Small campground ajasecnt to the Allegheny. You can reach the rubber by kayak or small ready but not without some real effort. Not sure why they have not dreged this river to the camp as they have so many others up and down the river. The camp is small but has a lot of charm. They could use a slightly better business sense and charge for reservations but if they want to lose money in spots when no one shows up, who am I to argue. The staff are great and very accommodating. The rope bridge is really cool. I actually love this little campground a lot.Nearby activities: Kayaking, tubing, swimming, fishing, ATV, hiking.Safety: Your safeFood & drinks: Camp strip is small but has stuff. Kennerdell is not far of you need something else

My family has a lot at this camp and it is super fun. They have electric and water at the sites as well as a shower room . They have a store with ice cream and snacks for the kids, as well as fishing bait. We went on memorial day and had a blast! They had a band and bingo for activities. Id definitely recommend you putting your camper here or even just bring some tents, they have tent sites that you can rent or campers you can rent! Definitely a friendly environment for you and your family!!! Pet friendly

The campground was very nice. It looks like it's well kept. Fyi, there is no cell serice, and payment is cash or check only. However, the weekend seems to get a little rowdy with hooting and hollering and loud music. ATV use through the camp is not that big of a deal. I was not happy with people walking through our site as if it was theirs. I was also not happy with all of the dogs that were allowed to run free. If there are rules, no one knows what they are and no one enforces them. The worst part was the smoldering pile of trash on the primitive side of the campground. We stayed for four nights and it smoldered the entire time and the smell permeated the entire campground. We could not leave the windows of our camper open or else that smell flooded our camper as well. We watched campers walk up and throw more stuff onto the pile. They apparently could not be bothered to go to the other side of the campground where the single dumpster is. We will not be coming back.

This was a great little get away spot for our family with 5 kids. We loved camping right on the creek where we had easy access with kayaks and canoe to the Allegheny River. The kids had a blast playing in the creek and fishing the river. Also fairly close to the bike trail where we spent an afternoon biking from tunnel to tunnel. Camp owner was friendly and laid back... It was super easy to get in. Campground was very quiet and peaceful while we were there (Mon.-Fri.) Nice sites with full hook up for camper. Also clean shower house.

The location is very beautiful. When we first arrived we were told the wrong space. After we had set up, in the rain, and took a walk to the creek we saw our name on a different site. We went to the office and after a few minutes the office staff figured out they had told us the wrong spot and asked us nicely to move to our assigned location. We did, but were very puzzled as to how our trailer was to reach the hook up due to the locations of the fire ring and the picnic table. We ended up putting our trailer sideways, which worked. The next day we realized that the firering had been moved to accommodate the parade of ATVs that went through our site to cross the creek to reach the trails. This went on from 9am until 11pm. Our friends were camping on the other side of the creek. Their next door neighbors played music until 2Am and 4Am two nights in a row. There were many families there and the kids seemed to enjoy the creek, although with limited adult supervision. The bathhouse does have toilets, but they are currently roped off with caution tape, at least in the women's restroom. If you want to ride ATVs or are into partying you will enjoy this campground.

We had a wonderful time and before we left we decided to come back for the 4th of July and requested the same site. Up close to the little creek off Allegany River. Great for a swim for kids and dogs alike. It is cash only no debit or credit. Cute little shop that has ice cream. They have all electric sites and some full hook Up. We had a tent but most had RVs. Every site had a fire ring and picnic table. Really quiet place even though almost every site taken. They have one shower house with 2 showers and 2 flushing toilets each. One side for men one for women. You can launch a canoe or kayak even a raft from most sites. You can also fish here. I highly recommend you check this place out.Playground: Cute little play area with a slide and jungle gymRestrooms: Hot showers and flushing toilets for those in tents.Dog-friendliness: Everyone here brings dogs. It's great!

We used to camp there all the time l (was always our favorite camp site because of the peacefulness) but haven’t been there for about 10 years now. Just went this weekend.Staff/owners are SUPER friendly. Bathhouse and port a johns were very clean. Little store is great, even has ice cream. It is ATV friendly and if you stay in tent sites P8-9 you may be annoyed by it and there is no cell service (just an FYI). It would have been a great experience EXCEPT....there is no one enforcing any kind of noise or rowdiness. There were over 20 ppl on about 4 tent sites they had rented. They partied hard, I mean obscene, until 2:30 am. Drunken walking through our tent site. Screaming along to BLARING music until 2:30 am. I can’t even describe the scope of this horrific night here. It was beyond a party. I have my 3 small kids, there was no sleeping. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but just couldn’t (partly because of exhaustion and partly because that crowd was clearly staying a couple more days). I realize this most likely isn’t a daily occurrence, but someone needs to police up the tent end of the campgrounds. It wasn’t fair to anyone down there what took place.

So me and my fiance went here for secluded primitive camping. They worked with us told us we had an area away from all the trailers which wasn't true we were about 30 yards away from the permanently stationed trailers. Like a trailer park. Yes your close yo the water great. If your into trailer trash surrounding you. That's not what upset us. A tree fell on our tent luckily we weren't in it yes a force of nature you can say except the tree was already dead and a ticking time bomb. Even that wasn't the issue. Tge biggest issue I had was I called for days no one called me back they offered me 20 dollars refund which i refused i list a 400 dollar maramot tent but livedfor tge camping spot. What if we would have died tge owners never once picked up the phone to ask are you ok. Just a sime call would have been great are you ok?

Decent campground. Facilities are between ok and good. Biggest issue was ran out of toilet paper and 1 shower got super hot. Other then that nice environment and if u love the sound of frogs it has a frog pond. Fyi this place has little to no reception for carriers of sprint, t-mobile, or Verizon.

Stayed a night in a tent for my daughter's birthday. Really nice place, it was nice that the kids 11, 7, and 3 could run around a little bit with the playground right by where we camped. The water was fun for kids to play on their rafts in. Alot more relaxed than other campgrounds.

We experienced a very unusual situation in the evening at the campground, but Marlowes is wonderful and are trying to find out who was to blame for this. We got a very nice apology and they made up for it to us. This is a nice small campground with the family atmosphere and concerns

Beautiful camp ground with nice people that run it. Bathrooms well kept, tasty icecream, and little store is nice. We have been tent camping here one weekend every summer for 4 years now.

I have been camping at Marlowes for about 7 years now. I have nothing but good things to say about the campsite. Located on the shore of the Allegheny River, the site offers direct access to and from the river. Canoeing, fishing and swimming are natural activities from the camp site. The owners and operators, Ken and Margo, are great hosts. They are attentive to your needs, and keep the place running smooth. There is a genuine family atmosphere between the hosts, permanent site owners, and the weekend warriors who all share the camp site. Every 4th of July, Ken puts on a heck of a fireworks display. Being licensed to do so, his show gets bigger and better each year. If you are looking for a new place to camp, I strongly encourage you check this place out.Rob

Beautiful spot for camping. It's awesome to have the river right there and the creek is sweet too. Great swimming, fishing, and canoeing!!

Claims of easy access to Allegheny Rail Trail are invalid. Both North and South Tunnel Road are private roads; cyclists are not welcome. Both roads have difficult gravel, and South Tunnel Road has a tretcherous gully to cross. Additionally, Mondays and Tuesdays the office is closed, so even if you make it there, there is no way to actually aquire a campsite. It's probably a fine campground otherwise, but if you're cycling the Allegheny, avoid.

A little run down but it's comfortable and spacious for tenting. The toilets are portables but fairly clean. Lots of drunk ATV's cruising up and down the roads.

Very, very scenic, the name definitely fits. If you are into scenic views, drunks on ATVs, and a very unhappy staff. This campground is for you!
