Mike and his family did an excellent job. All the people that have been in my house since then admired the floors when Mike did the half bath and he took the toilet off And after checking a few things said I’d probably be better off to get a new toilet. Well I wasn’t sure about that so I called in a plumber and he checked it out. He said I should probably get a new toilet so these guys were great. Recommend them anytime.

Before and after photos includedMy husband and I were looking for a quality hardwood floor refinisher and found Floor Coverings International. From the beginning, they have been very responsive and professional. Looking at our old wooden flooring, we were told there may a halo effect because of the wearing and age of the floor. It was in very bad shape. To our surprise, and above everyone’s expectations, the floor came out as if brand new. There is absolutely no halo and the floor scratches and dirt are completely gone! We are planning to have them do more of our old 1897 floors this year. Thank you, Jim!

Jim worked very hard to ensure our experience was as painless as possible. He had a variety of samples in differing materials which allowed us to view what the finished product would look like under our own lighting (far better than just guessing based on what you see on your screen), he explained the pros and cons of different flooring choices, and he went over the installation process in detail, all on his first visit. When we couldn't find area rugs in stock in a size that would work for us, he helped set up a custom order with a manufacture (which were expensive, but very nice), and he even carried in the dozens of boxes of hardwood himself before the installation began.Jamie the installer was wonderful; not only was the work done very well, but he was extremely pleasant the entire time. My sympathies to him and his crew who had to spend hours removing a section of tile that refused to do anything but break into miniscule shards every time they attempted to pry it. They did a fantastic job accommodating our requests for a different transition between the kitchen and the dining room, as well as going back to replace a few planks that we felt had too much natural damage out of the box. The workspace was left clean after each day (important as we were still living in the house), and the whole procedure from carpet removal to the end of the hardwood installation took five days for about 1300 sq ft, which we felt was reasonable given Jaime was alone for about half of the work time. Based on this experience, I'd say Jim has an eye for picking the right people for a job and would trust him if he rated someone highly.The floor itself is wonderful and looks fantastic, and the price was in line with what we expected. I'd highly recommend FCI NEPA and would be happy to use them again for flooring in the future.

The installation team, Mike and Gary, were also very professional. They explained the process, kept us updated and answered all our questions. Jim was fantastic! He walked us through everything, never pressured us into buying anything. We wanted a specific type of kitchen floor color and he went out of his way to find one. The installer Nick was outstanding! He took his time, answered all of our questions, and made sure we were happy with everything before he left. Jim came back and completed a final inspection. Jim and his team were very down to earth people. When Jim came over to show me samples for my kitchen floor so much to choose from. I finally picked one. I got calls on when items came in and when they are coming to install. Jim even stoped by to checked out the finished product even bought some dog n cat treats for my animals. Could not be any happier with Floor Coverings and Jim Darr. Jim was helpful every step of the way but never to the point of overbearing. Always very knowledgeable, professional and timely as well. He answered all our questions and had plenty of samples to choose from and provided details as needed. Thankfully he had the samples because my wife and I went in a completely different direction (color and style) from what we had picked out at a local box store. From start to finish the process with Floor Coverings International was excellent. Jim brought so many samples of flooring to my home it was like having a whole showroom in my living room. Even with a delay in supply shipment, Jim and his team kept constant contact with me and scheduled the soonest appointment once they came in. He was thefirst person to come out to give me anestimate the very next day. From bringing samples to my home, assisting with staying within my budget to providing an expert installer, Nick. The level of customer service and communication was amazing, and I felt so much more comfortable going with them than Home Depot, or another national chain. Also, the attention to detail and execution of the job (hardwood and carpet installation) was 10/10. I'd recommend them to anyone.
