Black Dog makes excellent food! It’s a great spot to meet up with friends. I usually go for breakfast. My food always comes out hot and fresh, and the homemade bread is delicious (try the English muffin toast!). My go-to is a veggie omelet. I’ve heard the sandwiches and baked oatmeal are also very good. I’ve had their lunch items as well and have never had a bad order. Be sure to save room for a baked good, their cookies are outstanding!I love the self-serve coffee because 1) it’s good coffee 2) it’s always fresh and 3) my mug is never empty.. I drink a lot of coffee so it’s nice to be able to grab a refill myself!

Put in a catering order for coffee cakes at our office and the service was great! Food arrived exactly on time and they even added plates, napkins, & utensils for us without being asked. Andy was super friendly and easy to work with, even willing to deliver orders divided into 3 separate containers so we could easily put them in our 3 break areas without having to separate it out ourselves after it got here. Highly recommend and look forward to using them again!

Such a great, local place for breakfast, lunch, or just really good coffee. Their food is freshly made (and the bread is incredible, especially the English muffin bread), and the people working there couldn't possibly be nicer. I also have no idea where they get their decaf roast, but it's so, so good. And I hate decaf! This is our favorite hometown eatery, and we come as often as we can.Parking: Parking can be hard to find in the main road, so definitely check out the side-streets! Bring quarters for the meter!Kid-friendliness: Love bringing our daughter here on school breaks and weekends, she likes this place as much as we do and she's 10.

What a cute little cafe! Just moved to the area and stopped down early this morning. I ordered a ham, egg and cheese on and everything bagel and it was amazing! I got a cold brew iced coffee as well and it was gone before I made the walk back to our air B&B. The service was amazing as well. Very friendly and welcomed us to the neighborhood for the summer. I will likely have several more breakfasts there before starting my work day this summer!

I LOVE THE FOOD HERE! What a great place to eat! The people are friendly, I'll say it again-I love the food, and excellent ambience. I always get a fruit crepe. Howevet, I'm sorry but I can't give you a perfect score because you did away with the waitresses (when I go out to eat I enjoy the experience of interacting with the staff and being waited on and tipping) and your prices are high. Without waitresses it isn't a true restaurant. And why does the website not say Allegheny Crepe?

We both had the turkey BLT sandwiches. They were yummy and super fresh. Amazing staff. You can bring your pup(s) and sit outside.Parking: Street parking with meters.

Was absolutely adorable. Wish I lived in the neighborhood. I would be there every day. Prices are well under going rate for area. Tina was super sweet. She makes an amazing Double Caramel Latte. Can't wait to visit again

Coffee is very good, bagel was great also. No place to park as is on a small street. Nice atmosphere but don't expect hot water in restroom. Friendly employees.

The day-based menu, although not my favorite approach to order selection, does simplify the ordering process. There is usually something quite tasty on the menu each day, so even if you pop in without checking what the day's special is, unless you are a very particular eater, you should be good. Overall, I like this place, it has a very... personal feel to it.
