I was so excited to come to visit my brother and sister in law here in PA. Of course I loved your store and the floor employees were great. Ran I wen back home I looked in my bad to find two pieces of clothing ( the two pieces I desperately wanted) not to be in the bag. I looked at the receipt and the Tan man’s suit jacket wasn’t on it, but where did it go?? Then I had a nice black and white Womens vintage Oscar de la renta dress and it was in my receipt but not in my bag. It it behind the register or was it put back onto the racks ? I live out of state and would like to know and have a resolution with this. I was there around 10:30 am-12pm on Saturday 2 /24/24. Please let me know if you find it. The man’s Jacket Suit was either Oscar and or another Italian designer. Please. I will keep my eyes posted on your posts. Very sad.Regards,Sharon

Wasn't bad but they need to figure out a different system for cashiers I was in the other day and had to wait in line for 15 almost 20 minutes due to every cashier went on lunch break all at the same time. All but one and she was doing her best to keep up but it just wasn't enough. She had excellent customer service and did amazing even tho she was the only one working the counter. She will be the reason I come back and recommend people. Her name was Jessica 😊

Whoever does the pricing here is out of their mind. New clothing is cheaper. They don't care if something is dirty, stained and has holes, they'll charge more than it originally cost. They need to learn what clothes are from Amazon and SheIn, that pyrex bowls are only kinda valuable if they're not cracked and scratched, that stuff from TJ Maxx, Macy's, Burlington etc are not designer clothes. The cashier and other employees are clueless too. No wonder everyone steals from this store. Fire whoever does pricing.

Good prices and friendly employees. Items with certain tags are half off and some items with a specific tag are only 99-cents. The shelves with housewares and random knickknacks didn’t have much to offer.Some thrift stores sort by size but everything in this store (clothes/random items) were sorted by color. I prefer the sizing sort because I’m not spending my time looking at hundreds of labels to see if the item is my size.Another shopper in the same clothing aisle as me summed up my feeling when he said “They don’t have much today.”

Excellent Salvation Army located in Honesdale PA! Would like to notably mention Manager Linda and Associate Bob for their kindness and understanding in accepting my donations of household goods and clothing. They are very dedicated to the cause of the Salvation Army and work diligently for the Northeast Pennsylvania community. I am grateful to them both for their help and assistance.

I absolutely love coming here,everyone who works there is just great and shout out to Ana(hope I spelled her name correctly)she always makes you feel like a friend in her home....prices are very reasonable compared to Goodwill and it's a fun,relaxing place to shop.

I love this place. As far as thrift stores go this one is large, well lit, well stocked, and reasonably well organized. I'm always able to find nice things, in fact most of my wardrobe is from here and most people don't believe me. Wednesdays are half off almost all clothing. It gets busy and the line to check out gets long but it's worth it.

This consignment store is one of the cleaner ones I've been in. They have very nice respectful and helpful staff and decent prices. If you're looking for a "time killer" kinda store this is the go to place. With a wide variety of items and a vast variety of clothing sizes you can easily spend hours in this store.

Ok place to browse, occasionally nabbing a decent buy. But The Salvation Army Family Store people perpetually continue to forget that 98% of their merchandise for sale is USED, & some VERY USED! And, sad to say, some shelf items are sooo damaged, worn, &\or missing critical pieces to function properly, they shouldn't even be considered for display. They sell electric items that don't work. And, on those items, they hide behind a 'Sold As Is' sticker on every electric item - instead of testing each of those items before displaying only the working ones for sale. I have also seen, with my very own eyes (unless I have lying eyes), very worn clothing. Clothing with holes, no size labels on many more than a few. I mention these disappointing details, because, on top of all that, & to add insult to injury, their posted prices, on most of their displayed items for sale, are grossly & ridiculously overpriced. That's what's called GREED, plain & simple. They are a THRIFT Store, not Saks Fifth Avenue! All of these grievances are relevant & significant because the store DOES NOT, under any circumstances, give refunds, exchanges, store credit, etc. And, with inflation at record highs, the dollar in our pockets has to be carefully guarded & spent wisely. Sometimes, for a couple/few bucks more, you can go down the road a piece & buy new. So, if you plan on stopping by TSAFS for a stroll, be warned - BUYER BEWARE!

Prices have risen & why??..everything is donated to them. The place always has an odor but 2day it was exceptionally strong.A good browsing place for ceramics & older furniture.

Compared to goodwill they are very over priced, compared to a department store they are wonderfully priced. The store itself is huge. Find it very frustrating the clothes are organized by colors not at all by size. Takes you ten years to find something in your size. They have a no refund, exchange policy no matter what the reason is. Goodwill , you can return items. They attach price tags by stapling them to the clothing. I purchased a couple articles of clothing where it put huge holes in it. So now I have shirts I can’t re sell because it looks like a mouse made it lunch. There are a lot of things they need to be fixed, when that’s done they would be an amazing store. Until then, don’t bother. Just go to goodwill.

Was just recently there, and I love the deals and prices they have. But last time I was there, I was berated by a female employee for simply trying on a shirt over the shirt I was already wearing. She harassed me as if I was getting naked in the middle of the store or attempting to steal the shirt. Pretty unprofessional way to treat a customer.

Everything is very organized and it's easy to find what you are looking for whether it's by color, size, or type of clothing. It got hectic because it was half priced Wednesday and they were short staffed. Otherwise it's a great place to go for bargain clothing.

I swear to God I love this place. The amount of good high end things u get here are amazing. I go once a wk or twice if lucky. Religiously. I have boughten gucci,Armani, chanel, louie Vuitton all in clothes shoes and kids. Nike Adidas new with tags...its a great store. Plus the bathrooms are amazingly clean and friendly staff. No wonder every retail around here bottoms out. Cant beat sal val. !

Since I was in Honesdale, I stopped in the salvation army store for a quick look. I found a beautiful set of Christmas dishes, still in the box, for less than $10, and a Christmas sugar and creamer for $2.49! To top it off the cashier was friendly and lovely! I'll stop here again every time I'm in the area!

This would be a great Salvation Army but it infuriates me that very nice clothes that I would buy have the price tag stapled right on the garment! They have brand tags; staple the brand tags. Of course some items were taken care of and the staples placed on the tags instead of the garment, but jeepers cats...Update, two years later. Still ruining clothes with staples.

I would like to know whose idea it was to use staples to attach the price tags to the clothes??I bought some things yesterday and had to use a staple remover..now I have 2 small holes in ALL THE ITEMS I BOUGHT!!!At least attach it the inside label of the garment not on the fabric.You charge a higher price for the designer labels Hollister, Old Navy, Aeropastel etc. it's ruined even before you get it home..after a few washes those holes are going to fray.

There are 2 lady's in that store one has blondish red hair and the other is blonde they are rude and nasty every single time we have come in there!!!!! Always giving us a hard time for spending hundreds of dollars and for using $100 bills!!!! Love the store but you need to get better employees!!!!!!!

I've been to the Salvation Army Store on Willow Avenue in Honesdale on a few occasions. Each time the store is fully stocked with fantastic bargains on barely used items in good condition. Clothes for any season, size, gender or age is available, as well as household items and furniture. On my recent trip, there was a sofa in excellent condition for less than $50! I bought a number of name brand (Ann Taylor, Jones NY, Izod, American Eagle and others) sweaters for less than $5 a piece. There are sale days, when every item tagged with a particular color tag is half off. Mondays are yellow tag sales from what I've gathered from a couple of my visits. You can really snatch up a lot with very little money.

The higher the brand the more money you will pay. I was told by an employee that works in the back, that they have a list of brands. Each brand is research on eb@y. If it sells for 10.00 or more they price it at 6.99. They price their items on eb@y solds. Items have stains, holes, broken zippers and smell so bad.. Go to goodwill, much much cheaper.

This was a great store when first opened. Now many items are broken and/or dirty. Store is kept clean. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Prices are somewhat high for thrift products.

As with all the thrift stores, it's hit or miss. Today was a big miss in the bric a brac dept., empty! Shoes also! Come on ladies you know you hve shoes in the closet that you haven't worn in awhile donate!

The clothing is hung by color not size. Very inconvenient. Gave up on shopping for clothing and shopped for household items instead. It would've taken hours to go through all of that. It's no wonder they have so much. Disappointing.
