We drove up route 19 to see the solar eclipse. It was getting late when we rolled up on Shirley's. The parking lot was full of cars, and everyone was out looking at the eclipse, which was just starting. So we stopped in and got some great ice cream as a watched the full eclipse.Thanks to the owners for being accommodating!

I'm visiting from out of state. I enjoy sitting outside waiting on my food. The food is good at good prices compared to fast food franchises.The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because sometimes the food looks like it was just thrown together, sloppy, depending on who's cooking.

Last night, after ordering and paying for our food, my husband, who is a volunteer fireman, received notice his dept was called out to assist at a fire in Mercer. I told the girl at the window we had to go, be back later for dinner and we immediately left for the call. After a little over 2 hours we returned and yes, they had saved our order, now cold. I asked if they could microwave for us. Once the young lady told the ladies cooking our situation they ALL insisted on making us a fresh order of food. With great thanks to Shirley's for caring for our volunteer firemen. This simple gesture of kindness meant a lot to a hungry, thirsty fireman!! God Bless!!

I usually get ice cream when we stop here, but I have gotten burgers and fries as well. The food, ice cream, and prices are always pretty good! I would call ahead if you want food because they are VERY busy Almost every time we stop. Way Better food and Ice Cream then the fast food chains.

I love this place in a pinch if I don't feel like cooking or it's just to hot in the house to cook and still want to eat. The food isn't bad depending on what you like and what you could possibly be in the mood for they really have a little of everything. There are lots of items to chose from. The prices are very reasonable and you get quite a bit of food for the price as well. Can't remember a time that one way or another I have been pleasantlysurprised a couple different times.

I have been coming here for years, but the 2022 season has been disappointing. They never have hot fudge cake, then one night the girl said they did. I was so excited then disappointed. She gave me brownie instead. I would have ordered something else. Maybe I will try to again next year. Going to try some ice cream in greenville area for rest of the season.

Best spot near camp! Love it here, been coming for YEARS! Just don't get the "cheese" fries. They melt a slice of American on your fries. Other than that..love this place! I also do not recommend the gyro. Lol it's like a pizza shop gyro..what do u expect from a 12x12 little hut though.. Anyway, stop by for ice cream if your ever passing and u will not be disappointed! Cash only, so make note of that.

Quick, friendly service; lots of choices; really good food at very reasonable prices. Check out the menu on facebook before you get there. So far, I really liked their sloppy Joes, fried clams, fried chicken, and onion rings.My favorite dessert at Shirley's is the banana Nutter Butter Arctic Swirl; it's just as good as it sounds.What's more, you can't help but have a scenic drive on your way to Shirley's.

Stopped here for a small snack while traveling through... boy was I glad I did. The funnel cake fries were delicious and nicely priced as was my hubby's monster mint milk shake. Next time we're passing through this will be on our to visit list and we'll try more things!

Kids loved the ice cream. I ordered food which took awhile to make I suppose. All in all not a bad experience. But come for the ice cream not so much the food.

Well went to go get food and ice cream I went and ordered chicken tenders they gave me 3 piece chicken basket was really over cooked told them they gave me the wrong item told me I'd have to pay to get the chicken tenders I originally wanted . The ice cream is ok but I've had better. I just wasn't very happy with the experience I had today don't think 😕I'll be back anytime soon.

Hidden gem. We were on our way to Erie looking for a place to eat. When I saw a "Twin Kiss" was nearby I had to go as I have great memories of going to other Twin Kiss locations in 1980s and 90s. This stand makes great home-style burgers. Family of 5 ate and 4 of us got ice cream afterwards and it cost me less than $30 total before I put a few dollars in their tip jar.

Been going to Shirley's as long as I can remember. Great service, good food, best ice cream/only ice cream in the area. If your traveling route 19 definitely stop at Shirley's.
