitten!

We just adopted a Sly from Pet Pantry and everyone was so nice and supportive. Steve helped us fine the cat for family.Steve and the the girls sent us lots of videos and pictures, before we got there to see how he was doing. I highly recommend going there for a new furry family member.

So we usually have had good experiences with them but not any longer. They let us take a kitten home with medical issues that they were aware of and ended up being an issue. We were told to bring it in the next day and then were totally ignored about the rest of the steps of the process. Also we were told we could have 4 cats total so we adopted one. The cat ended up not being a good fit whatsoever. So we took it back reluctantly and then were met with a very different attitude. They seemed annoyed to give us a refund after having the cat for a very short time. They then suddenly changed their cat policy and we are no longer allowed to have 4 cats total. It very much seems like we were punished for returning the cat. They also never answer the phone, don’t respond to our messages. However they can very quickly tell us we no longer qualify.

Very pleased with them always keeping a waiting list and getting me in asap. I live in York and the one here is cheaper but IMPOSSIBLE. When I get dogs in I can not wait 3 months to get them done. I am not a boarding facility. They REFUSE to keep a no show list to fill the opening...Knocked on door one day in York because they won't answer phones. They just looked at me and disappeared. I will always pay the extra and drive 50 minutes to support the Pet Pantry. Thanks for all you do.

I took my cat to the vaccine clinic, and it was a horrible experience. Vet tech lacy is one of the rudest people I’ve encountered. She first had a problem that I wanted to go back with my cat (I explained he’s very friendly and won’t react differently with me in the room). She seemed annoyed about any question I had. We get back to the room to discover that there isn’t even a vet there, the girl administering the vaccines was also a tech. He is given his vaccines then shoved back into his carrier, with no comments after. We had no idea what to look out for reaction wise, as he is a rescue and we’ve never experienced him having vaccines since adopting him. We had to turn to google to see if his reaction was normal. I love what the rescue stands for but I am disappointed and will just pay the extra money to get it done at his vet next time.

Do not try to adopt a pet from here if you have more than 1 pet at home already. My wife and I put a application in for a kitten and were told that “they do not adopt out a 4th animal” not sure why this is the case as no other animal rescue has a problem when people have other pets at home. I could see if someone had a lot of animals at home and did not have a safe or stable environment for a pet. BUT when someone who has a special needs dog and takes their dog to many specialists and owns their own home I don’t see why that would be a problem.

I had Tilly, my dog spayed and microchiped at the Pet Pantry. They were friendly and took good care of her AND it cost less than half of what my vet would have charged. So thankful!

We had a wonderful experience adopting a kitten from the pet pantry! The staff responded very quickly to my application, gave me a thorough overview of the cats that were available, and made it easy to make an appointment to visit. They were very helpful in making sure that we found the right pet for our family and the adoption process was very smooth and easy. Best experience possible! When we picked out our cat and scheduled when to pick her up, they were extremely accommodating and stayed after hours to allow me to pick her up on my way home from work. Also appreciate the prices of the items in their small store, very affordable especially with the discount you get after adopting.

Highly recommend adopting from the Pet Pantry. Steve and Cynthia are caring and devoted volunteers who helped us with adopting our senior cat, Maddie. The entire staff at Pet Pantry cares about each animal and seeks the best forever home for them. Maddie has brought so much joy to our family from the moment we brought her home. She now can enjoy the rest of her life with the freedom to roam within our house, cuddle on our laps, eat whenever she wants and sleep knowing we will never abandon her.

I highly recommend Pet Pantry! The staff are a pleasure to work with! Everyone was kind, knowledgeable, and patient! We have now adopted 2 cats from this rescue!We were first time pet owners in 2022. Steve and the crew were patient with us and made sure to answer all of our questions. This year we came back to adopt a friend for our "Bella."I fell in love with a cat when we went to just browse for a cuddly lap cat. Steve was so thoughtful and put her on hold for us for three weeks! We had a week long vacation planned and it didn't make sense to get the cat the week before we left. This meant so much to us! I am sure "Betty" would agree it was worth the wait!Thank you Steve and crew! You are truly making a difference to pets and families! We will highly recommend this rescue to friends and family!
