I'm not sure what good adding ANOTHER bad review will do for Hershey location but here we go. Today's service from Kristin (or so my receipt says her name is) was the worst service I have ever received, EVER. I've had other red flags from this location before but hey, people have bad days. Today, however, Kristin was over the top condescending and rude. The pharmacist jumped in and tried to help and actually realized that there was a mistake on their end. The pharmacist was nice but I was still in shock by what had just happened and the way this lady had just treated me. I can see now based on other reviews that this, unfortunately, is an organizational culture thing. It really has nothing to do with short staff, etc. which always seems to be the go to with defending rude service. After multiple rude encounters, I'm done. Go to Rite Aid instead, they've got great reviews and a minute down the road. I cannot believe that angry person is allowed to wait on sick people. It's terrible!

CVS in general has gone down hill but this location is the worst! It’s like a really busy airport…. Dirty, run down, everyone in the pharmacy is rude, they never answer phones or care to even speak with you when you go in person because they wouldn’t answer the many phone calls. I would steer clear of this location at all costs! I understand things are tough but maybe think about the people that need their prescriptions and how hard it is to get some of them. Show some empathy or compassion, it’s takes ZERO effort to just be nice.

The cashier is a woman who chews gum and spits in your face, complete zero! in all your stores I took a digital version of the photo but this woman knows nothing about it!

Disclaimer: I have only been here 3 times, and only for the pharmacy service (+ once on the phone). Every time the pharmacy staff at the Hockersville location has been kind, patient, and helpful. I am navigating a new diagnosis and have had lots of questions about meds and trying to figure out my insurance. One time when the online app told me one of my prescriptions was ready to refill, but not the other one, I called on the phone and they let me add the 2nd one with no problem.I switched to this pharmacy because I had one too many cranky encounters at my old one (which was clearly understaffed/overworked, so who can blame them?). Anyway, I'm glad I switched!

Staff are usually nice & helpful. Store is usually clean. But they always seem understaffed. Never anyone in photos & sometimes no front end cashier because they’re busy stocking. (But the manager doesn’t help out at cash register.)Pharmacy is rough to deal with. Always a wait to pick up meds. Even when they call & say an Rx is waiting. It might not actually be ready. And sometimes an Rx IS ready but I’m not notified. Can’t get through on the phone - often end up hanging up after an hour on hold without being able to speak with the pharmacist. When picking up in store they often leave the window abruptly & I can’t ask a question. Had scheduled a shot here & had to wait 15-20 minutes past my appt time. But the pharmacist was kind & gentle when giving the shot. Convenient location but difficult to use the pharmacy.

CVS Hershey has VERY poor Pharmacy customer service. Was calling in to get my sons script refilled it was a narcotic and scripts on file. I was on the phone for close to 2 hours trying to reach someone in the pharmacy, no answer I decided to drive in while on hold hearing "pharmacy call" as I approached the pharmacy. I told them I was calling to get my sons script filled and advised what it was and he got it filled for me right then. HOWEVER, if they would have just answered the phone it could have been done at their time frame not all rushed. SO annoyed and this is not the first time with this place.

I don't know what's wrong. Ever since I started using this CVS they process my insurance wrong, the lady hung up on me when I told her to not process my old insurance. The pharmacist gave me incorrect information twice. Definitely switching. Always loved CVS before. This one and lemoyne is insane.

Pharmacist was condensending, rude, no compassion. My doctor had to call back to speak to Pharmacist personally after already calling in the order...only because the Pharmacist "only checks his voice mails every hour" The order was called in at 10:30, so he obviously had not checked at 11. It iwas now 11:20. After the call from the doctor he complained to the staff about the doctor's call and patients who expect their medications an hour after they call it in. I was sitting right there. He came out and told me my prescription would be ready in an hour. I started to leave, then walked back and said loudly so he and his 4 staff could hear and said "I just want you to know I heard everything you said about me and my doctor's staff". It's time now to find a better pharmacy. This was not the first incident, but it will be my last with them. I have been a customer there for over 20 years.

Terrible customer service! I was on hold 40 min wanting to know if my script was ready. Drove 30 minutes because nobody answered. Got to the pharmacy and went in. Asked for my script and they said they didn’t have it due to back order or something. I was angry they didn’t answer the phone and I asked them and watched as I heard their phone behind the counter ring endlessly just like I was trying to get someone to answer. The girl said we are too busy to answer the phone. Ridiculous !!!! Today I went through the drive through to pick up a script. I saw them see me coming right at 1:29. I was almost at the window and I saw them as fast as they could put white cardboard right I front of my face saying we are out to lunch from 1:30-2:30. They saw me there and just ignored me with cardboard. This is only two stories. I have more! Don’t come here. I also went to pick up a script and they said they were closed for unseen circumstances and I had to drive to Hummelstown to pick up. They didn’t know when they would open again. I had to post because I’m so frustrated with this store. Get some management that knows how to manage!!!

Would give 0 stars if I could. My doctor called in a prescription on a Tuesday. I called the pharmacy on Wednesday and Thursday to see when it would be ready and the recording kept telling me they were working on filling it. When I tried to speak to someone in the pharmacy the phone rang for 15 minutes with no answer. I went in on Friday because I was supposed to have taken the medicine Thursday and they told me there was an issue and they never even ordered it and never bothered to call me to tell me there was a problem.

Waited on hold for the pharmacy for 30+ minutes. It was faster for me to just go to the physical store. When I got there there was NO customers and 4 employees and the phone was screaming “FOUR PHARMACY CALLS”The guy who walked over and helped me was nice and helpful but just answer your phone guys!

The pharmacist tech had the audacity to shame me for buying plan b. She stated “a whole bunch of people had come in to buy it and we really all should be more careful.” She stated it loud enough that an elderly man could hear and had to put his two cents in as well. I was buying it for a friend and thought that was disgustingly unprofessional especially if i was a consumer in a situation where i, myself, needed plan B and this would have been my friend’s (and I’m assuming by her tone, others as well) experience. I will not be coming back to this establishment. Like how absolutely disgusting and degrading behavior. Her opinion was not needed nor appreciated and i am shocked they still have this kind of staff here.

I’ve been going here as my primary pharmacy for a year. I’ve never had any issues with store staff or the pharmacists. I pick up my my prescription monthly and have never had any wait time or privacy concerns. I say this because some people have, and it’s not my experience. However I should note that I am white and a lot of the customers with complaints are people of color, and that’s concerning.

I don't have any issues with the store itself. It's a little pricey, as these types of stores usually are, but they do have some great deals from time to time. However, as many people have said, this pharmacy side of it is extremely frustrating! Some of them are very nice, but it's nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone and they never seem to get prescriptions unless you carry them in yourself. It takes hours, sometimes days, of calling back and forth between CVS and your doctor before they finally say they just got the voicemail or fax and this is long after your doctor's office called/faxed it in. I'm not sure what the issue is, but I hope they get it together and things run more smoothly. It's not an experience I look forward to.

I felt I needed to add my review because of the negative reviews I saw on here. I will admit, it's very slow at times at the pharmacy counter. But I don't think this is the pharmacists' and techs' faults, as it gets very busy at certain times during the day, such as right after work when everyone stops to pick up their prescriptions. This is mostly unavoidable. Perhaps they are understaffed at times. I have never had any issues with this CVS in terms of rudeness; in fact, I think mostly everyone who works here is pleasant and helpful.

Refuse to get prescriptions filled there as there is no privacy at the prescription counter. All customers waiting hear every word you say back and forth to the pharmacist. Customer service at this counter is very slow. Too many store clerks stocking shelves and not enough attention at the front-end check-out counters. Rite Aid has much more privacy; more helpful and better customer service.

Got my first flu shot in years and was super nervous, but the pharmacist, Sean, was totally awesome and assured me it wasn’t going to hurt as badly as I had remembered. Very easy going guy! This particular pharmacy services a huge community and for not being open 24 hours a day, and seemingly short staffed, they do a great job. It’s hard to read all the negative comments on here but hopefully this one will spark more positive comments!

This Pharmacy is unprofessional, incompetent and ill mannered. After numerous attempts at getting some sense of resolution for multiple medications, I was helped by a Pharmacist named John who was kind, courteous and completely knowledgeable. Unfortunately for me, John is not working every single day and I ended up have to deal with the unprofessional monkeys behind the pharmaceutical counter, AGAIN! 😕 CVS needs all there staff to take a lesson from John, the pharmacist in customer service skills. I understand that sometimes a new business needs time to adjust, but I think they have had ample time. I have transferred my prescription out of there. This place needs shut down, until CVS Corporation can place the proper trained professional pharmaceutical staff at this location.

If I could give zero stars I would. Pharmacy is horrible. Bad customer service- long wait times if you call or stop in or use drive through. Discourteous pharmacy staff and supervisor. Their system doesn’t work properly but it the customer’s fault. The convenient location does not overcome all of the negatives. Would not recommend.

Consistently rude and lazy staff, particularly a heavy set blonde haired girl with a horrendeous attitude. Always an issue with them not "seeing" a prescription in their own computer systems. As a customer you have to practically do their job for them, by calling up your own doctor, verifying everything, just to be told the error is on CVS's end. I'm assuming 80% of the employees don't know how to properly use the electronic prescription system because employee turnover is ridiculous; new faces every couple of months it seems. My doctor has literally screamed at staff on the phone because they failed to properly update medication dosage, and as a result was taking too low of a dosasge for several months. I guess CVS doesn't care about medical negligence liability.

Absolutely worst pharmacy! They give no privacy when discussing private matters, sometimes speaking extremely loud about your personal information. Questioning matters in which are non of their buisness, issues that should be only discussed between yourself & your doctor's. The worst customer service, slow & usually with a attitude including the pharmacists. I have never been treated so badly with such disrespect then I have at this pharmacy in more instances then I'd like to remember. This evening being the worst of them all by the supervising pharmacist. Being judged & asked questions they have no right or buisness asking. We have been going to this location for 10 years & still always having the same issues.. Currently stuck because of insurance & it is the only pharmacy to carry one of my meds brand that I am not allergic to. We have finally decided to just go out of our way to another CVS so we never have to step foot in there again! I have honestly never dealt with such unprofessional, ignorant employees, pharmacists & managers then at the Hershey Pharmacy. All you need to do is walk in and immediately notice the unorganized mess in which they handle their customers prescriptions & personal information. Just stay away, drive the extra 5-10 miles to Palmyra, Middletown or Harrisburg. Believe me it's worth the pain.

Prior reviews are spot on. They are incredibly busy for whatever reason and if you want to wait for a prescription plan on it taking 45 mins. Unbelievably rude at times, the other day I heard a pharmacy tech talk to another tech about a customer's high heels, "Look at those high heels (smirking), I hope she falls and breaks her neck". If it weren't for new rules where my doctor makes you use the same pharmacy I would have gone else where. I'm sure I could switch, just haven't felt like dealing with that hassle. No, privacy at drop off (about 5 feet of line space from the counter). Also, if you are on any kind of written prescription I have been unnecessarily interrogated (called my doctor). Other then that they are OK (lol). I will say they have a really nice male retail side manager or supervisor who always greets everyone.

They have been "filling" my ambien prescription for 2 days. The woman on the phone has been very nice but she keeps insisting they need more information from my Doctor. My doctor lives 3 houses down from me and insists they have everything. I don't understand why they can't just fill my prescription. I know it's not life threatening but not being able to sleep for 2 nights is troublesome. Please...DO YOUR JOBS.

Slow weight times at pharmacy. Like really slow. I once stood at the counter for 5 minutes waiting for them to stop talking (about the news) to serve me. And Brian the tall one waved me off saying he had no prescription for me (while I was in line and had not said a word) luckily the prescription (I amazingly DID have waiting) got to me eventually. The rest of the store is fine from my experience. Also i've heard the pharmacists complain in front of customers about the supposedly broken drive thru window beeping even when there are no cars. Just generally doesn't feel very professional

This pharmacy calls my cell number on a regular basis about a patients prescriptions. I am not that patient. I've made 4 attempts now where I called them and told them the number in thier system is not for the proper person. I live substantially outside the range of that pharmacy. The people that answer the phone at the Hershey pharmacy suggest I need to "contact thier corporate center" (without providing any info) and let them know the issue. I did my due diligence in letting them know they have the wrong number. It should be the pharmacys priority to resolve the issue. Today I just got a call about the prescription running out. If I got that call that means the patient did not.Incompetence!I'm posting this review because people should know they are not active in resolving issues for or with thier patients. I can provide a Photo of my call logs as proof

Poor customer service, slow, and unprofessional. They auto refill your prescriptions even when you tell them not to. They back-order medicine and never call to tell you that it was back-ordered and needs to be ordered so you have to call or go to the counter (and wait 5-10 minutes, if you are lucky) to find out that it will be another 24-48 hours before your medicine is ready. The only reason I continue going is because I'm forced to with my health insurance plan.

This is the local CVS near my house. I've used it several times since moving here, and it seems like a normal CVS. I like that it has a drive through window (although it's usually faster to go in the store) so if I'm feeling lazy or in my PJs because I'm sick and couldn't put on real clothes, I can use that service. I did unfortunately have to go get plan B one time (boyfriend and I had a condom issue) and I was nervous that the checkout person would be judgy or make me feel uncomfortable, but they processed the item like any other item, which was a relief. They always have a large selection of items, and the store clerks have always been pleasant when I've asked for assistance finding items.

Called ahead to see if they had at home COVID tests. Was told they did and then drove 30 minutes to the store to find out that they didn’t. It was their manager, I think his name was Brandon who said he told me that they had them. He acknowledged that he was wrong, but just shows that he probably never checked at all. Poorly run store.

The pharmacy is very slow. There are four people behind the counter and you wait 5 minutes for them to come and ask you what you need. Another 15 minutes to get the prescription filled. I was the only one there! This is the second visit and this happened both times.
