4/27/2024 Deli department is trash here’s why: before Covid they cut meats to order, then during Covid they replaced the meat counter with the open refrigerator with pre-sliced cold cuts. They have never gone back. But the problem is lately in the last few months I have been purchasing meats that have been brown on the edges like they have been sitting out for hours, slimy with tainted smell. And that’s pre sliced with a date no longer than one day old also. That’s unexceptionable, Every time I go to Weis, I could be bringing back, these products but it’s inconvenient for me because I’m usually stopping there on my way home and I’m not carrying around groceries all day in my car. So I end up throwing out good money! I’m not a fan of Dutchess in Greentown, but at least they cut meats to order and if you don’t like the way they look they’re happy to put the meat back in the case. So until Weis goes back to cutting by order, I refuse purchasing any deli meat from here on in. And another thing, be careful with bread, I’ve seen many times where it’s been resealed.

Moved here a couple months ago from another part of the Poconos and was happy to find this Weis. Clean, well stocked, and nostalgic cause the layout reminds me of my old long gone Mr Zs from back in the day. We buy a ton of produce and have been mostly happy with the selection, even this time of year (February.) Except the avocados they need to be changed out a bit more often. Have had to pass on them several times because they were rotting already.Your staff has also been super, super helpful, several times now someone has approached me (or my husband!) and asked if we needed help looking for something when we were trying to find some off the wall product I used to buy at my old weis. Every time this has happened your staff has known exactly where to find what we were looking for! Generally just a nice bunch of people working here. So glad to have this store so close to home.

Weis isn't inexpensive but groceries cost nowadays. The pharmacy is very helpful, fast and cordial. They have a big selection of items and a very good deli and sea food area. A lot of kind employees, too.

Friendly, helpful employees. Always a pleasure to shop here. Gave 4 stars, because of the preservatives/additives to their prepared foods. If one is looking for healthy meals pass on these. MSG& high fructose corn syrup is not what I expect to be in a vegetable sushi!!

Let me start by saying I have been a Weis shopper for 30 years… today placed an order online for delivery from Weis Market in Hamlin….19 items were ordered….delivery time between 3PM and 4PM…finally at 4:23PM the order arrived…looks like some items are missing…sure enough 10 out of the 19 items are missing (strike one)! Call Weis…person who answers the phone tells me they are busy and he will have to call me back….strike two! Calls me back and says he will “try to find the missing items”…my question…”then what?”…response…”well we could refund you or you could figure something else out…we are busy today.”…strike three! REFUND MY MONEY AND I WILL BE SHOPPING ELSEWHERE! Fill out survey and express same. We have shopped at Weis for 30 years…and have been using delivery since it has started…recently each order has gotten progressively worse…rotten produce, dairy items near expiration date, stale baked goods…we are done! And those of you who truly know me, when I am done with a place, I AM DONE! Guess we will be trying Instacart next grocery order at a new store. If I could give this ZERO stars I would.

First supermarket I’ve ever been to without a full service deli. Waste of time, I couldn’t find what I wanted and what was pre sliced was cut way to thick and who knows when it was sliced.

Friendly staff, but i do most of my shopping in Greentown or Honesdale because the price for groceries at this Weis are higher....mainly because they have no competion in the area.

My only complaint is that there isn't a meat counter. They pre-package all lunch meat. Other than that, they have a good variety of things and prices are reasonable.

I’ve bought a lot of groceries there. It’s ok. I’m tired of seeing cashiers standing around playing catch up front while I’m forced to use self checkout. I now also will not buy anymore meat there. I’ve gotten chicken that’s rubbery for the last time . What’s up with that? It’s rubbery even before cooking it. What a waste of money . I wish shop rite would move closer.

Love shopping in this store for my groceries. Extremely helpful staff and very friendly cashiers. Reasonably priced. Love the 5.00 Wednesday Sushi special. Fresh produce is great. Crabcakes in the Seafood dept. Are The Best!!!!!!! New to Lake Ariel so I appreciate a good grocery store! Keep up the great job! 👍

Nasty people I mean really nasty people ….. no help with anything …. So over priced every item is at least two to three dollars more per item than anywhere else …. Do your self a favor shop somewhere else ….. anywhere else save your money ….. don’t feed that greedy monster ….. what a ripoff

Most employees did not seem to enjoy working here. Selection is as expected: ok. Definitely go to farmers markets and roadside stands for fresh produce.Also, still using plastic bags and no beer or wine.

Prices are not marked right may times. The deli has been closed for 3 years now. Digital coupons for me are very difficult to use but that's the advertising price. If you can't do the Digital thing you are out of luck. After 7:00 there are not clerks to ring you up. You have to use self check out. Many products are not available. I used them for many years because of how close they are to my home. I tried another store a few days ago and I was very pleased with more products to choose from and prices were better.

As of tonight I will never shop in Weis ever again! I spent tons of money every other day, and was stopped because of a Glitch (perhaps) I will be contacting Jonathan Weiss! And explain how his employees do nothing!! Never any lunch meat, most employees stand around up the front, usually at night. The supervisor of this store should make an appearance at night 🌉 And don't give me the oh I'm sorry!!

Surprisingly good store, better than I expected. Very clean, well stocked store. Prices seemed kind of high, but what can you do these days. Good pharmacy section with prices that best CVS or Rite Aid down the road. Opens at 7am in case you need something early on the day. Parking lot has extra wide spaces which is also great. Most checkout aisles are self-serve. I feel like only one or two had an actual cashier.

Weis market in Hamlin I don't shop very often. I shop Weis Carbondale more frequently. The Hamlin store has adequate parking. The store is laid out in much the same manner as I have found in other stores. Somehow it appears that Hamlin has a wider selection of goods than the other Weis stores, but this could be the way it's presented. I like Weis markets regardless and recommend them to my friends and family

No fresh sliced cold cuts. EVERYTHING is presliced in the deli. Sometimes you get meat or cheese sliced nice and thin and other times you get like ham steaks depending on who sliced it and when. How ridiculous to slice 100 different meats and cheeses days in advance with no consistency. I can't imagine the waste. Staff is friendly so they get 2 stars. The only time I go here is when it's convenient otherwise I take double the drive to shoprite

Pretty good store for being in the middle of a rural area. Nice selection of fresh produce. Always has some fancy cakes and flowers; plants right near the door. Wide variety of pre-sliced deli meats and cheeses. In-store pharmacy means you can get personal care items like adult diapers and plenty of gadgets like test kits for lyme disease, pill-minders, reading glasses, etc. By the way, the pharmacy technicians and all the staff are super nice!
