Dog town in New Britain is closing. The new dog town is Dogtown309 in Hatfield, PA. There's no need to make an appointment to drop off your dog after the free evaluation. No need for the Boratella vaccination either.

Our pup went for his first grooming session. Our clinician went over and above any groomer we have ever been to see (previous dogs). She not only contacted us the day before, but also orchestrated every aspect of his care so that he would be comfortable. He looks fantastic too!!!

Totally amazing place to adopt! I’ve had the best experience with Dog Town Rescue! I had total support from the staff especially Karina! I never felt like I was a bother. Would most definitely adopt from here again. Please adopt over shopping for designer breeds. You never know who your next best friend could be!

Not only did my precious pup attend day care there for many many years we were lucky to adopt one of their rescues early on. Jen loves dogs and I would trust her or anyone on her staff to care for my dogs.

Have been taking our maybelline mascara teardrop tattoo lulu Lucy girl here since we adopted her 9 years ago. This is the only place we will go. The staff is always pleasant and friendly. Lucy goes bonkers every time I mention the words “dog town” to her! Thank you to Jenn and the rest of the staff that always makes our experience a pleasurable one! ❤️🐾 🐶❤️

I can recommend Jenn and the team at Dogtown for kennel care and daycare. I've been using services at Dogtown for 2 years. My Goldendoodle, Rebs, doesn't hesitate or look back when she gets to Dogtown. She is always well cared for and comes home dog tired. The team is also incredibly flexible with my schedule and has always accommodated my crazy work schedule to help with dog care. Rates are very fair.Sandy

I recently worked with Amanda to adopt my rescue pup. He’s the perfect addition to my home and Amanda was so helpful and knowledgeable, and even told me to reach out directly to her if I had any questions after I brought the dog home. The entire process, from the time I filled out the application to the time I brought him home, took less than a week. It’s also an added bonus that they offer a discount on food and supplies for the life of the dog. Overall great experience and I couldn’t be happier with my new addition!

I absolutely love sending my Henna to their boarding. She has a blast, they are glad to give me updates when I call, and I know they are handling her with the utmost skill and professionalism. Jen is amazing and her work and business is amazing. I even know a teen that worked there and he had a great experience there as a young employee.Great products, great knowledge and great love for the dogs. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Yes, it smells like dogs there. (I saw another review complaining about this). But, there ARE dogs there. And, I went in one time, and they were cleaning the dog area. It’s just animals. They have a scent. Top notch. Keep up the great work! I love the new location also. Thank you for being the only place I trust to send my girl.

As soon as I say daycare, dolly hops around All excited. Sometimes I literally have to drag her out or have a staff member walk us out to get her to go home.

The Dog Town team is amazing! I am a super protective French Bulldog mom (we all are) and the Dog Town team treated my furbaby like their own. I trusted very few with my pup and the Dog Town team is among the few. They are clean, caring, and attentive. I would recommend them to anyone. Shifting to their rescue efforts...they work they do with their rescue is incredible. Stay amazing Dog Town team!

I love Dog Town! The staff and owner are wonderful. I rescued a wonderful pup from them who is my entire world. The adoption process was very quick and easy! They helped us to find the perfect match for us, and boy were they right! My BB loved it there so much we let her go back for Daycare. She is treated like a princess in the daycare and loves playing with Alex and Jac. I also frequently go to the New Britain location because they are up the street from my house and my dogs love getting to shop around in there. We always get a warm welcome from the staff and are so helpful!

My chocolate lab love going to Dog Town. We have been using Dog town boarding for many years with no issues. The staff are always very attentive and friendly with the dogs. Thanks for making my dog feel comfortable and welcome he is always happy and tired when I go and pick him up! The store at the front is very nice and I love that they are caring for rescued dogs and cats, looking for a forever home.

My dogs love going to Dog Town. For many years we have brought them there for boarding for our vacations, and when we had personal emergencies. We have used them for daycare and grooming too, with no issues. And the store is very nice! The staff has always given a lot of attention to the dogs, and honored our requests. We appreciate Jennifer and the staff at Dog Town. Thanks for being there for us!

Dog town the store is always well stocked and both my pups love coming to daycare. The rescue has done a great job trying to find dogs their forever homes. For anyone who is unsatisfied by the smell of dog they are always looking for new volunteers and I’m sure would love a keen eye like yours to give the very best care to the animals.

My dog loved attending Dog Town when we lived in the area. Jen and her amazing staff go above and beyond for all the animals they serve and are such an asset to their community. Now that I live in a small town in northern Indiana, and have little options for dog daycare, I value Dog Town’s services even more! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Dog Town is an awesome place. The new location in Hatfield is beautiful and so convenient to get to. The owner, Jen, is really helpful and knowledgeable and has helped us with dog advice many times. Top quality products in the store and an awesome rescue if you’re ever looking to adopt.

We found a dog we wanted to adopt. Since we adopted from here before, we thought it was going to be an easy process. I was wrong. Before you can even see the dog, an application needs to be filled out and approved. I filled it out and was turned down. I emailed to find out why and it was because of a gap in vet visits of past and current dogs. My current dogs are healthy and up to date on their shots. We have a primary vet but took them to other places as well. They wanted all the information. Thats too much. Just because we don't take them to the vet regularly, doesn't mean we don't care for them. At the time of this review, there is a crisis at all local animal shelters and rescues. Dog town themselves posted how overwhelmed they are. This hypocrisy is why I will never go here again. The crisis will only get worse if you make the adoption process difficult. We will most likely adopt from the spca, where there process is easier.

My dog loves Dog Town, which means I love Dog Town! They treat her like their own, which makes me so happy. I drive close to 45 minutes to take my pup there, which I feel is a testament to the service they provide. Could I find somewhere closer to my home for boarding and grooming? Probably. Would my pup receive the same care as she does do at Dog Town? Doubtful. I'd never trust her with anyone else!

Dog Town has an amazing staff who care so passionately for all of the rescues and day care dogs. I was fortunate to be part of this amazing team for 3 years and loved it (only left because we moved). We also adopted 2 perfect pooches! Thank you Jenn & all of Dog Town ❤️❤️❤️

Not usually one to post reviews, but I have to say, Dogtown has been nothing but great to my Bowie and I . He recently started daycare, and during an emergency situation needing to get him in by the next day, they squeezed me in for an evaluation outside of normal hours. They've been absolutely great to him, and as a dog with horrible anxiety, its great to hear all the positive feedback when I pick him up everyday. Great staff and a great environment for Bowie!!

My boyfriend and I loved this place. We just adopted a few days ago. Jenn was super prompt at reaching out to me after we fell in love with a dog. Every dog we met had an awesome personality. You can't beat the perks and customer service you receive after adopting from them. They sincerely do care about their animals and it shows. We had a great experience! So glad we gave this place a chance, we will be using them in the future.

Great rescue dogs. I rescued 2 dogs from them. A few years ago I rescued a senior dog. She died in the fall. This passed January I rescued a little fellow who is so cute and sweet.

The owner lies to her customers!! I've never looked to adopt from dogtown. The reason i gave such a low review is that for their daycare all of the dogs are thrown together in one room and every time i have gone there have been a ton of dogs with just one employee sitting around not even paying attention to them. It is also located on 309 a super busy road and they walk the dogs in areas that are not fenced in. It would be very easy for a dog to get away. My friend boarded her dog here which was already a very nervous dog. They were walking her outside and the employee must have dropped the leash and she took off. It took them days to find her. I was shocked to find out this has happened more than once. Obviously the owner has no problem lying to her customers considering she tried to claim that i was a problem customer trying to adopt from them. There are much better facilities in the area that are also cheaper.

I took my 2 rottweilers who behave really well there 2 years ago when I went on a vacation for the week. During a visit to check it out the place seemed like a good place. When I returned to pick my dogs up I noticed they had excess gooey stuff all around their eyes (Same thing happened to them when I got them fixed from being medicated). They slept for almost 2 days after & had bathroom issues for 2 weeks. If you treat your dogs like a family member then you don't want to put them there where I feel my dogs were mistreated. I have not returned & never will.

I love Dogtown! My dog has the best time there and is always tired when I get him home. The staff are informative, the owner is very personable and they send me pictures of my dog when he is kenneled for a few days. Their rescue is also wonderful.

I had a very poor experience with this place. After submitting a thorough (as thorough as an online application can be) application, I reached out to the rescue through their Facebook messenger AND email to try to set up a visit with one of the dogs there, I never heard back. I then called, to which whoever answered the phone acted like they didn't want to be there and essentially just said that visiting hours are until closing and the dog was there if I wanted to see him. I drove two and a half hours to visit the dog and the whole experience was just kind of unwelcoming (like I was burdening them by coming in to meet the dog). Before leaving I asked about my application and the said that the woman who does applications was out but she'd contact me soon (she didn't). After not hearing, I decided to make another trip up to show that I was indeed serious about the dog, to which the owner actually acted like I was insane for driving up just to see a dog (hello, it's a rescue for animals, show a little more compassion to someone who wants an animal). I didn't stay long, but before leaving I inquired again whether or not I was going to be notified whether or not my application was accepted or denied. They said they would contact me "in a few days" regarding it... I never received a call, email, or any form of contact from this rescue regarding the dog or the application I submitted. I would never recommend this place based off the treatment I received. Ironically, the dog I was trying to adopt went to a reviewer below me who also rated Dog Town lowly... I have since adopted from a rescue out of Virginia and the process was much better.

We've been bringing our hound-mix to Dog Town for nearly a year—he LOVES it! My husband and I both work long hours and want our pup to get the exercise and play time he deserves while we’re at the office. When you ask, “Puck, want to go to Dog Town?!" he performs an enthusiastic puppy dance whiling whining from excitement (the same thing he does for his favorite treats)!!!There have been—maybe 3 times—where he's had tiny nips in his ears (from playing with puppies) or a cut from another dog's nail (from playing in The Park); the staff will talk to us about it when we pick him up. They clean the cut and even follow-up on his next visit. For the number of visits he's had—I’d guess around 75—I'm not too concerned. He probably receives more "damage" when he spies on our cats.Puck is a rescue (he was abandoned) and can be very shy/timid with new people. The staff has worked with him to ensure he's comfortable with everyone. When we drop him off, he’s greeted by name and the staff will, for the most part, kneel down to say hi.When we bring him home from a day at Dog Town, he’s pooped. To me, this is a good sign he’s just experienced a fun puppy day…much better than being in a crate or sleeping on the sofa all day. He’s receiving the attention and dog-socialization that he needs. There was a review noting someone’s dogs experiencing “bathroom issues” after visiting Dog Town. Our experience has been the opposite as I believe the hourly walks helped house train Puck. He’s only had 3 accidents since he started attending Dog Town (that includes traveling to new places where there are multiple pets and the discovery of an allergy).Bottom line: I would recommend Dog Town to anyone.

My French Bulldogs have been going to Dog Town for years for both overnight boarding and doggie daycare. Everyone is so nice and they always remember our dogs. The dogs always come home exhausted from happily playing all day long. They took especially good care of my handicapped Frenchcie, taking extra steps to ensure he was comfortable and clean (he would sometimes have accidents due to his handicap). They do temperament testing before accepting a reservation, so you know your pups are going somewhere safe. There is a large dog room and a small dog room (both quite large, so plenty of room to play - or rest, if they're tired out).Overall a great place for sending your dogs, whether just for the day or overnight. Prices are reasonable for the level of care/interaction you're getting for your dogs (they're not locked in a kennel all day long - they are actually being cared for, which is great).
