This is the most unique store, dine in experience you'll ever find. We had great breakfasts, and lunches there. The owner is such a sweet and wonderful cook. Highly recommend anything on the menu! Everything made to order!

EAT HERE! Don't even second guess it. If only I had a photo of my $8 breakfast. It was HUGE. I had the Chipped Beef on Toast (4 slices of homemade thick bread). To add even more they included 2 eggs on the side - WOW! I would have paid doubled the price. The best part is that the chipped beef and gravy were made fresh per order and it is NOT pre-made gravy. The owner is also absolutely wonderful. She has really made this little OLD store something. Also be sure to go to the back of the store and see some of the local artwork for sale while you are there. I cannot speak high enough about the Hillsgrove Country Store as well as the wonderful people who work there. I went back that evening to listen to bluegrass, but I understand that they have all types of music coming through there. I will go back again just for the people. It's nice to get away from the city.

Went in and got two big cookies and a soda. The bill was $10.37 . The cookies were $2.oo a piece so your telling me a regular size soda cost $7.00 a piece they are a ripoff.

Friendly old style country store/post office where the food portions are XL and taste delicious. Sometimes the wait is probably longer than you might like, but the servers are friendly and very accommodating. We were with friends so we enjoyed the wait as it gave us time to chat and share some laughs. Love this little place!!!!

September 4, 2022, breakfast out. 🥞 🥓 Hubby got "The Mess" which checked all the boxes, I had 2 French Toast (sour dough) & bacon, and our child had pancakes & bacon. 😋 Very satisfied tummies! Always a delicious breakfast when in area visiting family property. Customer service is friendly & courteous. You feel at home! ❤️ Bonus, my mobile cell service works in this area. 😮

This place is awesome. I've been there so many times through the the years its changed so much for the better. You can now eat breakfast here and dinner and some live music on Saturday night. It's so nice to see how this place grown. I love it here..

Stopped for breakfast and it did not disappoint! Purchased locally roasted coffee and locally made strawberry spread that we had with breakfast because they were both so good.

The backroad general store and restaurant is basically super common at this point. Some are run down, some are basically a Cracker Barrel, and some are as cool as Cindy’s. She treats pretty much everyone like they’re family, her food is good as heck and and and Saturday nights is a free party every weekend!

Best store in area! The owner and employees are kind and friendly. Great place to grab hunting supplies and a quick bite to eat. Even better place to hear about the happenings in town. We really enjoyed a wonderful homemade meal at counter.Will always return each time we are in town.

What a surprise! After being away from hillsgrove for too long, to find the old store being brought back with old and new ideas. Breakfast was an awesome experience. New owner is very engaging, even showed me the old safe used in bygone days of hillsgrove. Ask about it, the story is great, along with other bits of history.

Quite a change from the old hillsgrove country store. Most of the merchandise has been cleared out, just some groceries and art is left. The majority of the space has been turned into a restaurant. Friendly staff, very good food at extremely reasonable prices. The Italian hoagies are special. Free WiFi, which is hard to find in this area. Try Becky's ice cream just down the road for dessert.

I have stopped by once and I had a cheese steak sandwich and it was very good.I couldn’t thank for the delicious sandwich to the chef because she was busy.Hope I can stop by before the winter comes

Really a pleasure to experience and go back in time with a home cooked meal , deli food to go with home made pies and subs . Limited seating and parking but worth stopping for . Pay phone , wi fi and gas pumps .

I went back home for a visit I recommend the hillsgrove country store , the food in the resteraunt is very good Cindy takes pride in her cooking , the only thing is the gas pumps r down ,but otherwise it's a wonderful place to visit
