Our Sir Winston does not like his nails getting cut. We have tried doing it ourselves numerous times with no luck. We’ve been to 2 other groomers without success. His nails were way too long and we were defeated. I messaged Alline Kennels with my concerns and they had me bring him in the next day. He was so worried. I had to pick him up and take him into the room. I left the room and stood where he couldn’t see me. They spoke to him and assured him he was ok. Less then 5 minutes later he finally had all 4 paws done properly!!!!!!! And he didn’t snap at anyone and bark. He yelped once at the very end. We are so impressed and will definitely be back here again! Thank you guys sooooooo much!!!

Xena and Nikki were boarded at Alpine Kennels when we had a last minute family emergency out of state. Lisa and Mike made my two pups feel comfortable and I knew they were well cared for. Xena and Nikki are real challenges whenever they are boarded because they refuse to eat. Thank you, Lisa and Mike, for having patience with them. By the way, I loved seeing them on the Webcam!Great place!

Great place to take your dogs for their grooming needs and for boarding. The groomers are experienced and knowledgeable. The business is family owned. The care of your pet is their top priority. They also live on th property, which is convenient.

My cat, Franklin, just spent a week at Alpine Kennels while we were out of town on vacation (he does not do well in the car!). Alpine Kennels kept us updated daily on how he was doing, spent one-on-one time with him, and sent lots of pictures, which made his stay more enjoyable for him and for us! We will definitely use their services again!

This is the most customer-focused kennel in the Hershey, PA area. I’ve kenneled both my dogs there twice now (and one dog three times), and they are always friendly, courteous, and very communicative. They accidentally charged me for an extra day when I was getting my dogs groomed on the final day, and they, on their own, made it right by crediting my account with one free day for both dogs. Great people and great service!

We took our new dog,BLU,to Alpine Kennels for his very 1st HAIRCUT! We were greeted by the staff,very kindly,at 8 am.I probably drove them insane with my lonnng list of what we wanted done,and what we DID NOT.But they were patient and understanding! They gave BLU the PERFECT PUPPY/TEDDY BEAR~DOODLE cut! And the price! It was a HALF of what we paid our Chicago groomer.We are so pleased we found a kind,caring,patient,and REALLY TALENTED GROOMER!We'll be taking Bo and Dash there as SOON as we can ! I want to thank Alpine for taking care of our Sheba while we were gone. They were very understanding that Sheba was very vocal and didn’t do well with other dogs besides the one she lives with. I would recommend Alpine to anyone. She came home smelling so fresh I could smell her from the second floor LOL.. I’m sure she told y’all all her secrets at the beginning because that’s what Huskies do.. Thank you again for taking care of my girl. We will return for sure!

I have been taking my three dogs to Alpine over a period of years... two pyrs and one flat coated retriever. They have been both groomed and boarded there. They look and smell great when leave. Everyone is very friendly and my dogs love going there. I'll be coming back for sure .

Mike and Lisa are AMAZING! They are truly a God Sent! Our Jelly Bean has high anxiety and unfortunately we just can't take her on trips with us.They let us come and visit before our trip and they treated her just like their own baby! They talked to us about why they do what they do and mine and Jelly Beans stress melted away.After that awesome visit I knew we could leave Jelly Bean with them.They had a really cool add on where you can have a live feed camera on your pup. I'm so glad we had that option! We loved checking in on her.I can't say enough about how wonderful they are!Thank you so much for taking care of our baby! We will see you next time!

We are so grateful to have found Alpine Kennels. We rescued two dogs about 7 years ago and they are not easy dogs. We struggle to manage them ourselves and we never felt that we could leave them anywhere because of how high maintenance they are (2 pitty mixes who barely tolerate each other and are afraid of other dogs). We had not taken a full family vacation in 7 years because someone always had to stay home. From the moment we called Alpine on the phone they assured us that our dogs would not be a problem for them. We got daily updates on our dogs in their online portal and knew that our dogs were in expert and caring hands.

We have been bringing our boxers, Piecey and TJ, to Alpine for a while. The Thewes family is beyond kind and caring. Our babies come home happy and sleepy. Mike and Lisa always have hugs and kisses for them, and it makes me feel so happy to leave the pups with people who love them like we do. By far the best kennel around!

Great people, great service!!!! Meatball's first grooming session was everything you could hope for. He looks wonderful. We found Alpine Kennels and Grooming and went to tour the kennel and speak to the owners, prior to boarding, as we had a prior bad experience, with another kennel. From the beginning, nothing but great customer service, and they took the time to meet our dogs, Capone & Gotti. While on vacation, they provided us with updates on they were doing. Very personable and true dog whisperers. We cannot thank you guys enough! You have our business and we will definitely recommend to anyone! Thank you.

Mike and Lisa have been truly wonderful! We had to leave our beloved puppies with them for a few months during a difficult move and they kept us updated and took the best care of our olive and falkor, we couldn't have asked for better people to take care of our pups! We highly reccomend them to anyone with dogs you need to board for any length of time.

New ownership comes with new problems. If I could give less stars, I would. Beware if you take you pets for grooming or boarding. Our dog came home with an illness and very skittish. Don’t know what happened, but we never had any issues with the previous owner. As we do have a standard poodle, the grooming she received was horrid. Her braclets were shaved off, her mane was missing and she had razor burn on all of her feet and her belly that required a trip to the vet. Never going back!

We interact frequently with the owners, who are housing a few dogs from our Rescue (which in itself is incredible how much they have contributed). The love and care that they give to these pets is unmatched. They have the hugest hearts and think/treat each dog like they would their own. We cannot recommend them enough!

First time here! The groomer took in my 2 dogs on short notice (30 minute notice). The guy was friendly. He did an excellent job on both dogs and they were both very happy and comfortable with the groomer. My dogs look absolutely gorgeous after their grooming visit!

Charged me 3 days to keep my dog there when she wasn't even there for 48 hrs. She had a burn on her nose. They told me that it was from her sticking her nose through the fence but yet there was cinderblocks within kennels.The kennels are very small!... I couldn't imagine spending this much $ to leave a dog to that small of a confined space.Would never take her here again... cheaper and more space to rent a room out at a motel 6 for your beloved pup.Beyond livid... save yourself money and time.

We left our bad dog Hope at Alpine while we went to Hershey Park. Hope has a long history of being an escape artist so I was gald to see the outside area was double fenced to prevent a determined dog from tearing the fence and making a run for it. The owners were cool and easy going. Note, you will likely to leave a voicemail but they call back. They separate the dogs by size.

If I could give this kennel zero stars I would. I left my 1 year old German shepherd there for 5 days while I was on vacation. I called every day to check on him and they kept telling me he was fine. When we picked him up he was happy and excited to see us. It wasn't until 2 days later that I came come from work (I am a certified veterinary technician) and I found my dog flat out. I rushed him into my animal hospital I work at and found out he had a severe viral infection from being at this kennel. He had a 106 fever. That is borderline deadly. It's been about 4 days since he has been on antibiotics and IV fluids and he is still not the same. When I called the kennel to let them know what happened they were completely unsympathetic and saying it had nothing to do with their kennel. the owner just kept going on about how they give them fresh water and food all the time. But that had nothing to do with why my poor dog was sick. He came home with urine burns all over his legs from them not cleaning the kennels and he was so severely dehydrated. When I asked for my money back the owner refused. I would never ever recommend this kennel to anyone who loves their dog because mine and my family's heart is completely broken right now to see our dog the way he is now. But the worst part is is that the owner couldn't even take responsibility for what had happened to my dog.

As anyone knows I am tough to get a 5 star especially on a first visit.Once I found the location, not hard to get to but could be a little tricky. The staff was pleasant to deal with. I was dropping my moms dog off for a morning at the spa. This was a first experience every having a dog groomed for me as I have always had shorter haired dogs that didn't need groomed. Yes I know that all dogs could be groomed.They did a nice job with the grooming.

Alpine Kennels are a family run, wonderfully clean, secure place to leave your four legged family. We have know the owners for 15 years. They are not only wonderful business people AND good friends, but also compassionate, responsible animal lovers that will take care of your pets as if they were their own.They also are wonderful groomers that make me wish I lived closer, so that we could bring our 2 Standard Poodles for their haircuts.
