This establishment is a disgrace. First they act like Johnstown is North Philly. It’s not. It’s hustling your hood store that is disorganized, terrible mgmt would couldn’t be professional if their life depended on it. I’m referring this branch for investigation bc there is no way this is an actual brand. This place is lower than vibes than the bus station in Penn Station. Bums frequent places they would fit in. That’s why they come to this store

Our dollar general is the worst in pennsylvania.we drive. Out of our way to go to a new. Store in salix.the workers are nice and helpful.our store in windber is in a very old horrible building.it needs to be torn down.i almost fell due to the tiles coming up.parts of the. Store.part if the store have no lights.please try to find a new place. That you can build a new store.everywhere we go different other stores all have theirs better than we do.please do what you can thx

They have produce now. I'm assuming because ideal closed. Great, BUT, dollar general, please HIRE someone to tend just to the produce....stores crazy enough...tend to your product..

Treats employees like complete trash treats customers just as bad!! The staff needs a major attitude adjustment especially the managers! floors need scrubbed shelves need organized and there was boxes all over the floor, and behind the counters all the staff sitting around not helping absolutely no one or stocking much of anything except one poor girl they had a pregnant employee doing everything and dealing with boxes while they was all sitting around on there phones and smoking cigarettes outside the main doors this store needs a serious adjustment AND MUCH BETTER STAFF!!! IF NOT A WHOLE NEW STAFF CREW

The update to the inside of the store looks great , the addition of produce and more coolers with cold food is really nice it adds more choices to your dinner menu and makes shopping for a fast and convenient meal easier because you don't need to go to a big store like Walmart you can get what you're looking for at DG.

This a review of the DG downtown Johnstown. Workers are rude. They will stand in your way and not care. Ones with blue hair are the worse. If you say hi, they stare at you for a moment and walk away.

This is one of the worst dollar general I have been in. The staff talk about customers after they leave in front of other customers, are constantly leaving one person to ring. I have been in there while NO ONE was on the register because 1 was in her phone in the office(personal call that was on speaker) 1 was outside smoking and 1 was talking to a customer about personal business not working. There is constantly stuff just left on the floor(boxes being unpacked, merchandise), shelves that are hanging out or falling and tripping people. Staff doesn’t seem to care and the manager walks around like she’s high or something.

This store is always a mess. I asked the cashiers in the front if lawn and garden stuff was on clearance. They said they didn't know???? I found an employee in the back of the store and asked her. she told me she had forgotten to take down the sign and no it wasn't on clearance. There were signs for shoes and accessories on clearance. So I took a long time to pick out what I wanted to get only to find out it was back to full price. You would think when the girl took the other signs down she would have removed those as well. There's usually only one register open in the store. Yesterday they had two registers open but one was cash only. There is always a long line of people. Because my total was full price which was well over what I was willing to pay, and the line was getting longer and longer... I told them just void the entire order. I also told them to start removing their signs as soon as the sale is over. You think they would have already known that.

This is the closest store & id rather go elsewhere.Shelves are empty & stock is setting on carts rather than being put up.When asked I was told that they had their hours/staff cut.Can’t sell what’s not available 🤷🏼‍♂️.

This dollar store is as good as any, I suppose. Sometimes there is a line. Even so, the people are mostly nice, with some seeming a little impatient with customers at times. I am not sure why or how it seems to happen at this location more than others, but it seems there are almost always U-boats crammed full of merchandise in the aisles waiting to be put on the shelves. There'll normally be one diligent worker trying to get it done, and I must commend her, or him, because it seems a daunting task. This store in particular, even before it moved, has seemed to always have the same issue, and it seems to have brought the problem along to the new location. As a customer, it is frustrating to see this sort of thing. Not only does it block the aisles, but if you're looking for something that happens to be behind one of these carts, you must move them or have them moved, and with them very often being over-stacked with boxes, there's normally a danger of them tipping on children and/or others that are nearby. We definitely do not go to this store as much as we need to. Whenever it's possible, we go to a different Dollar General Store to avoid the confusion, danger, and frustration that is caused by these cars in the aisles.

Their staff is always working putting stock away, facing shelves and keeping the store clean. Once in a while the lines can be long but that is few and far between. The clientele are a bit shady Lock your vehicle.

I think I may have gotten ripped off the other day while loading a prepaid Visa. Regardless of whether I did or not, I went to the manager. She took my number, said it would be "investigated ", blah, blah, blah. Never heard from them again. Used to love that store but now I kind of avoid it unless absolutely necessary...

It's definitely a nice store, But when you go in to buy a bottle of Tums you expect to be in and out, not stand in line for 20 mins watching the employee have a 20 min conversation with the person checking out!! But overall it's one of the nicest DG in the Johnstown areas.

This place is ridiculous. You can't even walk around in there because the isles are littered with boxes and carts. It's small, crowded, the employees are either too slow, incompetent, rude, or stupid. Here's an example of "stupid": They asked me for ID today for cigarettes. I gave them my id. The clerk refused to accept it because it was an expired license. What he don't realize is that people don't get any younger when their license expires. If I was 18 when I got my license, there is no way that I could be less than 18 when it expires. I assume their checking for age. I don't know. Maybe they just want to make sure I can legally drive.

This is a newly developed store on the outskirts of Johnstown City that suffers from long wait times and loud atmosphere. Usually because of the patrons that shop here. Nice store but I've never been able to get in and out without any problems.

Lots to shop for but check out is horrendous. One clerk for a line around the shelves of customers to check out while other clerks stock. It's ridiculous. Could be a great store. Clerks are very nice though.

This is the "newest" Dollar General that has been built for the Johnstown area. Located in downtown Johnstown where many people (especially our elderly) come to do alot of their shopping for things. In my opinion, for this being a new store it is completely asinine how the store is set up from their checkout cash registers to the isles of food and literally turning around (in the same isle) to then seeing cleaning supplies on shelf behind you. Unhealthy and stupid to be honest. I do NOT like this store and I try not stop and shop here unless I really have no other option.

Is Dollar General only got a three-star for me just because of the size it's just such a small location with so many good he's packed inside but that doesn't discount for the fact that it's always clean the employees there are also very helpful very personable and they also have a great selection

This store is always doing stock at peak hours and makes it hard to get around with a cart. One day they had a whole aisle on the floor...in the middle of the day cold meds pain meds and a ladder in the middle. Three items on my list were in that aisle.

Store is okay in it's self but 90% of the time checkout line is Always wrapped around the aisles and takes 15 to 20 mins to get checked out, we only go to this location if we have to.

Dirty and poorly managed. Never wearing masks and do not abide by the law to maintain 6 ft distancing. I have been in other Dollar Generals and they have markers in place. Lines back up into the products.
