This place is pretty clean, and have some beautiful animals. The people that actually work there are kind of rude, the volunteers are very nice. I would definitely recommend getting a pet from this place. Please don't buy your pet from a puppy mill. Adopt a rescue pet

Humane society does a good job but they need to post signs for the people picking up animals, people get there and don't know where to park to wait for the animal van.

Arrogant and disrespectful and very bad attitude she needs to go and get a new person there that is respectful and before u see animals there u have to fill out adoption papers and give out private info that have no right getting invasion of privacy and I got a hold of the Huntingdon county humane society board and told them and reported Lisa boland

We visited a little scared dog today whom we applied to adopt. We arrived to see volunteers walking a dog. The employees and volunteers are super nice and very informative. They tell you exactly how they animals behave , their likes and dislikes etc, The animals are up to date on shots, spayed or neutered before going home. The building is clean. Absolutely no "animal" odor at all. They have a big comfy "meet and greet" room. Plus an area to wash hands afterwards. The adoption application is easy to complete. My family and I really appreciated the truthfulness and cleanliness of this shelter. The animals are taken care of very well. We are so happy we went in today. Please, go in and see. Many sweet pets are looking for forever homes. This shelter is a great one to visit

The fact that this a small, rural and remote shelter does not affect the team’s investment in each one of their animals. Their cat free roaming rooms are clean and peaceful, dogs are well cared for, and they are always willing to help!

We just adopted our 2nd Doggie from this shelter and are very happy. Staff are all friendly helpful and work quickly to get things done. Facility is very clean and odorless. Animals are given lots of attention and care. We have seen this on both visits.

Staff is super knowledgeable about all the animals. We adopted two loving kitties recently and our family dog many years ago. The animals are well taken care of and loved. It is clean and full of toys.

It was very nice! Two rooms to sit with the cats. Another room with separate pens with about 6 dogs in. $150 for a dog and $40 for a cat. Which he said we could get after 2 days after our application was approved .Nice place! Beautiful cats .

They care deeply about the animals that they're protecting. The cat rooms are easy to hang out in and get the cats used to human contact. The prices are Very good for adoption and they check up constantly on how the animals are doing.

The staff here have always been friendly and the cat room and office (the only parts of the facility I've been in) have always been clean and pleasant. I've taken several cats there since summer 2016. One was an adult cat who'd been hit by a car. Her back legs were paralyzed. I was expecting them to just euthanize her, like the shelters I knew in other areas would have, but they actually took her for evaluation by a vet first - so I'm confident that whatever they ultimately did, it was an informed decision made with the cat's best interests put first. The second cat was a four-month-old semi-feral kitten I found behind the Mount Union Dairy Queen. The poor thing was covered in lice and was desperate for some kind of affection, but she clearly hadn't been handled very much and it took me a while to catch her. The Humane Society took her in with no judgment whatsoever, and the only questions they asked were to help determine the kitten's needs. They don't even charge to take in strays and ferals, and the fee for surrendering a pet is minimal. Pro tip: look for their booth at the County Fair and at local craft events, they sell fantastic home-grown, whole-leaf catnip for $1 a bag. My cats love it.

Animals are friendly, some staff are nicer than others. Sometimes they ignore you when you come in instead of saying hello with in the first few minutes. But I have adopted from here and the animals are wonderful.
