Couldn't find the product they had online, and also had a hard time finding an employee that would help instead of walking away. But the employee named Lisa came right up to me and asked if was finding everything okay. I explained to her that I couldn't find the product the website said they had and showed it to her. She looked it up for me and went personally to find it and bring it to me. She was amazing and I will definitely be back thanks to her kindness and over the top assistance. She was awesome.

A wide variety of household products. If you are looking to avoid the big commercial stores, stop in and have some fantastic customer service. Staff was super knowledgeable about the tools and parts I needed for my home repair. They did not try to over sell me to buy additional items, that I didn't need. Prices were reasonable.

If I could give them -0 stars I would went to them for a out door timer for a pool pump that there online site said they had on june 3 2023 didn't have it so the manager ordered it and Robb said it would be in on Thursday the 8th of June I called and it wasn't there I was told Robb would call me on Friday he never did so I called him he goes ya it's not here what you want me to do well I need it so he ordered it again for this Thursdayjune 15 again no call Friday I called him oh ya it's not here you want me to order it again I'm like no this is not a good way to run this store where are the q timers you ordered I don't know is all he said I'll never shop at this store again BAD BUSINESS BAS MANAGER

This neighborhood hardware store has the basic hardware supplies needed without having to travel out of your way. Prices are fair. I will say I was impressed with the customer service. As soon as I walked in the associates were very attentive and asked what I was looking for. Josh’s customer service was exceptional!!

I've not been to the store. My husband was. He loves the store. If he goes by him self it's like Christmas to him. LOL! We did need a lot of things. Painting a room and some broken things need fixed before winter. I recommend the store. If my husband gets all he needs at one store it's ok in my book!

I tried to get some lawn products today. One young man at the register was as helpful, I believe, as he could be but needed to ask another employee for assistance. She wasn't having it. If I didn't know the color of the package, she wasn't going to be any help. I did have the product number. She asked me if I saw it among the numerous bags of lawn care items. If I had seen it, I probably would have been paying for it. She may have been overwhelmed or frustrated, but helpful? Nope. As a side bar, many of the younger workers here seem to go above and beyond when they can. That is much appreciated.

I dropped off four chainsaw chains to be sharpened. I called after two weeks to inquire if they were done. The female assistant manager simply said we are very busy they are not done. I understood. I called back after a month as well as a month and a half and then two months. To add insult to injury she simply said don't you understand we're very busy? I do understand and I will never go there again. I was a very good customer up to that point and no effort was made to make things right. Very disappointed.

Nice that this isn't a big box store, but the trade off is a more limited inventory. I bought Teflon tape (plumbing thread sealer), shims, and self-adhesive felt pads to put under dining table.Since the big box stores are 6 miles away and this is about 1.5, I will shop here if I think they have what I need. The price difference (higher here) for smaller items is not enough to burn more gas and time to go the Lowes in or Home Depot.

Always a very pleasant experience when I go here. They have pretty much anything I could need or want from a hardware store, yet much better than those HUGE box stores where you get lost and have to look for the camping gear cause you might be there for a few days... I love CAceH because it's big enough to have stocked what I want, and I do quite a bit of odds and ends type repair and construction, yet I get the benefits of a smaller, more intimate store where the staff is wonderful (even offered my dog a treat while she was waiting in the car for me!) And I don't have to transverse all over to find what I need. I highly recommend giving it a shot and stop to see what they have on your next trip to get materials for whatever you are working on.

This Ace is less than a mile from my house so I go there for most small hardware needs. It's clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are often as low as Walmart for the exact same items.

I tried to get 2 screens repaired at this Ace Hardware store. I called ahead and was told they were really busy but could probably get to them in about 2 weeks. I thought this was odd, but I needed them fixed and always try to shop at my local store so I decided to go to the store. As soon as I walked in I was met by the manager. She looked at the screens and told me they were too damaged to be replaced and they just didn't have time. I expressed my frustration and asked to speak to a manager or someone who was more senior. I figured at the very least they should be able to help me to find the materials I needed to fix it myself since they ARE a hardware store. When I asked for a manager, she told me she was the manager and there was nobody else that I could talk to. Without anything else being said, she told me that she didn't have to help me and to "get out of the store." I asked for the name os the owner, which she reluctantly scribbled on a piece of paper before once again telling me to get out of the store and that I was not ever welcome back. As I was leaving she turned to her coworker and a group of customers who were standing nearby and loudly said, "wow, that guy is a really @$$hole." Needless to say I have never experienced anything like this in a retail store. If you have hardware needs do yourself a favor and drive a few extra miles to Lowes or Home Depot, it will probably be cheaper and you wont have to be verbally berated.

If I could rate zero stars I would. I had absolutely no one come and help me. The store was unbearably hot and I found myself having a hard time breathing as we are required to wear masks. The humidity was extremely high outside... Not a helpful hardware store;

This place was one of the single most high priced hardware store's I've ever had the pleasure to shop, friendly staff as well as helpful, but no wonder people go to Home Depot or shop online. Sorry don't mean to be a hater, but I truly dislike being totally overcharged, if they would like to be competitive they ought to at the very least do price matching.

Good selection if you're looking to do small projects/fixes around the house especially if you live close and don't want to make a trip to another out-of-the-way hardware store. For the first couple of years living in 15905 and visiting Ace, staff seemed eager to help and were always there to ask if you need help. Over the past 2 years or so, seems like that has dwindled as now it seems you need to hunt someone down or go up to the cashier. Not sure what changed... Prices are reasonable. However, don't go looking for any haggling as I asked to if they could knock off some $$ on what they were asking for wheelbarrows that they had outside and showed visible rust. Management said they'd knock off $1 and that was it.

You'll save money on gas not driving to Richland but they know it and their prices reflect it. If I'm buying more than 2 things I'll make the trip to Home Depot instead. Their prices are even higher than on their corporate website, it's a sham.

As all Ace Hardware stores are small and pricier than the big box, I expected the crew to know their stock like the back of their hands. Wrong. 2 of 3 visits, I left either not knowing if my items in question were even carried or on the shelves. One clerk wouldnt even get up from his paper work to help me find a basic item.2 Stars for cashiers who saved me money and were fast and proficient.

Its clean and the employees aren't rude just not very knowledgeable. I have a construction company and every time we stop here for a part the don't have it so we quit trying. Also the prices are outrageous. If they want to make real money bulk up on the items contractors need and offer a discount for us.

BEWARE - The lack of customer service and professionalism at this location is astounding. Despite the lack of adequate staffing (even on weekends), I was a faithful Ace customer- using their coupons, getting the occasional "reward" in the mail. But this all changed when I needed their glass cutting 'service', and was essentially called a liar by the young manager on duty. Word to the wise - if you call to get a quote, MAKE SURE to get the name of the employee, or else, when the glass actually comes in and you show up, you will be charged some higher price, because it came from a 'full sheet' - AND YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT??! I thought it was the job of the employee trained at the services desk to know that, especially given the size of glass I needed. So that young manager has to embarrass himself and me by not honoring the price I was quoted the week before - where I could've gotten it a week earlier, and for less, from the local Cambria Glass & Insulation. No attempt to even price match or anything was ever suggested, because I "couldn't even remember who I talked to", supposedly making up this ellaborate scheme to save $6.Good thing I'm moving out of town and will never have to grace the doors of this store again. Ace's slogan "Ace, the helpful place" is entirely bogus.

I've been shopping here for as long as I can remember... every time I go in, I'm always greeted and asked if I need help finding anything. Faces are friendly, selection and prices are great too. I would rather go here than the big box stores.

I purchased paint during their sale. BOGO. I spoke to sales associate in the am and returned later in the day to speak to same sales associate and bought my paint. The whole point of this purchase was to take advantage of the sale. The associate mixed my paint. So, I went to cashier and she rang up my purchase. My bill was $170.00. I pointed out the the buy one get one. She said that's the wrong paint. It does not qualify. I was furious. The clerk knew that was the only reason I was buying paint was to get the 2 free gsllons He could have said you need this paint to take advantage of this sale.Spoke to store manager. You should not have taken the paint home was his response. I said it was Labor Day, the store was closing. What was I supposed to do. I thought I could call the next day and resolve this. I was wrong. THEY LOST A CUSTOMER.

It is better than a drive in the other direction, but the staff is disfunctional, the prices are higher. Plus there was some manager there and she was as rude as I have ever seen. Not one person even asks if you need help even though you walk around for an hour and they all walk by you. Chaka no like. T-rex no likey.

Recently purchased a self propelled mower. I'll try to be brief. Erica at Ace Westmont didn't have it in stock but offered to see if Brian in Ebensburg did. He did but they don't deliver to my area. They coordinated delivery between Wstmt and Ebg as Brian had a meeting at Ace Wstmt a week later and brought the mower with him! It was delivered to me the same day and put in my garage at my request while I was at work! LOVE THESE PEOPLE!!! Lived here for 28 years and they just keep getting better!! I go there first for the service and lots of staff to help. They almost always have what I need.

Purchased a cobra toilet auger and it fell apart in 5 seconds of use. It probably was broke when I purchased this product. Returned to store within 10 minutes of purchase. I was told that any product that was used can not be returned. Thank god I was only out $17. I live 5 minutes from ace hardware and I will drive to Bentleys Hardware or to Richland for even a single bolt.
