This Starbucks barista made really good drinks, but they had 3 people and one in the back who were trying to maintain serving the customers from the drive thru, online, and walk in. Which cause a slight waitThe good things they did acknowledge that we had walked in, and they'll be with us in a moment

Well I knew one day the line would be crossed. I have gone here since opening. Drinks are made wrong, place is disgusting, service is not usually with a smile, wait time is horrendous. Not kidding not uncommon to be 20 or more minutes. But yesterday April 26th 2024 before I left my home (5 minutes away) I ordered on the app. I arrived to no cars in the drive thru. I pulled up to the order screen. The person at the screen said, "I'll be right with you." No problem, I thought. That was at 6:09 PM. I was happy to wait as long as needed. No cars were behind me and were not behind me until it was 6:13 PM. At that point I thought, "Oh no what if the speaker broke, it has been 4 minutes." So I waited. I waited one minute. When it was 6:14, I thought, "Well it has been 5 minutes, what if the speaker broke." I ordered already on the app so I pulled forward to find out. I got to the window and the person said, "Did you stop at the speaker?" I said, "Yes I did and waited 5 minutes and thought maybe it broke." The person gave no apologies and said, "No it didn't, next time wait at the speaker. We are busy!" Then closed the window. The person came back a moment later and asked what I wanted. I gave them the name on the order. They blank stare gave me the order and went to shut the window but I asked for a straw. The person went to get the straw at the counter inside the store. (not sure why when there were some at the window.) On the person's way back to the window they kept with the blank stare and smiled to another employee. Then back to blank stare for me. So I knew ok they know how to smile this is good. I just do not get one. The reason this crosses the line for me is every single time I am here I smile say good morning and am ALWAYS pleasant. I am a retired flight attendant and know what customer service means. I am never and you can ask the people (I know there are at least 2 or 3) that have been there a while how I am always friendly. Kindness is truly free and I live by that. This particular time receiving bad customer service was just over the line. I will not be back. Thank you to those at this location for being kind when you were but I must say see ya! Good luck. I hope life at Starby's in Hazleton gets better. To the travelers on 81 stop at the one in Wilkes Barre or Montage Mountain. To the travelers on 80 Stop at Buckhorn. All those locations are cleaner, more organized and much more consistent in the product and consistently friendly. Safe travels everyone.

I used to come to this Starbucks everyday and I loved it. My order was always correct and everyone was friendly.This specific location has gone down hill fast. So much so, that I just stopped going. The service, bluntly speaking, SUCKS! Today I decided to try again. My order is simple plain iced coffee with no classic syrup and cream. Once again, I got my coffee and there is classic syrup in it. I AM A DIABETIC WHO CANNOT HAVE SUGAR!

I ordered a cup of coffee in the app from this Starbucks while traveling through the area. The person handled my order and drink later seemed not happy. She never smiled to any of her customers, he coworkers and even to a child the was brought in by one of the people who work at the store. This is not a problem until it shows in the way she talked to people. The 3-star for service in my review here are actually because of another employee who offered to correct my drink and made me something I could drink. Starbucks needs to invest more in training employees in customer service and not just making drinks and food. This is not the first time I have seen the same issue recently in other locations. It used to be much better.

I Use the phone app to order ahead. Thewhole purpose is that it's " Ready and Correct" when you get there. It was my bday so my latte was free. I pulled up to the order screen and said phone app order for Michele, now at this point if there wasn't a phone order for me they should have said we don't have it but let me take it now. Instead I'm told to pull up. There are 4 cars in front of me and by the time I get to the window to be told there's no order for me,there are now 4 cars behind me. Instead of taking my order at the window against STARBUCKS POLICY I'm told to pull around and order it at the drive thru. Well Happy friggin birthday to me! This location is not consistent.

Most of the reviews are true. I come here and to the dispensary next door every Friday and have for about 2 years. I always place my Starbucks order before going into the dispensary and by the time I come back out, anywhere from 10 to 25 minutes later, my drink still isn’t ready. I find myself waiting another 25 minutes, one time waited an extra 45 minutes inside Starbucks for my drink that said would be done in 10 minutes. This location is very understaffed and I can only imagine the struggle, so I don’t complain much. I honestly feel bad for the workers that do show up. I give my props to them, I’d probably have quit. The seating area is full of people every time, I mean people look and act like scavengers, standing there at the counter with wild eyes, waiting to devour their 10 dollar coffee like they’re some kind of animals in the wild. Once saw an employee on the verge of tears- this location isn’t equipped for the amount of business they are getting and all the weight falls back onto the employees who are only trying to make a living. Please remember that when they are serving YOU! However, my orders have been being messed up lately as well, so sometimes I’m inside Starbucks for over an hour waiting for my drinks only to need to wait for them to be remade. And 90% of the time the drinks don’t taste right even when they are made “right.” I never had this problem at this location before, and it’s impossible to get anyone behind the counter to talk to you and quiet frankly, I hate to say anything because I know they’re already dealing with so much. I don’t even say anything anymore when my drinks are wrong. I look around and see 20+ people in such a small area going bonkers for their coffee, so I just leave. Hoping for more staff, or that maybe after the holiday season things will slow down. Thanks to all the employees who are still here, regardless!

It very well may be quicker to attend a university for botany and grow your own beans. After a 30 minute wait to order, it was 26 minutes from receipt of purchase to being handed coffee. Amazingly after that dazzling experience, the order was wrong and had to be remade. We quite literally could have driven to Starbucks in Wilkes-Barre and returned in the same amount of time that we stood in this location. I watched more people leave the line before getting to order than actually get a coffee.

Service was slow, employees were rude, coffee seemed strong from age, pastry I had and thought was fresh from being warm. Turned out to be . microwaved and those should be removed all together. Pastry & Microwave do not mix. Replace with a quick streamerI'm thinking most likely I've given Starbucks my last visit.

Always cars wrapped around the building because drive thru is painfully slow. Usually gets my order correct. Process could be a tad bit lower. Friendly staffParking: Hazleton rt 93 next to Damon's. Usually don't park we choose drive thru but the time is about the same. Dunkin doughnuts is faster in drive thru and more crowded.

Multiple times that I come here and don’t get the extra things I pay extra money for, such as caramel syrup. One of the worst Starbucks I’ve been to service wise.

I travel all over and I have been to many Starbucks locations. This one, by far, is the worst ever. It is disgustingly dirty; trash overflowing from every can, the counters have probably not been cleaned in hours, the floors were sticky, and the food (both display and for sale) was thrown into a pile behind the counter. Service was excruciatingly slow, and I’m certain my coffee was wrong. It tasted terrible. Starbucks corporate needs to stop in to this store and shut them down until they can get their act together. Whoever is managing it needs to be fired.

23 minutes from ordering at a counter to getting a drink is crazy. I worked at Starbucks for 3 years during college and this place is very disorganized.I also want to add that they are making the drinks wrong. If you have worked at a Starbucks, you’d know that there are proper steps when making multiple drinks at a time (pulling shots for one drink while frothing milk for another etc.) It’s difficult, sure, but the purpose is that it saves time. The lack of following this procedure, along with understaffing, contributes to abysmal wait times.

Showed up at 7:30 on a Friday night to grab a coffee after a long day. Sign said “Drive through only”. Okay. Fine. Not a problem. Loaded my children back up into the car and sat in the drive through line (which took another 15 minutes) only to get to the ordering window to be told “Sorry. We’re closed”. If you’re going to be closed, please update your online hours and your hours clearly posted on the store. Thank you!

Stopped here on a road trip to get a quick bite and drinks. Took about 40 minutes. I ordered ahead via mobile order and when I finally got to the window (took 20 minutes) they gave us our drinks and shut their window when telling us to have a good day. We then called out that we also had food. She then asked what we got and informed her of our order. She searched and had to keep asking for the food we ordered. They finally got us our food to only having given me the wrong sandwich. The label on the bag was correct, the food was wrong. I then turned around, parked and walked into the store and explained to them they gave me the wrong food and showed them the label on the bag. The barista I spoke to was nice and they grabbed the bag and said they would get me my food right away. I stood there for 20 minutes waiting for them to get me the right food. The barista apologized to me and I informed her that I waited 20 minutes in the drive through and now nearly 20 minutes in the store, putting me close to an hour behind on getting to my destination, which is frustrating. They had no response and I continued to wait. The overall experience was one of the worst experiences I have had a Starbucks.

All I can say is that my heart goes out to these workers.The dining room has been closed for awhile, so it's all drive thru. There are 20 cars in line at times and you know these people are mad because of the wait. When I went, there were about 10 in front of me and many behind me and there were two workers. Idk why businesses do this to their workers....it's terrible. The service was still great and our drinks were perfect.

Okay so yeah sometimes this location is a bit inconsistent but overall it’s still my favorite place in the area. Recently we’ve been coming by super early (about quarter to six in the morning) and there’s this absolute sweetheart in the window every day we’ve been there that my girlfriend and I just love. She seems super stressed but is always such a sweetheart regardless of that. Working in fast food sucks, go easy on this girl and this place in general. You never know what sort of the day the person on the other side of the counter is having.Ps. Window girl deserves a raise
