Took my dog (1yr old Golden Retriever)to be groomed. We explained to the girl that he is on the bigger side of retrievers and he is strong. She proceeded to tell us that she has a big dog like him so it would be no problem for her to groom him. I was there about 20-15min early with him. As I left and got out to the parking lot I get a phone call saying to come back in and get him 10min before his appointment time. She told us the reason she couldn't groom him is because she couldn't get him in a kennel. There really was no reason to put him in a kennel due to his appointment was in like 5 minutes. He was probably scared due to the choker they wrapped around his neck. Then she asked me to bring him back a few days later to "try again". When I asked if she was going to groom him I got a gasp and I guess I am. It wasn't even the groomer I had requested and this wasn't his first time being groomed. Needless to say I will NEVER! be shopping at this store again. After I felt turnt away.

We volunteer at Happy Paws here, the local Cat Rescue. Please visit the kittens/cats when you visit. The store is always clean and the staff are always friendly. I will say I prefer Pet Smart over Petco but I'm a bit biased.

My dog came home from the groomer with razor cuts and burns. She has been skittish and has not been acting like her normal playful self. The poor baby has some areas that are so painful that she won’t let me put aloe on it or touch it. She constantly licks the wounds. My heart is breaking for the unnecessary condition she came home in. And this cost me $200!!

This place takes my $! I love my pets and this is where I choose to purchase their food. I'm also ALWAYS finding other cute stuff I want for them. Lol. They have a good selection of just about whatever you need.The dog training classes are not bad either!

The puppy I dropped off for her first trim had a beautiful golden doodle wavy coat. The dog I picked up was hideous. These two pictures don’t even look like the same dog. We’re doing everything we can to get her coat back to normal. I also scheduled with the only groomer in there that I trust due to a previous bad experience & the salon always having new groomers, & instead my puppy got pawned off onto someone who was clearly new & inexperienced.

Overall a great store. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Store is always clean and well organized. My only gripe would be that sometimes the checkout area is empty and it takes a few minutes for an associate to come up. But that's not a huge deal for me. We have 5 dogs and I feel like I'm always buying dog food. But they always have it in stock which is great.

This store is clean, organized, and friendly. The groomers love my dog and he is always happy to come her and clean as heck! I always get my boy a toy after to! Everyone has a great personality here and ia soooo nice it makes you look past the crazy prices lol. Come here you will not regret it!

I took my recently-adopted 7mo old pup for a "Pawdicure". I gave the groomer a heads-up that it was her first and I didn't know how she'd respond.The groomer was incredibly patient, especially when my pup started to freak out (with the double leash). She knew when to call it, and I appreciate her judgement call for her safety/comfort and the safety of my pup.After some puppy training and grooming at home, I trust the groomers enough to possibly give it another go if/when I feel my pup is ready.

Great products, only thing that got my attention was, the staff on the floor wasn’t approachable. Of bourse they helped you if asked but otherwise no eye contact. You can tell alot about a persons demeanor by seeing their eyes.

If I could leave a zero I would. Been taking my dog here since he was a puppy, they have done a great job up until recently. The last time I brought him here, I got a call saying my dog bit the worker. I thought that was crazy because he has NEVER bit anyone, ever. They said they couldn’t finish the grooming appointment, and told me to take him back the next day. I show up and see his tail had a cut that was about an inch long (assuming from the clippers). I told the worker that I know understood why he bit her, and the worker proceeded to tell me to go pay. They wanted me to pay the full amount when he had only had and bath, brush, and started the haircut. I won’t be coming back, and don’t recommend this place.

Went for a free adoption event on 1/27/2024. We had a home of five cats at one time, and were unfortunately down to one. Planned to get one older cat to integrate into our house with our near 16-year-old cat. We ended up finding a beautiful bonded pair so we adopted two instead of one. When we left, there was one more bonded pair left in addition to a lot of kittens.The boy is 3 yrs old and a gray / white / tabby mix.The girl is 1-year-old, darker calico / tabby mix with beautiful bits of light brown in her face, neck, and parts of her body.All medical records provided and updated. Each has been spayed/neutered, all shots including rabies and distemper, dewormed, microchipped, Frontline for fleas, and leukemia/AIDS free. We did have a cat with feline AIDS pass away several years ago. They get a bad rep, but they're really wonderful animals and can very easily be integrated into a household with other cats if done the right way.They both appear to be in great shape, just need lots of food, love, and TLC which we're more than happy to provide.We just lost our 4th on 12/29 and our remaining girl needed some companionship.Thank you to:PetSmart of Hanover, PAHumane Society of Carroll CountyHumane Society of Talbot County

We adopted a cat from petsmart and the employee, Amelia could not of been any more helpful. She was so knowledgeable and kind and really took the time to answer all our questions. She was a joy to work with. I highly recommend their adoption services.

Great place. Had everything we needed. The animals loved well maintained and the staff knew a great amount about how to care for a specific animals. I do wish they would get more specialty cichlids in as they have some but it seems never the variety I need.

Don't buy the African dwarf frogs there just bought 4 there this weekend and 3 have died so far,not good selling sick animals, I just hope it doesn't affect my other frogs I've had for a year now

I love petsmart when comes to grooming my dog. She does not need shaved but the bathing is better and trust in pet smarts hands. My Pitbull is always happy after she gets groomed as in bathing, cutting nails, just the simple basic needs to feel better. Barb was her groomer and she did a great job.

This is my go to spot from pet supplies. Have shopped a ls ot of pet stores for cat stuff over 17 years and Petsmart is just hands down better than the others. Just got 2 lizards from them. Healthy and active hiding everywhere.

I absolutely love this store. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. It’s a pet store that actually cares about pets. The employees will ask questions when buying fish like well what size tank do you have. Any tank mates. Very important questions! Who wants go buy a fish for your other fish to kill it?! Or it outgrow the tank and die. While I was working with someone a lady came up and asked what types of birdseed were compatible for her bird. The employee didn’t even have to look up to answer her questions. 10/10 recommend

For a chain groomer, they’re a bit pricy but they do an excellent job. The girls are always friendly and scheduling online is easy although they’re booking out about 3 weeks lately. I had a nightmare experience with Pet Co grooming and came here instead. We have had no problems and my dog is pretty anxious so it says a lot about their staff being able to keep him at ease.

Don't ever go here. They are young and inexperienced. My dog has clipper burn in his ears and outside his ears. The girl tried to tell me that he had matted ears that caused a hematoma. He is extremely uncomfortable and will be going to the vet. I will be going back to consult with the petsmart manager on my dogs "hematoma".
