As always they show the utmost professionalism and care for our babies. Sometimes it feels silly having to take cats to get clipped but they never make you feel that way. One kitty had a wee accident and the tech handled it so gracefully. They've even helped me corral a kitty back into the cage when she escaped outside while I packed her brother in the car. We're customers for over 5+ years now and won't entrust critter care to anyone else!

I canā€™t say Iā€™d recommend this center for walk-in nail trims, or ear cleanings. As soon as I took my pet out of the carrier, the tech did a very Quick Look to get started and denied me service to help me with my pets ears. I mentioned Iā€™ve been trying to keep up but needed some extra help from someone who does this more and knows the anatomy of the ears. They suggested it was all infections and needed to see a vet immediately. Hours later Iā€™m at home and my pets ears are much cleaner just from me doing the same thing she wouldā€™ve done (q-tips, and a wipe). I didnā€™t appreciate the denied service, when I went in asking for help and even willing to pay.

We took our 11 month old Cockapoo to have her first grooming yesterday and Jenny was the groomer. She was awesome with her. She was gently and understood that it was her first time. I would definitely recommend this place to others and we will definitely be back! šŸ˜Š

Came in for a walk-in nail trim for my cat. Quick, kind, easy experience!Edit: We've been back a few times now and every time the staff has taken a little bit of time to get to know my cat - that means a lot, considering how quick the nail trim is! The grooming parlor is open so you can see them working on their other furry clients, and everyone there seems to care about the work they're doing.

I just recently tried Pet Authority Grooming Center out to see how my Diamond would like it there and first I must explain that I must have special accommodations for Diamond to keep her and other animals safe! Diamond was rescued from a dog fighting ring, so even though I have showered her with love and affection for the past 16 months, she still has that mentality of ā€œkill or be killed ā€œ when she sees another dog! She is slowly leaving that life behind, but when you are raised in that lifestyle it takes a while to get used to! But anyway, Cody agreed to come in an hour early and open just to groom Diamond. I was so thankful because Diamond really needed a bath. I can give her 1 million bars in the bathtub and it just does not do her justice. My brother and I waited outside as not to excite Diamond while she was getting groomed. I did feel a little bit of jealousy when I saw her just place her paw in Codyā€™s hand while he did her nails. She hates her nails being done! But to look at the two of them together, it looks like sheā€™s been with him for years getting her nails done! Cody has a chemistry with animals. I can tell just by his encounter with Diamond! Diamond does not listen to just anyone, but when Cody called her and gave her commands she obeyed. I was very impressed with how he handled her. Needless to say I will be returning to Pet Authority grooming center and I will also be having Cody working with Diamond. Please do not get me wrong the other ladies that or there are magnificent also. They came out to give me updates on Diamond as they knew I was nervous. Itā€™s this kind of customer service that keeps me coming back to a business. It looks like Diamond has found her new grooming center. This place was exceptionally clean. And let me tell you when they open the doors and piled a bunch of dogs. So kudos to the person that keeps the place clean. I had a very enjoyable experience at the Pet Authority grooming center. I will be returning time and time again. I recommend this grooming center to anyone that wants their dog looking sharp!

Itā€™s taken me 2 months to write this review because Iā€™m so upset, it is a long review. I had the worst experience and will never return or recommend them. I took my rescue lab/pit mix to them for a nail trim. Before making the appointment I spoke to 2 different people regarding my dogs anxiety with other dogs and just in general, plus the fact that he hates having his feet touched to the point where he is always medicated prior to appointments. I actually spoke with the person that was doing his nails prior who agreed to come in early before the shop opened to accommodate my dog. I showed up at 7:30 in the morning as agreed, go in there with my dog. The groomer is in there with his dog roaming around, knowing my dog has anxiety as I had this discussion literally the day before with the groomer, no big deal I got over it, and their dog did go in a kennel while my dog was there. My dog gave them a hard time as I expected so I stepped out of sight, thinking that was not helping. The groomer brings my dog out to me and says I donā€™t wanna work him up anymore. Heā€™s pretty anxious, but I only got the right side done. The groomer, then agreed to do it again another day and went as far as offering to come to my home to do it, so it would be less stressful. Great! I was so glad to find someone like this. This appointment was on a Friday that following Monday morning I received a phone call from the department of health for a bite incident, now mind you nobody said a word to me on Friday about my dog hurting or biting anybody. After speaking with a nurse at the department of health, it was determined that the groomer had a scratch from my dog that ā€œwas infectedā€œ to which the groomer needed to seek treatment at a Medical facility. Understandable if you have a scratch that seems to get infected and this is protocol I completely understand the steps in place due to rabies etc. My problem is, not one person from Pet Authority, not the groomer, not the owner, not one person called me Friday, Saturday or Monday morning and told me to expect a phone call from the department of health regarding what happened. I was completely blindsided by this. The groomer didnā€™t say two words to me when handing me my dog back. From the department of health conversation, I then needed to quarantine my dog for 10 days and watch for signs of rabies. Mind you my dog is vaccinated. My dog had the rabies tag on when he got his nails done. Nobody asked me for his vet records. Nobody even asked me if he was vaccinated. Had they, I wouldā€™ve proved that and shown his vet paperwork prior to the appointment showing he had just had his rabies vaccination in April 2023, four months earlier. So, while I understand the protocol, if there is a person, scratched or bitten during a Grooming, I do not appreciate being blindsided by it three days later, I think itā€™s unprofessional, not to mention, I paid full price plus tipped $10 for the nail clipping, and only had two paws done, and to that point, the dewclaw on the front foot wasnā€™t even touched on the foot that I was told was done. So after the 10 days of quarantine with my dog pet authority, then calls me and says we didnā€™t know that this was going to happen we just received a letter from the department of health, and we apologize and weā€™d love to see your dog back. Iā€™m sorry, you knew what was happening because somebody had to give the department of health my name and my phone number, so somewhere along the lines you were told that this was going to generate an incident report and follow up and you still couldnā€™t call me. The nurse at the department of health told me that this is standard practice if someone goes to see if physician regarding a scratch or a bite from an animal it is standard practice that they have to follow up on this and if youā€™ve been a groomer for any length of time, Iā€™m sure you also know this, as Iā€™d imagine scratches/nips/bites happen.

So much to say where do I start. The staff is beyond awesome. We've been bringing our fur babies for a few years now and you just know that they're being treated very well. Keep up the good work šŸ‘šŸ˜Š

My dog was in pain when he was given back to me. After a few days we took him to the vet as he was still in pain and he has a sprained neck. Very surprised and disappointed by this given all the good reviews.

So let me say this. The staff at Pet Authority was fantastic. They are very respectful and treat all animals like family. Now on to the bad part, which is not them but the vet that comes in for dog shots. They can be very rude to the customers. Again, this part is the vet that comes into Pet Authority, not Pet Authority themselves. They can actually do more harm than good for the store. Pet Authority is a great place to bring your pet for care.

Wonderful place to take your animal for all their grooming needs. They are attentive to detail and really take care of your pet during the time they have them. Also, very reasonable pricing. For nail trimming I believe it's $5.00, compared to PetSmart locally who charges $20.00. We especially like Erica. ā¤ļøā¤ļø

Recently I moved to Philly where I Couldn't find a groomer For Krystal. I tried many of places. So I took the 1 Hour 40 min ride back to Pet Authority in Harrisburg where the only Person that knew how to cut Krystal Long hair was Jasmine. Look at all that hair!!! It was like two best friends had a reunion. Thank you Jasmine for doing a wonderful job. Krystal say "See you in a few months Jasmine my personal Groomer I love you, Meow." I would Highly recommend "Pet Authority Grooming Center" to anyone looking for a place that care about your pets needs..

First time I felt ok about leaving my dog with a groomer. I've had bad experiences in the past. This place is very nice. Great staff. Happy dogs. The bad experiences here from other reviewers seem to not understand you don't shave dogs with an undercoat, sometimes your pet is going to have a nail cut too short (bring them more often,ok) and you don't have a flipping show dog. If you did, you would have a private groomer.

Pet authority does a great job with my big old ball of fur dog. He looks much slimmer and is always more comfortable after leaving here, though he hates the time spent in jail waiting for me.to pick him up! The staff is great and grooming is much less of a chore when you can just drop hom off for a few hours and come back.

The Pet Authority grooming center was absolutely wonderful. My dog Diamond is a rescue from a fighting ring. She is not very well around other animals yet so itā€™s very hard for me to find a groomer that can accommodate her. However, the Pet Authority grooming center was so kind as to open an hour earlier, just to accommodate Diamond. Cody was fabulous with Diamond, I left to go outside and wash the window as he worked on her. I canā€™t say that I wasnā€™t a little jealous when I saw Diamond put her paw in his hand and let him do her nails. I canā€™t get her to let me hold her paw long enough to do anything with it much less do her nails Cody has a way with animals I can tell, or a Diamond would not have ever trusted him with her paws. She looked absolutely marvelous when she came out of there and I was so pleased that she has an appointment this Wednesday, October 5 for another bath and primping and all that good stuff. of course I asked for Cody because Diamond seems very comfortable with him, and in order for her to pay attention to whatā€™s going on, we must get someone that can hold Diamondā€™s attention, and it doesnā€™t hurt that heā€™s a good looking guy to Diamond seems to like good looking guys (smile) no but on a serious note, if you want your dog looking great, check out the Pet Authority, grooming center they go above and beyond for your pet!
