Home Depot should be ashamed of themselves! In April my mom purchased 2 cans of red paint from the Home Depot Johnstown location. To keep it brief, one of the paint can lids was not sealed properly in store, the paint can tipped spilling on the inside and outside of her car. She immediately called the store and followed their directive to drive the approximate hour it takes for her to back to the store where the damage was surveyed and store representatives admitted it was their oversite in not making sure the cans were sealed properly. They gave her a new can of paint and the number to their insurance company. Cut to a few weeks later when Home Depot DENIED her claim that they are responsible for the nearly $4,000 in damage to her vehicle (an estimate was provided by a local, reputable repair shop). Home Depot has indicated that it was my mom's fault for not effectively securing the paint cans when she left the store. Under this logic, Home Depot is taking ZERO responsibility in making sure their job was done correctly. This was failure on their part to ensure they have met a more than reasonable customer expectation. A person should not have to think twice about whether their paint cans are sealed when purchasing them from a business that specializes in and advertises quality, even superior products and services. Shameful

I LUV HOME DEPOT THE OLDER GENTLEMAN WAS SUCH A PLEASANT MAN AND HE HELPED US WITHIN A FEW MINUTES OF BEING THERE AND TOOK HIS TIME TO UNDERSTAND OUR NEEDS. HE KNEW EXACTLY WHAT WE NEEDED! HE NEEDS A RAISE I NEED TO FIND HIS NAME! SUCH A SWEET GENTLEMAN!!

Beware that home depot contracts out to other different companies to deliver. My dryer was delivered and then the men in the truck left hit my cable line done and ripped the siding down my house. Home Depot has no idea who did this . Had to make several calls very inconvenient never purchase anything here again

I'm from NJ and have to order material from this PA homedepot for my new home in Johnstown. What a problem!!! First the they left my supplies at the wrong place and i never got my 5gallon paint...it was left at some random other home...Very disappointed...do better home depot

My mother went to purchase a washer and stove on January 22nd our salesman was very sweet and very helpful. He got us all set up for delivery the 26th. We paid for delivery, installation and hauling away of the old appliances. He assured us the 3rd party delivery company "was not a fly by night" type people. The 26th rolls around, got the message delivery will be between 1030am and 230pm. At 2pm got the message there is a delay. No biggie, it happens. When they finally arrive, both men have no idea what they're there to deliver. They had to be told. Then they proceeded to say that they were not supplied with any straps to unload said appliances and we're not told that they had to do any of this including installation. That they are not from the gas company quote " so they will not be hooking anything up. My mother proceeds to tell them she paid for delivery installation and Hauling away. They start getting attitudes with her and she said well I'm just going to call Home Depot and call the police if I need to for my safety because they were making her nervous with how they were acting.As soon as she said all of that the one guy flew out the door and the other one begged her not to call the police as if he was going to be found if the police came. They both left and after she calmed down she called Home Depot to get the situation resolved. The important thing to take from this review is they were supposed to do a job and they were not planning on doing any of it even though it was paid for to do so. My mom later called Home Depot told them the situation and they are rescheduling her delivery they can't guarantee who will be delivering it which is not cool on their part she's asking to not encounter these two same men again and so far there has not been any sort of compensation or apology for the behavior of this third party company that they rely on. Why can't they being a big Corporation make sure that customers items get delivered to them from Home Depot itself and employees Home Depot hired? No call from any manager apologizing for the inconvenience heck I don't even know who the store manager of the Johnstown Home Depot is I can't even seem to find any information on it but either way Home Depot you need to do better and just because you're a big Corporation doesn't mean that you can act the way you do and think that people are still going to give you business. Eventually that will come back and bite you and you will go under. They are trying again with delivery this coming Wednesday so we will see how this goes and whether or not she just returns all the merchandise.

Took 20 minutes to get someone to assist me in the tool dept. Then went to get lumber it only took 10 minutes and the gentleman showed mebthe bin the lumber I wanted was in. Never saw him again. I found the rest of what I needed on my own. Pushing a cart with over 800 dollars worth of material and tools to the checkout the cashier had the attitude that she was doing me a favor to do her job. There is a reason why I shop Lowes. I expect Home Depot won't ever understand why though.

Typical, just run in and get what I want. Still better than Lowes where an employee has to be found to get something from the top shelf then told me it was the wrong thing. Item number written on the box said differently.

I love Home Depot. This store is a little small and doesn't carry everything. So I order most of my items online and get them shipped to me. Did not receive a couple items. Online Customer service was easy to work with and refunded me quickly.

This was well worth the trip from Cumberland MD. We ordered a cabinet online and came to pick it up. Very fast service. Friendly people. Awesome. The cabinet was cheaper her than in Cumberland.

Took my dad to Lowes and they didn't have what he needed and had to lookall over for an employee, so we went to home depot and they had everything he needed and the employees knew exactly where everything was. Kudos to Home Depot

Clean, friendly staff and great hours. Not a lot to say really. This is what we all have come to expect of these big chain stores. They have a huge variety of products at competitive prices. Staff is friendly and helpful at 6 am and that carries through the entire day and there is no shortage of staff.

Don't EVER get them to install a water heater! The one put into my daughter's home was faulty, didn't work from day one. When contacted regarding this Home Depot was downright nasty & installer was even worse! Advised my daughter to replace heating element herself which, besides not being possible, would have negated the warranty! So unprofessional & inexcusable! This is day 6 and she still has no hot water!

Which was one of the things I really appreciated... A very nice store all the way around... I will be shopping there hopefully for my future needs...

I just had Linda at the service desk help me with a damaged hot water tank I received from an online order. She is an absolute rock star at the customer service desk. It is simply because of people like Linda that will bring me back to Home Depot in Johnstown. Give that lady a raise!!

Severely disabled wanted curb pickup customer service didn't even knowWhat information the curb pickup sign contained. There is no phone number and required a Smart phone to check in I specifically asked the lady what I needed to have. I also notified her that I have difficulty walking. I was forced to walk into the store to pickup my merchandise and stand by while waiting. What is the customer service for?Apparently Home Depot don't want handicapped people that don't have a cell phone to use curbside service

Bad experience these past visits, customer service needs properly trained, assistant manager was really rude with a customer. As well as keeping floor stocked with pallets once others run out.... It's why Lowe's is more preferred to be honest.

The store has little nooks and crannies that many people aren't aware of. On the back right hand side you can finished cabinets, cracked tiles. While some of the items are not for major projects, they are for crafters! Some items are not always available for craft projects, it's worth the occasional drive and peek. The people are kind and helpful even with your online purchases. They also have stock that other stores lack. The store itself could be larger and I wish it were. That's the only reason for the 4 star.
