Firefly Bookstore is and will always be my favorite bookstore.Ever since I was a little girl my Grandparents would always take us there every time we saw them to get a good book to read. It has evolved into a family tradition, from when the store first opened in 2012 to now—2023–its 11th year. Over the years it has just meant so much to me and I always have the best experience whenever I go there.The book selection in Firefly Bookstore has many genres, such as Young Adult, Children, Sci Fi, Horror, Suspense, Nonfiction, Romance, and so much more. They have something for everyone; I can tell you that. They also have a wide variety of board games and other similar things that non-readers will still enjoy.The environment created and the people there has a charming atmosphere. They have a wonderful reading area with comfortable chairs and beanbags near the kids area. The people there are also so welcoming and helpful. They will gladly help you find a book if need be.They also host many different events there. Author meets happen every once and a while in Firefly. I have only been to one, but it amazed the younger version of myself to meet a pretty successful author. There is another club that kids host there sometimes, known as the “Forbidden Books Club '' where Firefly provides books to kids that parents have had banned from public libraries and schools because they aren’t necessarily traditional. These topics mostly consist of one's about the LGBTQ+ community or climate change. It’s their way of spreading awareness and reading books, all at the same time.Overall Firefly Bookstore is definitely my favorite place to be, and I will never stop recommending it. Whomever goes there, I guarantee, you will not be disappointed!

Bookstore with many new and used books. I enjoyed looking through the board games both new and used.Such a good children's section too. The employees were very friendly and helpful. If you want a reusable bag instead of plastic there is a basket with take one or leave one cloth bags. So if you have extras bring them here for others to use.

Firefly Bookstore is one of the treasures of our community, and a great source for books and games with great staff who are willing to track down any book for you. Thank you so much for "showing our youth queer books" (LGBTQIA+ stories) and for your support of the Banned Book club. I agree with (not-so) 'Fuzzy Dragon', this is "just what we need" in our community, our country. Not close-minded bigots like them.

Absolutely wonderful used book store. Fantastic selection of all types of fiction and nonfiction and other bookish accessories such as DnD die, posters, calenders and bookmarks. Wonderful baby, children's and YA sections including a rack for LGBTQAI+ options. All this AND they have new releases and local authors! Have bought many gifts here.

Wow! So many great things about this bookstore! Great selections decent prices.. Wonderful sci-fi and fantasy section. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There is comfy seating and you can get coffee for a dollar or two donation. I asked & apparently the owner named the store after the Great truncated show Firefly. We love you Mal!

Visited on my vacation in October 2022. Staff was very friendly and helpful. So many different options and I was tempted to spend all day there. They even have an Antique section and my roommate managed to get a book that was from the first printing at the turn of the 20th century! They even offered to ship our books home to Florida for us so we didn't have to worry about fitting them in the luggage. Very modest price for that as well. Will definitely be back when we return!

Incredible selection, excellent service, very reasonable prices! I love this bookstore! They have lots of awesome events, including a band book club for teens and frequent author signings. They work with teachers and schools to get as many books as possible in kids’ hands without putting onerous financial burden on teachers.

Nice old school bookstore. They do have sitting areas. They have a very decent variety and selection of genres. I did see signs posted of different events they host in store on a regular basis. The employees were super helpful and polite. I'll definitely be stopping in again.

A cute bookshop. The manga section is smaller than the comics n definitely not modern. The paperbacks by the front are up to date, though. There's lots of nice art calenders and board games to choose from. I think its funny that there's a whole section for mushrooms cuz patrons kept buying them all lol. There's a few chairs to read in to pass the time waiting for a bus. There's even a spot in the window for loacl authors. Nice overall.

Firefly Book Store is my new favorite book store. They have just about any type of book you could ask for and they regularly take in donations. They also have games and calendars and many other similar items. Their prices are amazing and the lovely people who work there will absolutely brighten your day.

Firefly Bookstore is THE BEST! As a future educator, I am building up my classroom library. Firefly books has not only new books, but also used books! Lots of which you wouldn’t see at a used book sale or the local thrift store. They have great variety, an incredible staff, and affordable prices. If you are a teacher (or even if you aren’t), you need to go here!The staff and the owner went above and beyond for my colleague and I yesterday! They were able to help up find things, informed us about all that they do for teachers, and even gave us some copies of Two Degrees by Alan Gratz, who was visiting that day.They also ran a great event that not only highlighted Gratz and his books, but also their Teen Banned Book Club they have at Firefly! This bookclub is amazing!Overall, you MUST visit Firefly Bookstore. They go above and beyond in everything.
