I’m in this grocery store everyday.Today there was an old lady at self check out, when it came time for me to pay the machine didn’t accept my payment (I was trying to use an expired cards- whoops) The machine announces that you need another method of payment when it doesn’t work.This old lady proceeded to stand behind me telling me I need to select debit or credit, when I told her I did that: and that I didn’t need her help. She then yelled at me that she works there and that’s not how this works.I just didn’t want some old lady standing over me while I select a new payment method and look for another card. I was embarrassed, confused as to why my card wasn’t working and clearly expressed to her THAT I KNEW HOW TO PAY AND JUST NEEDED A SECOND. She refused to walk away and started a confrontation with me instead. I use self check out because I have crippling social anxiety. The last thing I needed was this old woman refusing to walk away when I told her I didn’t need help. Just because you work at a store it doesn’t mean you get to force yourself on someone. If I’m confused or need help- I’ll ask.

Everything is out of code! No matter what you’re looking for. Bought chicken breast and forgot to look at date. It was five days past expire. Threw it out. Make sure you look at dates in that store. Wish there was a ShopRite closer. Don’t trust there cold cuts also. Ham was like rubber. Threw that out also. Train your mangers to watch for overcode. In business for 22 years and that store is like a bodega. If it’s not daily vendors please check the dates. Can’t trust the managers of that department in that store.

Every time I go this store I see 3-4 young employees standing idly at the front of the store , chitchatting and killing time while customers are using the self checkout .I have no issue with people who prefer self checkout but I really dislike it when the store forces me to do that while their employees all take it easy and have a time out .I come from a long day at work and I pay for my groceries . I don’t work for Weiss and I certainly do not work for free . To have a full shopping cart that I have to check out and then bag , while Weiss employees watch me , really boils my blood .Tonight I asked the 3 employees who were, as always , chatting and watching the customers do all the work , if they could open the register .One of the young ladies said , “I guess I could “, meaning It was really a bother . I made the comment that I don’t work there and that they are all just sitting around , she looked at her coworkers and they all rolled their eyes .I don’t appreciate this type of customer service ; I spend my hard earned $ at your store and I expect to be treated professionally .I have to deal with this type of attitude every single time I shop there . Why do I always have to ask them to open a register ???Extremely frustrated and really annoyed with this attitude and service . I think it’s worth my trip to Matamoras at Shop Rite , they always have at least two to three registers open at all times and the staff is always professional .I have been shopping at this store for the past 5 years and it seems to be just getting worse and worse .

Alright, enough is enough. I haven't mentioned this store once in the last nine months even though I shop there daily. BUT I AM SICK AND TIRED OF FREEZER BURNT FOOD. FIX THE DAMN THING ALREADY!!!!!!! Shout out to Joe the store manager and the employees of this Weis! Locked my self out of my car and was stranded in the parking lot, I asked on a long shot if they had anything that could help and Joe not only had a wire hanger but came out to the car to help me and my dad until he yanked the keys out. It was absolutely not within your pay grade to do that for us lol but I’m beyond grateful for your help and this step of excellence. God bless you and thank you again!

The aisles are clearly marked, now.It makes getting used to where everything is, easier. Most aisles are stocked, now.Just got stew beef for $2.99Jan: Prices have gone up $5 is the cheapest beef, now!March edit: $7 now.

I hate this place, it's close to the house so I run in sometimes but it's awful. The employees are so incredibly unpleasant, there are never registers open, the layout is atrocious and there isn't much meat to choose from, today there was no chicken at all.Edit:I'd already disliked this place before, but turns out they also discriminate against non Americans. I asked my 30 year old husband to grab a tallboy beer to roast the chicken on and they refused to serve him with his European passport. They said his ID needs to be American, so he showed his American work card says he is who he is and they still refused to sell him a beer. When I came over to buy it myself and complained they said it's policy and were very rude, acting like I was being outrageous for being upset.I can only imagine the outrage if it were the other way around and an American passport wasn't enough to buy alcohol in Europe.

Wow! These guys have really grown as a team. A few new additions to the team make my daughter's trip into the store like an amusement park. She has so much fun saying hi to the team. The place is super clean and very well stocked. The younger staff on registers are always so friendly and part of the community. It's such a lovely experience. Great work WEIS.

There's a much newer, larger, and better stocked Weis Market just a few miles up the road, but this one was convenient. It's okay, but nothing special. It reminds me of an A&P or Grand Union of times past.

I’m in the store a few days a week. The store has improved greatly as far as variety and products from the past few years. What I don’t understand is why some products will be out of stock for weeks. For example the Weis wild caught signature shrimp, certain Goya products-rice & beans, and certain cold cuts. I wish this store would stock more fresh wild caught seafood and Boars head cold cuts. We live nearby so it’s not always convenient to go down to Dingmans or the Shoprite in Matamoras. Overall this is a nice supermarket with friendly helpful staff and very clean. Thank you.

Love our good ole’Weiss in Lords Valley! Customer service is great!! Although the store is going through some renovations but bare with it because they will be offering more products including Beer (I think) and Wine 🍷😍!! Great place to shop so convenient for those living in Hemlock Farms or the Lords Valley area!!

I find this store a good place to do my shopping. Most items I need are in stock. The staff is very helpful. They often have very good specials that saves me money and points I can use at local gas stations to save 10 cents per gallon on gasoline. Weis has plenty of parking and convenient store hours.

Weis or Mr. Z's has the best food and grocery items. Their produce is extremely fresh. The deli has pre-cut cold cuts already sorted in individual packages so you can just grab and go.

So despite its convenience, I think I'm finally done with Weis. The Lord's Valley location has a history of selling meat that turns before it's sell by date, but this time was the last straw. We purchased hamburger meat on a Monday that was dated as packaged on Monday. It was gray by Tuesday, and dated as sell by Wednesday.That's bad enough, but forgivable. What really, finally, angered me was that when I went to return it, their customer service desk at the Lord's Valley Weis now closes at 6 PM. Luckily an employee working the self-check was able to ring up a return for me, but otherwise I would have been stuck with the bad meat. I'm through with this location (at the very least) for anything other than quick-stop last-minute items. Shoprite may be 20 minutes further, but the meat and produce still last longer.(In case you were wondering, the second star is for the customer service from the young employee who processed the return. She was great.)

Although I was happy to see the renovation of the Lords Valley store, with the new arrangement of aisles and cleanliness, I am disappointed that the deli counter with its amiable staff who were always eager to help you find what you want is now gone. Now, if I want cold cuts, I have to choose from the in-store pre-sliced packages. That is undesirable as I can't see what is in the packages, and I can't ask for thicker slices. I'm sure this was done as an economic saving; after all, you need less staff, and there's no waiting in the deli line, but these savings are at the cost of the "friendly" deli experience.I also enjoy the Silk brand Oat milk but was told that the store doesn't carry it and WON'T carry it. Coming from California with plenty of fresh organic products, I was disappointed in your organic section, but it is excellent at least that you attempt an organic area. Now I will do most of my shopping at ShopRite in Matamoras for these staples and other things usually in my cart.

I always get good service at the lords Valley Weiss.Clean and helpful workers. But , Today the meat department was in very bad shape. Very little choices, lamb look old. Steps were hurting. I had to go else were for meat selection. Also the closed the deli department!!??? Why??

I always love going in to this Weis and seeing all the familiar, friendly employees. A great place to shop!Edit: I'm updating my review as of February 20, 2022. They're now updating/renovating the store and doing lots of upgrades. I was very nervous with the new Weis store opening last year in Dingman's Ferry that they would eventually close but am SO happy to see that they're staying open and continuing to serve this section of the county that doesn't have as many options for grocery shopping.

The Sea Food Department is great with products and service. Bruce G was the best at helping give the best cuts of fish. He even offered recipes for the items that were purchased. The whole staff was great. Bruce G even packaged the items with great care and detail. The prices were great to add! We had a great experience there. Amanda who checked us today was so polite and friendly. Fast Check out. All around good experience.

I love this store, but ever since the Weis opened down the road, stocks have been run down (they were out of multiple spices and other items) and the meat selection has become pretty sparse. I hope they don't close the Weis in Lords Valley or I'll have to pour ashes on my head and wear sackcloth. And drive 20 miles to get my food.

This new Weis is awesome. Fresh produce, baked goods, and a huge frozen fish section. The center aisles are always clean and associates actually help you locate items that are hiding.The pharmacy is very convenient and Samantha will go the extra mile to help you. I should know since Samantha actually left the pharmacy to come and find me. -she circled the store twice.Just go here. Don't drive 28 miles if you don't have to. Forget that.

This is now second best supermarket around. The new Weis is just 15 min down the 739 road and is probably twice the size. Organic section and fish options are becoming smaller and less interesting. We couldn't find organic milk today. To their credit they are renovating and hope the next review will go back to 5 🌟

Prices feel a bit high, and not very good selection. Lots of staff and staff appear friendly, but I only go to this store if Im in a rush because of the lack of variety and higher prices.
