I went yesterday to get my septum pierced by Kate and can't say great enough this about her! Shop is very clean. She answered all of the questions that I had and walked me through the entire process before starting, the piercing itself was also fairly priced. They have a large variety of jewelry to chose from as well. If I need another piercing in the future I fully plan on coming back to Mantis. Thanks Kate!

I went somewhere else for a nose piercing and I got a nasty bump. Called Coyote and they fit me in the day of to switch my jewelry and gave such great advice on how to help the infection. It's already healing way better with the new stud. Would suggest 100% and for future piercings ill be going to Mantis!

I came in for two tiny tattoos. Melanie and Natalie treated me the same way as someone getting a full sleeve.There were several emails about what I wanted, so Melanie was ready when I got there. My tattoos are exactly what I wanted. Natalie answered all my questions and gave me good aftercare instructions.The shop is clean and uses good sanitation practices. Really great experience with Coyote getting my first nose piercing. The place itself is really clean and nicely decorated, very cozy and comfortable place to be. Coyote was informative and kind, made sure I understood everything that was going on and how the whole process worked. Piercing itself was quick and relatively painless, and the jewelry is very high quality. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place if you want a good piercing!

I called in 10 minutes before they closed because I lost my septum ring and didn’t want the hole to close, he gladly let me come by and was nice about everything!! Even gave me my new septum ring for free, he said “Merry Christmas”. Went in for a tattoo and the first thing I noticed was the atmosphere. Amazing art everywhere and most of it was created by the owner and artists, partitions made of upcycled doors, etc. The kind of atmosphere that puts you at ease if you’re neurospicy. Then I sat for my tattoo with Hale and they were absolutely amazing. My last tattoo was twenty years ago, so things have changed a little. We chatted about pets and DnD and next thing I knew, I was done. Have I mentioned that they were awesome? Took my daughter to get her eyebrow pierced. The resident piercer, “Coyote Black”, was absolutely professional, sanitary, and extremely knowledgeable and versed in his trade. Took my 17yo for a piercing while on a family visit to the area and Coyote walked her though the process and provided excellent education about after care and piercing in general. I cannot say enough good things about Mantis. I live on the opposite side of the state, and would rather make the 3 hour drive to see Mel than have anyone local tattoo me. In the 15± years I've been visiting Mantis, she has done several original pieces as well as fixing old terrible ones done by other people. She is a delightful person and the gentlest tattoo artist around. It's been wonderful seeing the shop grow and move to a new bright beautiful location!Staff is knowledgeable and friendly, every time I visit for new ink I have a great time. The shop is clean and colorful and filled with unique artwork and talented artists. Also, the piercing crew (Coyote & Kate) is pretty stellar- they really REALLY know their stuff and can hook you up with really cool custom jewelry.I love Mantis Tattoo and look forward to evwry visit there!

As soon I walked in, the first thing I noticed was how clean the studio smelled. (Even through my mask I could smell cleanliness.) Then when we spoke with Kate, our piercer, she was very honest and open about our concerns and even talked my sister out of getting both ears pierced out of concern for any discomfort she might have while sleeping. (She said if she really likes her piercing she can always come back and get the other when it's comfortable to sleep on that ear.) Kate also talks to you through each step of the procedure, and lets you know exactly what tools she is using at that moment and lets you know exactly when the needle will be involved. All her tools are clean, and you can clearly see them being set up. She also very clearly explained the aftercare procedure and made sure we understood it. I am new to the area and wanted to find a new piercer! Kate was super sweet and very informative as she went through the process. She gave me great aftercare tips and recommended me to a network of piercers that can help me if/when I am out of the area. The jewelry is super pretty, too. It’s nice to have normal ear piercings again!
