Callie's is a nostalgic haven for candy enthusiasts of all ages. Stepping inside feels like entering a time capsule, where shelves are adorned with jars of colorful confections, and the air is sweet with the scent of chocolate.Fond memories of childhood visits flood back as you peruse the shelves, recalling the excitement of choosing from an endless selection of candies and, of course, a visit with the now late Mr. Callie. One of my favorites is the chocolate covered grapes, a surprising combination of sweet and tart. Another beloved treat is the chocolate covered cream cheese, offering a creamy indulgence wrapped in a decadent chocolate coating. And who could forget the Mountain Bark? Take your pick of white dark or milk chocolate squares with numerous additions of pecan, raisins, krispies, peanut butter, mint... and many more!Whether you're seeking a nostalgic trip down memory lane or simply looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, Callie's Candy Kitchen offers an unforgettable experience that keeps customers coming back for more.

I revisited this place. I was here 50 years ago as a child. Chocolate is extremely good! I recommend getting a pound of mixed assorted to try them all. This is the best price. I really loved most everything, altho the pineapple was my favorite. Got a couple of chocolate covered Strawberries for Valentines Day, and they were really good. Friendly people.

Chocolate and HistoryThis local chocolate shop has been running since 1952! We love the varieties and also the museum they have where shows the old tools, toys and other equipment that been part of their journey making their chocolates and candies! They have variety of chocolates and candy and when I say variety this is where your imagination is your limit. The place was so neat and people were so nice and accommodating.I am glad that we were able to visit this place and immersed for awhile to what they can offer.

Chocolate is still good, but the place is a shell of its former self since it was sold. The old "museum" is gone, there a lot of space dedicated to off the shelf candy and less of the local made stuff that you would want to buy from a place like this. Service is friendly enough but still a notch below what it used to be. Used to be a special place worth going out of your way to go to. Now it is worth it only if you happen to be in the area anyway.

Saw this place on the way to Skytop. Knew I had to stop on the way home. They have so much homemade candy as well as nostalgic favorites. If you like antique cookware, they have tons of candy molds and machines in display.Their truffles are so good. The chocolate is tempered in a way that it doesn't dissolve quickly in your mouth. When you do break through to the center, it's heaven in a single bite. Definitely something to savor. They have all that hard candy you remember Grandma or Auntie having in the candy dish: ribbon candy, bon bons with the gooey centers, pulled candy with inlaid patterns, and HUGE candy canes. This is going to be on my map to go there every time I'm in the area!

Callie's Candy Kitchen is a must stop for me every time I go to the Poconos. When I went in August it was both my first and last stop on my trip. Why? Simply because I like to not only spend hundreds on personal candy, but for those back home as well. If I was ambitious enough to drive across Pennsylvania several times a year, I would visit this place frequently. The truffle pricing was a bit off on every time we stopped (i.e. what was a 1/2 pound or a full pound.) So either we were undercharged or over charged for truffles. Not a major deal, but worth mentioning that it may be something that everyone is fully trained on. Or maybe possibly having a sign that states x-amount in a pound would be awesome. They have a small section of sugar free candies. I purchased some and brought back for my diabetic neighbors, who thought they were amazing.By the way, I suggest trying their truffles. My husband loves the cordials. However, I don't think you can go wrong with any selection. If you are ever in the Poconos make it a point to stop at this gem open 7 days a week.

Ohhh holy cow!!! Candy is superior quality and delicious!! The macadamia nut crunch is outstanding, my husband's favorite is the yogurt covered pretzels, and our dog loves the white chocolate dipped milk bones (totally safe to give dogs white chocolate in moderation of course)

The foil chocolate eggs are dry and not creamy..I think they need to check this product..it may be too old for selling... disappointed because we always bought our childrens candy there at Easter..of course that was 25 years ago..we took a drive down memory lane... going back did not measure up..Sorry...the other candy we bought is on hold till Easter..hope it is better...

As a child in the 70's, while visiting my grandparents this was a must stop. It is the only place that remains from those memories. The staff hasn't changed too much, they just grew up and took over the business. (At least I think I recognized 2 familiar faces) I will literally make this my destination 2 or 3 times a year. Yep, a 4 hour round-trip drive just for Easter, Halloween and Christmas. Sometimes, just because it's a nice day and I need my Pocono Bark fix!! As long as it's there and I can make the drive, I will continue to visit, shop, enjoy and repeat. (Chocolate covered cream cheese is a must.) Just wish someone would brin back the Jordan crackers so they can cover them in yummy chocolaty goodness!!!Dietary restrictions: Sugar free options.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp for wheelchairs but, the shopping floor is a little on the tight side. Especially when crowded.

Great chocolate place. There is a bathroom but it's a "porta-potty" in the parking garage.

On our ride through the beatiful Pocono Mts. of Pennsylvania on old rt. 191 . We run across this cute little shop, actually there are 2, the pretzel factory and Mmmmm and the candy shop. We have been to the pretzel factory before, so if you like pretzels thats the (Wow) flavors best. So this time we decided to do the candy shop for Easter. Oh my, now I know how Charlie felt when he toured the chocolate factory. So many varieties, flavors to much to try. New flavor with bacon. Although my favorite is still the choc. covered cheese cake bites. The people are friendly and helpful. I would advise a cooler and ice packs especially for the cheese cake bites. Dog treats too.If my review was helpful please hit like.

The chocolate quality is superior. There are no better chocolate covered strawberries on the east coast; too bad they don’t mail the strawberries. Chocolate covered potato chips are excellent. Chocolate covered raisins, truffles, bark bananas- it’s all delightful. I return whenever I’m in the area. If you have a sweet tooth, this place will exceed your needs.

I use to come here when I was around 10 years old .. my family and I would go camping every summer up at Promised Land and we always stopped at Callies on the way to and on the way back home. I remember him making candy and am sad that he is gone now but very happy to see this place is still here ...same great place with friendly staff and every kind of candy you could think of. Thanks for all the memories!!

I came here on the way home from a camping trip at Spruce Lake Retreat. The candy kitchen is fairly close to Spruce Lake. I think as long as I'm able to get back to Spruce Lake with my church again I'll be stopping at Callie's again. I was with my father and my son. I am divorced, shortly after I filed for divorce I met mostly "winning candidates" and just got hurt more. So for now due to dating trauma, I've settled for losing a husband and gaining a grandpa with my dad. My dad is very nice. I don't expect him to pay but he picks up the tab most of the time anyway.I picked out milk chocolate covered pretzels, and assorted peanuts. My son picked out a plushy. My dad bought it all even though I was willing to pay. There is so much candy when you walk in here. So many choices and they have antique candy molds which is pretty interesting. The girl behind the counter was nice. The place is filled wall to wall with so many different choices of candy.Definitely a nice place to visit for sweets.

Visit for the first time on 09/08/23. I have to say that this store may look small from the outside, but when you walk in, has a wide variety of candy in areas that are not clutter. I'm from the Lehigh Valley and shopped at Josh Early for my Christmas/Easter candy. This place has the best chocolate I've ever 😍 😋 had. Sorry to say bye bye 👋 Josh, finally found a delicious candy kitchen that I'll be buying from. 😋Lisa Hope

Perfect little candy shop. Huge selection, plus some nostalgic candy from my childhood. There was a small selection of sugar free candy and pretzels. The prices were not bad and they were open on the 4th of July. Plus we got free samples and there is a little candy museum with old fashioned candy making equipment. Just what we were looking for.

So much candy! There is just SO MUCH. The fudge and bark are the best. They come in a couple dozen flavors (I tried them all). The museum was closed the day I went but they also have a mini candy museum with cool facts and a demonstration. You can look at the candy molds and newspaper articles though.

Mr. Callie would dip anything in chocolate, he passed away in 2014 but his family has continued his legacy. They have a candy shop and down the street a second shop that bakes fresh pretzels. It is a must visit every trip to the Poconos.

We stopped here because the Inn we stayed out gave us some of their chocolates and they were so good we stopped ourselves on the way home and got more! They have many options but definitely the chocolate covered cream cheese was our favorite by far!
