I don't have enough nice things to say about Dr. Davis and the rest of the staff members at Hamburg Animal Hospital. My experience comes from the care given to my 18 year old cat, Dante, for the last 7-8 years. My cat was very scared of people and would hiss when at the vet, but was not typically aggressive with her claws/biting. Dr. Davis was always gentle and calm in her approach with my cat, and while cautious, never seemed apprehensive to touch or provide care to her. Dante had a few chronic conditions for which she took medication, and Dr. Davis was always thorough in explaining the disease process and treatment options. I felt that her recommendations were always in the best interest of Dante, even when it meant a less aggressive approach to treatment. Dr. Davis always gave me great advice, was patient with answering my questions, and gave me many recommendations for how to more easily give pills and assist with treating Dante's conditions.All of the staff members here are polite and courteous, and also eager to help and flexible with scheduling both for appointments and with picking up medication/food. I always felt welcome, even when I could tell they were very busy.Dante was with me her whole life, and my whole life as well--I was her primary caretaker from the time I was 17 years old, and throughout Dante's entire 18 years. She was very important to me and I was heartbroken by her passing. In the end, it was Dr. Davis's compassion after hours which pointed me in the right direction for how to best care for Dante in her final hours. As a result, Dante was able to pass peacefully in my arms. A few days later, I received a card in the mail expressing their condolences at her passing. I will be forever grateful for Dr. Davis and her staff for how they treated Dante over the years, and up until the end of her life.I could not recommend this practice more.

Dr is great & staff is Very helpful. I was taking my older cat there & Now have 2 new kitties. She is so nice & gently with them all. They said my simba was such a sweet good kitty. He had an In grown toe nail & it got infected! So he got shots & nails trimmed. I so Love them there 😍

I called this vet because my vet could not get my dog in anytime soon they were booked. What a God sent. They took my dog Trinkette at the last minute, being a new patient. The staff and Dr,. Bonnie were amazing! This office cared so much for my dog coughing. . We were there over an hour. Dr Bonnie did not rush us at all. I never met a doctor like her. She is the most caring understanding and professional doctor I ever meet❤️ I never thought about changing offices. Until now. My little Trinkette couldn't be in better hands!Tanya and Trinkette

Got the same story as others have on here. Called to see if they are accepting new patients. Reception seemed to pre-judge a customer and couldn't even set expectations on cost properly, as if they've never gotten an obvious question. I was recommended from a mutual friend due to the cost they had paid for a surgery done. I used to live in that area and had no problem driving there for the cost I learned of (if the customer service was existent). I was turned down, simply being told they are not expecting new patients. Good one...

I call and explain that I’m looking for a new vet. They tell me they’re more than willing to help. I give them details about my American Staffie’s issues, talk about availability and that I’m very open, which she follows with that she needs to discuss with the doctor first and call me back. Which I thought was fair.Upon calling me back, they tell me they aren’t accepting new patients at this time. Which is obviously a lie considering they were more than willing to help me before they knew she’s a pit with a possible kidney issue.Don’t lie to me and tell me you’re not accepting new patients. Tell the truth. Can only wonder what you’re telling your customers about their pets.

Hamburg Animal Hospital is the best they took absolutely wonderful care of my dog Franny she was a rescue and Dr Davis and her team took wonderful care of her all the way to the end. Franny was a wonderful dog and loved by everyone.

I brought a cat which was apparently dumped near my house here. The Vet and the staff were very friendly and compassionate.We had to make the difficult decision to put the little guy to sleep and everyone was very patient and kind and let us make the decision ourselves.Thanks to everyone at Hamburg Animal Hospital for your care and support.

Excellent practice that truly cares about animals. I found a stray cat that was in need of medical attention. They were quick and made an appointment same day. Would recommend this vet for sure!

Dr Davis and her staff are the most caring yet proffessional people we know and very good at what they do. Dr Davis is always truthful and is very knowledgeable and yet compassionate. Dr. Davis is an absolutely incredible professional. She treats every patient and pet owner like they are the most important consult that she is dealing with. For some reason, every animal that meets her immediately becomes her best friend. Her love of animals becomes instantly transparent. As long she is a practicing veterinary, I'll never take an pet to anyone else.

Dr Davis always helps us with our boston terriers and always gets us in right away when needed and always seems to know what is going on and getting our dogs.better. I would not.go anywhere else and highly recommend

I've taken some time to really process what to say here. Long story short, our older cat was getting sick and losing a lot of weight. At first we were told it was a thyroid issue, and only "these medicines" would help him. We were accused of neglecting him, not feeding him. The communication around him was inconsistent and unprofessional (on their part). After seeing a new vet this week, we were not only told there were other options for medicine, but that our cat has lung cancer. Cancer to the stage of no return. The thyroid issue was masking the cancer. While I do not blame the clinic for his illness, I disagree with how clients are treated. No one takes their child to a doctor who has only money and self-righteousness goals, opinions, and actions. With what time we have left with our baby, I hope Bonnie reads this and takes a humble approach to her practice with animals and their caregivers.

Dr. Davis has taken care of 3 dogs for us and 2 cats. She cares about each animal and wants the best for them. She shows compassion and kindness with all of our animals. She is very knowledgeable but when different expert care such as eye surgery is needed she makes appropriate recommendations.

Ok I’m new to this vet experience but you’re telling me weighing my dog on a scale and feeding him some treats is a exam and then charge me almost $80 just for that?!? I know vets can be expensive but seriously that’s bit ridiculous to not even pay much attention to our dog or even do much of “examining”. Like I will take my dog somewhere else because he deserves so much more!

I would give negative stars if I could! What a horrible experience! Dr. Davis is condescending, entitled and rude! CLEARLY, while obtaining her degree they didn’t teach her proper professional communication and manners. — My mom took our dog in and all she did was judge my mom on why pitbulls are a bad breed, that he needs training, that he should wear a muzzle and to be “aware of their reputation.” She asked my mom questions like: is he aggressive, does he get along with other dogs and children. All because my mom had a small bruise on her arm which WASN’T EVEN FROM THE DOG. So many questions NOT related to the allergy he had on his paws which is what she went in for. She told my mom to be quiet all because she wanted to ask a question. WTF?!No one at this facility lives in the house to know how well taken care of and absolutely spoiled our dog is. He always plays well with other dogs and our neighbor’s daughter who is 3, loves him. (She always walks over to pet him and play when he is outside.) She treated my mom so poorly. She has no idea how he is raised to be such a judgmental jerk. All because of what she has “heard” or “their reputation.”Definitely NOT a dog person. Everyone we have spoken to who has tried this facility, had similar stories about her atrocious and judgmental attitude. She is definitely a cat vet and/or only likes small dogs. Take your business elsewhere. She isn’t worth a single second. Go to a place thats going to treat you and your dog properly and not to such a horrid and miserable person.

Would give negative stars if I could! What a horrible experience! Condescending and rude! Definitely NOT a dog person and in fact, after our horrible visit, everyone we spoke to who had tried using her had similar stories about her bad attitude and being a 'cat vet' and 'not liking dogs'. There are way too many veterinarians in the area to have to deal with such a horrid person.
