I love this grocery store! Always have good deals and sales. Plus you can't beat their price on lunch meat. Staff is always friendly and polite. I can always count on getting a good price on all meats. Their chicken wing prices can't be beat

The only thing I don't like is going through the checkout when the lady with OCD rearranges my groceries after I place them on the belt. I shop for 2 other people and can't keep track of the prices or what goes in what bag with her meddling in my affairs! I understand that it's hard to find good help but she needs to stop!! I especially don't like the thought of her DNA on my groceries twice. 🤮

It's not a terrible store, I'm just not a big fan. For years, there has been a sort of meat-like musty kind of odor. Its been like that for at least the 15+ years that i have visited.I absolutely watch for their sale flyer each week. When they have Coke or Pepsi 2 liter on sale, their pricing is almost always the best. That's when I stock up.Check it out for yourself and make your own decision.

Ideal market is an amazing place to fulfill all of your shopping needs. I love the family atmosphere at Ideal market and it makes me feel as tho I'm keeping the community strong by doing my shopping with them as opposed to supercenters like *almart, who tend to monopolize the shopping experience and take away from that friendly neighborhood relationship where you are known on a first name basis. There really is no comparison than that kind of connection with your local mom and pop store. Save our communities and remember the little guys that continue to keep prices low and make sacrifices to stay in competition with big box corps.

Bought a pizza that was marked down last week: thought because the box was bent … no it was dated July of 2023 !!! If we would’ve ate that my family would’ve gotten sick … never again shopping there !!!!

This store sucks big time. Never have the sale items listed. Half the prices are marked wrong on the shelves and then you gotta argue with cashiers just to get your money back or pay the price you thought you were gonna pay. Whole store smells like there is something rotting in it. Freezers are always half cold and most items are either half thawed or freezer burnt. Plus the meat department meat is half rancid most days. Only reason I stop here is because it’s close to my house but I gotta remind myself next time to just drive the extra couple minutes and go to market basket or giant Eagle. This store really needs to get it together

This is a nice little grocery store hat always has different sales and specials each week. The hot foods section is exceptional and the staff is very helpful and friendly . I have been shopping here for years and it has become a family tradition .

Prices are great! Meat is good quality. But the cashiers could definitely take a class in courtesy. There are a couple that are nice but wow! Quit your job if you hate it that much and don't take it out on me!

I always enjoy shopping at this grocery store. The employees are very friendly and I usually find the milk from Somerset that my household started drinking. It's a pleasure to support locally owned stores rather than the commercial conglomerates.

Certain things that I looked for that were on sale they did not have. The store really had a terrible stench. The hamburger looked like it was in the case for quite a while. It was gray.

I used to run in for quick items and liked the cashier's very much, but I too have found expired items and worse. Once, after following a terrible odor, I found a package of hamburger with a hole in the plastic and foul, rotted meat within. It was so bad that I was gagging. It wasn't a surprise; the temperature of the meat on the top was often warm to the touch and at times the frozen food was soft. I think there is an inconsistency in the temperatures in their very old refrigeration, or perhaps it is kept at a warmer temp to keep their energy costs down. It's an ongoing problem and possibly the reason for the strong odor near the back of the store. I wish I could be giving a positive review to a small hometown store, but I think its their responsibility to properly handle the food for everyone's safety. If this is what is happening out front, I can't even imagine what might be happening in the back. High standards for cleanliness and food safety is what everyone should expect. I had to revisit this store and found that there was one freezer unit that was replaced since my last visit so I added a star to my review. I hope to see continued improvements. I'm really rooting for their success and was glad to see the upgrades.

We have always shopped here because the meats are great value and great product. Always having great sales on everyday items. The only part of the store that needs a little help on is the deli. Sometimes you go there and they take forever to get your order or the workers are in really bad moods and take it out on customers.

The one brunette cashier should not be working around people. She was quite rude and rushed me. She chose to be a cashier but seems to lack the people skills to be a pleasant and attentive to Ideal's customers.

Just moved to the area though I would try them out...I will never go in there again nasty customer service..the girl on the register was throwing my cheese around..when I asked if she had a problem she wouldn't speak then she moved everything around on the belt by throwing them I asked again if she had a problem and again no answer...very rude customer service...

Have been shopping here for over 20 years but over the last few weeks I have been getting nothing but rude check out people. Got into a disagreement today over freaking grapes. All of the packages are open but you have to buy the whole package according to the checkout girl who reprimanded me in front of everybody at the checkout counter. There are plenty of places to shop for food and this is not one of them...... anymore

I don't think I'll be shopping here any time soon. I fell down inside the store. They had a cart for stacking the shelf's. Sticking out I was being careful it was in the meat department. A kind man help me up. He than told the worker in that department. She comes out & ask if I was ok. I said no I'm not ok my knee is hurt. Than she goes back in her department & never came back out. My husband came into the store I told him what happened. He goes to find someone about the cart. The man tells him it's not his department go to meat department. Well I told my husband they already knew & did nothing. I'm hurt & the workers did not care about their customers.

I've given this place countless chances to get with the program and I've been too nice to leave a review but it's been 10 years I've lived near this place and I'm over it.Mostly older judgemental staff is rude to younger people.Produce is habitually rotten. I can't remember a time when there went flies on the onions and tomatoes. I can remember when the avocados weren't either coo hard or so rotten that they mush like a soggy pastry.Fruits are pathetic. Rotten or picked too early. Horrible selection, less than acceptable quality.Red meats go bad with in a day if you're lucky, chicken is almost always rotten as soon as you open it.Dairy coolers are part date on many yogurts and cheeses, etc.Hot foods are embarrassing. I have notices and nephews under 13 that can make better dishes.Canned good selection is patheticEverything is overpriced.Other than Leo, staff is no knowledgeable about anything they sell.I refuse to go here anymore and I'm spreading the word to every one I know.Get it together or close your doors.

Kaitlyn was absolutely horrible. She moved and slammed my items on the belt when they were apparently not where she wanted it. She literally threw around items such as chips. She makes this business look bad. I will not be returning to this store anytime soon. I hope shes a temp. The store was packed and she took longer moving my items around instead of just doing her job.
