I walked around this store for an hour and loved it! Huge selection, nice lumber and any hardware you could ever need. A little pricey at times, but you know what you're getting, and you know it's good.

Great place to find almost everything you need around the house. They have Carhartt, Stihl power equipment, tools, hardware, gifts, lumber, plumbing and electrical stuff. A little pricy but they have everything.

We stopped by for plumbing tools and an outlet timer for my kitchen window lights. Wow so much more!!! Husband out lojac on me because I got lost wandering looking at all the home decor (cabin ✔️, pet✔️, and more). Lots of canning supplies and other home goods, nice variety of pet treats and toys (will need to find pill pockets) and yes a nice selection of outlet timers. These work well for indoor holiday lights or even lamps. There were around aisle 21 if you are looking for them.

I will never bring anything there for repairs after receiving a hugebill today for repairs to my chain saw. The parts replaced wereinexpensive but the labor was 40 dollars. I have been buyingfrom this store for over 30 years only because of their locationthat is in close proximity to my home. I believe almost everythingwithin their doors is overpriced. Claiming all employees arepleasant in Shaffer's is an overstatement by the innocent.

I will never go there again!!! I am a local contractor in the area that spent a lot of money each year with them and my trip today was A Horrible Experience. Went to buy deck boards and they told me I needed to buy the warped , Bent , Cracked ones on top as there was a brand new pile That they would not open for me so I’m sure the homeowner would of loved that. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I visit the store often, the inventory is excellent. But I have noticed a change in the attitude of the counter people since the lumber portion of business was added. No smiles, no greetings and no small talk. It's almost like they don't want to be there. They are hard to engage and makes for a less pleasant shopping experience.

Super cool hardware store. This place is in the middle of nowhere, if you live in the city but to those on the outskirts, it seems to be well-known. We were able to find everything we wanted and spent quite a bunch of time in the tool section, noticing many Milwaukee tools we do not see at Home Depot. We are also able to find quite a few unique cuts of wood that we were able to purchase by the linear foot.Check it out, pretty unique and reminds me of a well stocked, private hardware store!!

This store I visited today, after 10 plus years. Has everything you need, prices are very competitive. Sales help is very good. Was helped in the paint section today. She was fantastic and very knowledgeable.

I'm blown away by how much variety this place has! Also the amount of staff throughout the store who are actually willing to assist. They just need a refresh at the front of the store with maybe another checkout. Prices need to come down just a few percent to get me to be less inclined to buy on Amazon. I must say they are getting more of my business as they are just so pleasant in there.

it's a great hardware store, it's very large has plenty of stock in Hardware materials. A great tool selection. And they have a good selection of housewares and knick-knacks. Has a good power equipment selection and something they just recently added is their own lumber yard. Check them out you won't regret it.

Class act!Dave and Nancy took good care of me.We had a problem with Cabot solid stain not matching the color chips they provided and formulas. And they worked with me for a couple of hours to find an alternative brand which we did, and they took time to get on the phone with the manufacturer and make sure it was okay to go over the Cabot brand with it which it is. They were very apologetic even though it wasn't their fault they followed the formulas provided by Cabot.I won't go anywhere else from here on in! That's how a business should be run!

My grinder pump stopped and had to do bacterial cleanup. Rep Scott was very helpful, advised what was best. Said some of their cleaners would work but industrial germicidal bleach just as good and less expensive. Got my bleach, bucket, scrub broom for $30 and done in less than an hour. Love that place...

Great store they have everything you may need from oil for your car to toilet paper. They can cut glass if you need to replace a odd ball window. And the employees are great

A disappointment! On four different occasions I went for electrical switches and they are still not in stock. There are other issues with out of stocks I have experienced, and it doesn't improve. We are asked to support local businesses but one trip to Loews or Home Depot and you can get what you need.

I asked for help from an employee because i couldnt find something in the hardware aisle. I told her what it was and i was told to go look again in the hardware aisle. I said i already looked and couldnt find it. She told me again i had to look in hardware. So i told her again i didnt know where it was and asked her to show me where. She ended up not showing me. She wanted to stand there and talk to another employee instead. Everytime i go in this store i leave disappointed. Also prices are high for low quality items and on multiple occasions the price on the shelf didnt match the price at the register. Selection is very limited and they are out of lots of items and dont restock very often. To save myself the frustration im going to just drive the extra few minutes and go to ace instead.
