Our family and kids live this store. Not only is it super cute with their gigantic adorable tortoise greeter at the front door but also a quick grab and go for your extended pet family.Staff there is super nice and very knowledgeable.Selection of insects, animals, aquatic life, and lots of supplies are enough and simple to grab and go.Prices are a little higher for aquatic plants and creatures but you’re also getting something that’s well taken care of.Lots of different types to choose from in the marine life are. Toys, supplies and treats are awesome.Cleanliness is good and the animals seemed very happy and active.Overall I recommend coming here to find your first little or medium size pet or creature. It’s so fun to look at everything.

Love it here! Bell is amazing and extremely knowledgeable on everything pets! I purchased several koi and pond plants on my most recent visit and got great deals and products! I have been going here for 20+ years and still do today. Tom, the owner runs the business and it reflects his standards. The fish 🐟 tanks are clean, the folks are knowledgeable and friendly. Tom,knows all aspects of the pet world and his word means something to him. I just purchased a large fish tank and it was delivered to my home and looks great!. This place is awesome. I’ve gotten a bearded dragon, a bunch of fish and a purple red eyed tree frog and they’ve all been healthy and happy. They’ve always given me great advice on tank and terrarium setup for everything from tank size and tank mates to ideal plants and substrates to start a bioactive tank for tree frogs. Best selection of quality products that are actually good for your pets. Will definitely be back to get the best pets and supplies around. The staff is always super friendly and helpful and has always helped me get everything I need for all of my pets. Best pet store around.

This was my first time in this place. It was an amazing pet shop. There were many unique reptiles, amphibians, spiders, snakes,and tropical fish. The terriaums were a beautiful and natural looking environment for the reptiles and amphibians. Definitely worth taking a trip there.

I stopped in the store a couple of days ago. I was pleased to learn that the store is still owned by Tom! I used to frequent this store when I was a kid to visit the reptile room and purchase insects for my pets at home. My wife and I had some questions and Bell answered, all of them! She was very friendly and great customer service. Support small business!

We ate there for lunch the other day and sat under the beautiful old magnolia tree. We both had the turkey Rachel, which was very good. I had the mac salad and Anne had the cucumber salad. Nothing wrong with the mac salad, but I should have had the cuc salad. It was delicious. We will be back!

I’ve never had such a terrible experience at a pet store. The girl with weird thick eyebrows was SO rude to us. We were looking for help and no one even offered to help the entire time we were there, we had to flag someone down. She was super blunt and rude to me. Not appreciated and terrible customer service. Will never return to this pet store.

I spend hundreds of dollars here EVERY-TIME I come. 2 weeks ago I bought 2 ferrets and became super allergic to them and had to return them. Nothing on their receipt except when returning items, you need to have the receipt. Well today, they refused to give me a refund and after spending $900 they won’t even give me a refund for the 2 ferrets. No store credit no nothing. He was super stuck up, not his “ friendly self” when your spending tons of money. Nor did he offer to help and make a deal. He said “ we will take them as donation” and got back to his work. So rude. Never will I return to this pet store. You just gave small owners a bad name! Shame on you!

Brought my little cat in for his first haircut ever, though he’s nearly 6, he had mattes and really needed to be clipped! Beyond thrilled! He smells amazing and he looks so cute! Definitely recommend!

Went in to check out tarantula selection and was pleasantly impressed with the selection and the husbandry of all the species they have on hand tarantulas, lizards, snakes I won’t mention other area pet shops that need to take lessons from the employees and owner at this place. Belle was well educated on the species they keep and how they should be properly taken care of. If you are in the market for a pet this is the place to go IMO. I will be back when in the market for an addition to my tarantula collectionEdit … I stopped back later after posting this and bought a Avicularia avicularia 😊

Went in with my daughter to pick out a hamster. The employee who helped us will have to forgive me as I do not recall her name. However, she helped us pick out the best breed for our lifestyle and went over every aspect of care in great detail with us. Brownie is home and thriving, Thank you!

Most of the employees here are very attentive and will always ask me on how they can help out. This is a great pet store that has good products and healthy animals. I got a crested gecko a number of years ago (probably around 4 years) and he is doing great and we had no problems what so ever. Here they also stock good quality food like the Repashy crested gecko diet. The only other gecko diet that I can think of that is as high of quality is the Pangea Reptile diet. I am currently considering getting a new reptile from this store to add to my collection. The only thing to we aware of is the higher prices than you see at something like a petco, though this is okay with me because it is a local business and it seems to be helping the animals have better care than animals at a pet chain store.

Clean store, organized and decent selection of healthy livestock. I would normally and willingly pay for well-cared livestock, however the hardware and food selection where compared to chain stores is vastly higher in price. If it was a slight markup, the convenience would be worth it, but this alone tends to steer us to other locations. Also, some of the staff are downright rude and could practice better people skills. The owner is nice, to the point, but nice. We'll be in for livestock in the future, without our apparently annoying rescue dog that for some reason seems to be an issue for an establishment that caters to dog grooming.

My boyfriend and I love to come to FFPC whether we need supplies or to just look at all of the beautiful, happy and healthy animals. We have gotten a beardie that we have had for 9 months now along with a beautiful selection of fish and our recent adorable purple red-eyed tree frog. All of our pets have been happy and healthy thanks to the highest quality care and supplies from Fins and their staff. It’s always a pleasure to see and talk to the friendly, informative staff. Thanks to you guys we have been successful with creating almost fully natural bio active environments for our animals (still working on it). Looking forward to coming back ASAP :).

This is a great mom and pop pet store where you get the variety and effort you look for in a pet store. The staff is well knowledge in their inventory as well as friendly. I have frequented this store for a few years now and very rarely leave empty handed. I highly recommend Fins Fathers Paws & Claws.

I've only ever bought fish and fish supplies so I can only comment on that. A top of the line store. They maintain their tanks very well and I've never had any issues with anything I've bought here. Staff is extremely knowledgeable about tanks and fish and offer great suggestions. If they don't have what you're looking for, they will offer to get it for you. This is the only store I will buy fish from.

Best selection of reptiles, amphibians, arachnids and more! I’m talking over a hundred snakes and over a hundred tarantulas and more! Everything is in a beautiful enclosure that offers everything the animal could want. There’s also multiple beautiful bioactive terrariums built and placed around the store which are very good to have and very good for the animals! They have an amazing fish selection and the most axolotls you will ever see in one store. I’ve never had any problem getting feeders for my snakes, tarantulas, or scorpions from this store. Some stores won’t have the right size rat that I’m looking for. But I never have that issue with fins feathers paws and claws. They not only have a great selection but it’s also a learning experience when you come here. The staff is all very friendly and knowledgeable about what they sell. They will tell you everything you need to know about any animal in the store and what you need to properly take care of it. They even have a few awesome store mascots. A 23 year old tortoise! And 2 awesome birds that love to talk to you. Coming here is almost like taking a trip to a mini zoo! Everything is always clean, well taken care of. The animals are always very happy and their enclosures are always being kept up on. I’ve talked to some other customers that travel over an hour just to come to this store! I’m so glad it’s only about 20 minutes from me. Best pet store I’ve ever been to.

Was really happy with the selection of reptiles. They have some pretty cool crested geckos, we bought a baby and are very happy with the animal, had no trouble eating once we brought it home. Would recommend over the big stores if you're looking for a reptile.

Excellent grooming department. I've been to every groomer in the last few years and they all have been amazing. Great haircuts and they make it so easy to drop off and pick up. I highly recommend their groomers!!!

ICH INFECTED STORE TANKS!Went in to buy neon tetra didn’t notice until they got home they are infected with Ich. White dots on fins gills and body. I don’t have medicine for this parasite so I’ll likely loose some before I can get a good medicine shipped to me that won’t kill my plants. I haven’t bought new fish since 2019… dated to skip quarantine.. don’t skip quarantine..

My poorTree frog was thin and not eating. Passed away in a week. Called store and was rudely interrupted and questioned. I have tree frogs and amFamiliar with their care. I was told I could onlyReceive 20 percent off another frog and should het an easier frog to take care of ?! This is unacceptable.

Bad experience, thought I was getting great information from them but I didn't. I made it clear I didn't want anything aggressive in my tank that was going to kill the other fish and both the owner as well as unemployee assured me the angel fish would not do anything so long as the other fish were in the aquarium before for 2 weeks. 2 weeks later I put the angel fish in and it killed four of the fish. I reasonably ask them if they would take the angel fish back and in exchange for the angelfish give me a few other small fish, they told me I could donate the angel fish and buy other fish. Totally disappointing. I'll never spend another dollar there

Pro: The groomers are very accommodating to walk in customers. The (mostly teen) staff comes and goes, but they all seem nice.Con: It is SO frustrating to have to track down a staff member to pay for anything. This literally happens 90% of the time. Been coming here for almost 10 years and there have been plenty of occasions where I walked out without buying anything bc I couldn't find anyone to take my money. Not a great business model

Ignore the negative reviews- they sound embellished and are simply hard to believe to be 100% true.My wife and I experienced NOTHING short of true professionalism and top notch service that is refreshing and impossible (or so I thought) to find these days.Bell* and another younger lady helped me and my wife out beyond what we were expecting…Bell helped us thoroughly understand multiple things we had questions and concerns about pertaining to our pond. She displayed incredible and extensive knowledge and her patience was remarkable. She was able to explain the same thing a couple different ways to help us better fully understand. The recommendations and advice they provided gave my wife and me confidence and truly put us at ease saving us a lot of time and money.I will only go here for all current and future pond, pet, and plant needs.

We love shopping here and supporting the business! however the girl with glasses working here is really starting to push us away with her attitude. she makes you feel like your business is not welcome and she is incredibly rude! The owner is absolutely amazing so I hope she can make some adjustments to her customer service because she makes us not want to come back.
