Came here on the recommendation of a friend. 20 min drive for us. Wow I was not disappointed in the least. Excellent and I mean excellent wings. Nice size, meaty, juicy and cooked to perfection. Perfect sauce. I had the hottest, they got hot around 6 for me….Fresh delicious celery and blue cheese out of this world. Beers were great and served fast…..Our server/bartender Courtney was awesome, attentive and just awesome….so were the many others behind the bar helping….I will be back. I do Understand it is a family business but my only complaint would be please keep the minors from behind the bar, they just don’t belong there. Excellent food, service and atmosphere and highly recommend.

After driving 25 miles To get to the restaurant we were told that they were out of Ribs.. I don't know how you can be out of ribs at 6 o'clock in the evening.I guess they just didn't order enough. It was pretty disappointing. The other food was OK, but we really had our heart set.On getting the ribs, we will try it one more time. But this time we'll call ahead of time. I ended up taking some wings home. I asked for the most mild winds when I got home. They were so spicy. I couldn't even eat them. I washed all the seasoning off in the sink but it was so embedded in the wings. I still couldn't eat it now. On the upside, the wings were a nice size and they surely would have tasted better if I could have eaten them. Next time I will order them with no seasoning. I don't understand why if you order something with garlic and butter cost more. So the jury is still out. I suppose, if you like hot wings. This is the place to go. They were a pretty nice size. But again we really had our hearts. Set on having ribs, which is why we drove all the way up there from Wilkes, bare.Parking: Parking is a little cramped and you have to watch when you're pulling out. But we found no problem in finding a spot.

Your average corner bar vibes with an atmosphere to match. Wings are a decent size but wildly overpriced. Celery and bleu cheese are charged in pieces - yes really. $14 for 10 wings with a $2 up charge for bleu cheese & celery AND 59¢ up charge for any sauce with garlic. Insanity! My dining guest never got his garlic but was still charged for it. Waitress mixed our plates up (since neither had garlic) - I asked for mild and he asked for hot. Only after 5 wings did I notice the difference 😂Definitely not worth your money. There's better wing spots in the area.Kid-friendliness: Don't bring ya kids to a bar. C'mon now.

Ordered two orders of boneless bites and two fries for dinner and upon picking it up I was taken back to hear my total of $55 and change. I thought there had to be a mistake in the order and after the girl behind the counter read it all back to me it was unfortunately all correct. I understand price hikes are going on everywhere right now due to inflation, but as someone who gets bites from all over the area very frequently I can assure you no one quite hiked them like this place did. Heck, I have taken my wife out to fancy dinners for only a little bit more money. If you're going to drop $50+ on a dinner for two please don't let it be wings and fries from a bar, go somewhere nice.

Enjoyable. First time ever for dinner. Had to try the wings of course. No complaints at all. They were great and would recommend them. Several types of sauce. The pizza is good also. No issues with service and the environment was nice.

Was there tonight to visit a friend in from out if town for the holidays, service was terrible. 15+ minutes before I was able to order a beers at the bar, and only one of the beers came. Had to remind the bartender about the other beer and waited another 5 minutes! 1st time there in a couple years and definitely thr last! If you're not a regular don't waste your time!

Always loved this place, but today when I ordered extra crispy wings I received an order that was barely cooked. After focusing on the flats since they were slightly more done I finally told the waitress I wasn't satisfied, and reminded her I requested crispy. Even though I told her I suffered through a few peeling off rubbery skin and pulling off some meat, and everyone that my table agreeing with me that they weren't done, she soon returned with only five wings out of 10 and told me they gave her a hard time in the back. I told her it wasn't her fault but that I was going to write this review on Google. This would have never happened under the original owners. Go to Mark's in Simpson for the best wings at the best price because Windor charges 15 bucks and doesn't care about customer satisfaction anymore.

Wings. Very good wings. Old school style bar that actually serves good food. Decent draft selection and plenty of seating. The wings are the star of the show. Good size, cooked well and the sauces offered are tasty.

I enjoy stopping here when I'm in the area and most recently on Saturday night. The bar was modestly busy, so we sat at a high top table. We ordered wings & perogies, of which I would recommend to anyone. The place was steady with live music. The bartender/waitress seemed to be a bit distracted as our drinks sat empty waiting for a refill. The food was amazing as always. The bathrooms were clean. There is a small room for PAs famous "games of chance" aka slot machines. Overall great place, would have been better if staff paid more attention to all her patrons, but regardless we will be backParking: 30-45

We visited 8-12-18 and the food was ok. The cod fish and chips came out hot from the fryer, fries seemed to be a little old tasting. The supreme nacho was kind of bland and had gotten soggy with the chili that was more of a sauce with a few beans in it. It was nice to see the generous globs of sour cream. The kids hotdog and mac&cheese was about normal but, I had to check the hotdog to make sure it had been cooked before I let my daughter eat it. The waitress we had I'm guessin may have been new, so I would give her the benefit of the doubt for not keeping drinks full and not really having answers to questions about the restaurant food or suggestions to what may be a good choice on the menu. We may give them another try in the future to to broaden our review.

Very good. I haven't been there in quite a while. The wings are better than they used to be. There were good sized and meaty. The extra hot sauce was just that, next time I'll stick to the regular hot sauce. The server was nice, but she was very busy since she had to tend bar and wait tables. I'd go back again.

The wings are the tiniest you will ever see. Full of that black dark red meat. The sauce is still good. See the pics. I put a quarter on the plate to show the size of the wings.

Great news there open. When entering have mask on, once seated you can remove it. I stopped to get there wings... still number 1 with me, had the best whiskey sour while waiting. As you can see by the empty glass 😷😁😂. I will definitely be back. The wait staff is so nice and friendly. Clean bar/restaurant.Friendly place to go have a drink, play some pool, and karaoke night. They have the best wings. I can't wait for them to reopen when allowed too.

First time visiting the Windsor Inn tonight. It will be the last. It was “wings night”, (wings are good but not great). However it took nearly 2 hours to get served. When we expressed concern over the long wait we got attitude from our waitress. Then when the food came there were mistakes. Got serious attitude from both the waitress and the kitchen staff when complained about the mistake and asked it to be fixed quickly. Lots of nice places in this area to eat with good food, good service and polite staff. Don’t need to put up with this.

The food is nothing like it used to be. Got a pizza, boneless wings and fried pierogies. The pierogies were half dough and tasted like nothing, the pizza was supposed to be Sriracha ranch and it was mild instead with the chicken half burnt and only on half the pizza. The pizza was also not seasoned at all, you'd think they hadn't heard of salt. The boneless wings were just chicken fingers cut up into pieces with wing sauce on them. The only redeeming quality of the meal was the sauce on the boneless wings. It was some sort of Asian or Thai sauce and it was amazing. Best sauce I'd ever tasted. Other than that, avoid this place. When I was young this used to be the best place to go but now it's just garbage food that isn't worth the money they charge. Service was great though. Waitress did her best to help us, even though our pizza took an hour when it definitely shouldn't have...

Trying out all the local places to see how the food is, and absolutely underwhelmed with this one, An order of what they claim to be the world's second best wings, deep fried pierogies, and a reuben sandwich with baked mac and cheese.Ordered the wings with the 'hottest' sauce, which was barely jalapeno level of spice. Pretty average in every aspect, not great, not bad. Absolutely nowhere near the level they claim. Pierogies were pretty alright, but again, nothing spectacular. The reuben sandwich I ordered was an absolute joke, super tough meat. Baked mac and cheese that was clearly not baked at all, and tasted like basic store bought brands, though at the very least it was clearly not a store bought brand, just a lazily made one. That again, was not baked at all.I don't get how restaurants can just straight up lie about their food, and how people can just accept it. 'World's Second Best Wings' is pathetic, it's the most standard if not subpar wing experience. Then the 'baked mac and cheese' is right behind it, being so clearly not at all what they say on the menu.

Wow! Way over priced! Wings were OK at best, not like the Windsor I remember. One order of wings and a small nachos $31!!!! Not worth It!! There are much better and cheaper options in the area. Last time for me.

Used to eat there often. They now have guys with hair hanging in front of their faces and flipping it and not wearing hats. They are serving food, washing glasses and cooking in the kitchen. We still drink there but refuse to eat there!Parking: Always somewhere to park

Our first visit to this establishment was definitely a 5 star experience. The food was great and the service was very efficient and friendly. However, on Monday, Nov 6, we stopped by a bite to eat. First off the waitress had a real attitude, acted like we were bothering her, after 5 minutes there we were the only customers seated in the restaurant, everyone else was at the bar. We ordered wings and our meals. Took a little long to receive the appetizer and then she asked if we were going to share them and when she had to get us plates, seemed put out. when we asked for knives with our meals, she said, "I'll see if we have any". After dropping off our meals, she disappeared, our beverages (coffee and water) were never refilled. The fried chicken sandwich was over cooked and tough and stringy, no one to complain to, as she was no where in sight for the whole meal, the cook actually brought us water refills. we had to hunt to her down for our check and needless to say, she received no tip. we were in a good moods upon entering Windsor Inn, but not so on leaving. When we go back again, as their food is usually very good, we will avoid this particular waitress, unless she is the only one there, then we will leave. Too bad one employee can give such a bad reputation to the whole establishment.

The Windsor Inn....definitely a nice friendly neighborhood hangout. Staff was very helpful and nice. But I have to admit, considering that chicken wings is supposed to be what they are known for.... To be honest I was not impressed. I absolutely LOVE wings!!! Had them from many different places in PA and other states. And of all those places, I can't really say their wings were that good. And it kills me to say that because it was a nice place with nice people. Honestly I didn't enjoy them at all. I ate them because I'm on a limited income and had been wanting to try them for a long time. Total letdown. But I will say that the place was very busy so that leaves me to believe that a lot of their food has to be good. Maybe the cook was just really busy or just having a bad night. I'm really sorry guys. It felt bad to write this review but I'm an honest person and I have to say what I experienced.

Overpriced, overrated, and not good. The plain hot wing sauce is pretty much just tomato sauce with chili pepper, and the price is too high. I ordered barbecue boneless wings, and 20 ct hot wings with celery and blue cheese, and here's the pricing: $20.59 for 20 ct wings, $9.59 for 8 ct boneless barbecue wings (boneless wings are cuts of chicken breast dipped in sauce), $0.69 for celery, and $1.69 for blue cheese. It's not absurd pricing, but it's low fair. The people were very nice.

Hot wings are always good, the warsaw casserole is great on the right day I guess. After ordering the casserole many times, this last trip left me upset because usually the pierogies come slathered in sauce and blue cheese and our pierogies were barely covered in either, making the pierogies dry and of questionable quality. I finally got something other than those two on this visit for a main course, and was disappointed. The bbq burger was ok, although way too much bbq sauce to actually attempt to keep my hands clean, at times it felt like all I was tasting was bbq sauce. The "nachos" were completely not expected and I'm upset we even ordered them. Our nachos were forgotten about until last minute when our food came out and I was not expecting just a bowl of chips and a side of nacho cheese sauce straight from a can. At a restaurant I expect nachos to have some form of topping, even if it's just cheese, atleast the cheese is on the chips already and everything is together on a plate, I guess I shouldn't expect much for the price of them though. If this restaurant gave you free food to pick at while you wait, how some mexican restaurants give chips and salsa, or steak houses give rolls with butter, these nachos would be that food for the Windsor. The "baked mac and cheese" side that I had with my burger was barely mac and cheese. It was mostly mac, no cheese. Pretty much mac, with milk and it was not baked. There was not a single noodle that was crunchy or in the slightest golden brown, and not mushy. No sign of shredded cheese baked ontop, no actual sauce sticking to the noodles or the sides of the bowl. I was tempted to dip my mac and cheese in the bowl of nacho cheese. Although definitely not mac and cheese from a box, I'm not sure which I would have preferred because it was bland and only tasted like milk. I have never left this place unsatisfied, but I think it may be a while before I think of going back.
