I was able to get a same day appointment for my 7 month old puppy who was showing signs of Lyme's disease. Dr. Prinkey and all of the staff were so kind and helpful. They are extremely transparent about pricing and overall costs. I was expecting to pay a lot more for a new, same day pet appointment than what I did. My pup did test positive for lymes but I was able to get an antibiotic prescription and new flea, tick & worm medication that day.

I've been a patient mommy of Banfield for over 15 years and I wouldn't change it for any other Pet Hospital. I travel almost 2 hours to the closest Banfield to me, to take my pet for all his medical needs. People say I'm crazy to travel that far. My Capone is worth it, because I know he's getting the best Care. Been through three different states n have not had a bad experience with any Banfield Pet Hospital... I highly recommend it...

They seemed to genuinely care about my cat, of course you want your animals treated as you would treat them, and I feel they do that here, a little pricey, but it is a vet, what isn't pricey in today's age, ,but I think my cat got quality care, and that's most important

Brother took his cat in for possible allergies. Wasn't allowed to be with his pet in exam room. Way too expensive. $400 for cone and medication. Had to take him for revisit. Went across the street to Greensburg Vet. They fixed the problem for $100.

We are so grateful to the Banfield staff for taking such good care of our baby girl!! Dr. Prinkey and Aubrey especially are so wonderdul with our pup. Out dog has anxiety and they work with her and are so kind and patient with her. We love you Banfield!!

I have to get this out there and it is likely more a product of the greedy world we live in than anything. We are Optimum Wellness Plan holders with Banfield for our dog Rani and have been for 5 years. Pay almost $70 a month ($800 a year or more so we can hope to save when something big comes along) and usually take her in once or twice a year (annual teeth cleaning and a check up). She is in for her cleaning as we speak and they call us to let us know she has some bad teeth that need extracted. Mind you, she's already under anesthesia and is on the table for the teeth cleaning (which to my understanding is usually the priciest part). On a previous tooth extraction at another clinic for another family dog, we paid $850 for one tooth but it was itemized and the anesthesia and cleaning was $550 of the total. The actual tooth extraction was merely $50. Banfield calls us and puts us on the spot in the moment of her cleaning and hits us with $1500 to pull 3 teeth for our dog that is already under and in a procedure. I honestly don't care if they price or line-item things differently from vet to vet. That's outrageous and exploitative for a vet to approach their practice that way. My thought is that they are trying to recoup money on OWP users because they lose money on the teeth cleaning. If someone walked in for an extraction for their dog and had to pay for the entire procedure, no way they are charging them over $2000 to pull 3 teeth. And if they are, that is insane. Most families live paycheck to paycheck and now you can't even afford to have a pet because it costs as much as a child to keep them safe and alive. I used to be able to take care of my dog (in the 90's and 2000's) for a couple hundred bucks a year and we got way more done for them annually. This is crazy and Banfield needs to reevaluate. Be careful going their for larger procedures because they want to hit that account hard.Side note: the staff and vets are nice and this is a corporate owned brand so it's likely not their choice on pricing. Still doesn't make it any more reasonable.

I took both of my dogs here for years. 12 to be exact. We relocated to Wisconsin and I took them to get all their check ups before we moved. They said lab results looked great but I took her to a new vet they saw those lab results right away and they were definitely not great. Shame on you Banfield. Had we caught it sooner we could have started her on treatments to reduce the size giving us more time with her. The thyroid tumor expanded to the trachea and affected the larynx she had such a hard time breathing. I was told I had maybe 1 to 2 weeks left with her. We had to put her down this past Tuesday. She was 13 1/2 years old. I realize that is a long life for my girl, but she didn’t have to die like that. Not over something that could have been caught sooner, giving her the chance to enjoy her meals. She couldn’t bark anymore. She couldn’t catch her breath. I didn’t want her to suffocate. I’ll never recommend this company to anyone.

I have three pups that I take here and I can tell you the staff really does care about my babies. We have two older ones and they have taken great care for both if them. And our puppy I took there since she was 7 weeks old and they all fell in love with her. They really care about the health and well-being of your 4 legged buddies. I know nobody is perfect but this place is pretty close.

This is by far the worst possible place to take your pet. They just want your money and none of them know what they are talking about when it comes to the actual care of your pet. When we had gotten our puppy we started taking him here. They talked us into getting the optimum wellness plan which was a terrible mistake. Any time we have taken our pet for a problem or even just a checkup they have found a problem with him. They are always telling us that we need to put him on some type of medication. At a point in time they had my dog on at least 4 medications at a time, when the only problem he had was allergies to food but they didn’t even address that problem they just decided to give him a bunch of medication. I would highly suggest finding another vet.

They can be very busy at times but everyone there tries their best to keep our pets healthy and safe. Usually very easy to get and appointment within a week to days of calling. We have been with them for over a decade and have no regrets. Dr. Pontillo and Rachel are 2 of my absolute favorite people there and both have been there for a long time.

Cost of pet care plans is more than advertised! Sounds like it will continue to be more than advertised. Everything seems to have extra charges. Internet claimed 1st visit is 119$ it was 175$. There are multiple vets at this location but the one I spoke with today was pretty awful to talk to. Started by saying “do you know about shih tzus health problems” super negative and not friendly. Considering they list it on the wall as the 4th most common pet I think she’s be better about caring for them without complaining about the breed . Also make sure your small dogs are on a leash even if your holding them . I really hope I never get paired with that vet again! Stuck in the plan for year at least. They got a 2 b star because the two girls who checked me in We’re super nice. Other wise just a bad experience !

If you care about your pet do not take them here!!! They only care about money and not your pets healthcare. Plus, Banfield's customer service department is a joke. I contacted customer service to change card info for wellness plan and they are still charging the card I don't use. Now I have to go through dealing with them again 🙄 Worst Vet care and customer service I ever had! They are all incompetent.

The staff are very caring and kind to my dog. They really pay extra special attention to his needs. I like that. My dog isn't just another number. He's been in for belly button surgery, for a chip of paint In his eye, caused by. gnawing on the front door jamb from anxiety. To help him lose weight, they showed how to lose weight and calorie intake per day. They broke it down with precision. I feel comfortable with people I can trust my dogs life in their hands.

Our 12 yo greyhound had declined rapidly this week. They had an appointment within 24 hours to send her to Rainbow Bridge. The staff was kind, careful with her and us, and professional. The cost was very reasonable as well.

My son's dog became very sick and unfortunately needed euthanized. The doctor and staff were wonderful. After we picked up the dog's ashes we received a handwritten personalized card in the mail with a note from each employee and a very long letter from the doctor telling us how much Bella was loved and that it was unfortunate that we were unable to save her. They were incredible with the grieving process at the office the customer service was outstanding and the doctor was very understanding. She even cried with us.

Took both my pets they’re,signed up for their wellness care program spent almost $2000 had her teeth cleaned they did do a great job . When I called again to get an appointment for one of my dogs I told them my dog wasn’t feeling well they told me I had to pay $650 and I said why you haven’t even seen my dog she’s just not feeling good. I want to bring her in to have her looked at well that’s our policy. I did ask to speak to a manager but she was busy could not speak with me but would call me back I’ve never heard from her. When I first signed up there was another couple in there complaining about how they felt they got ripped off I should have listened to them and left, my question to the manager would have been how can you tell somebody it will be $650 when they haven’t even looked at your dog,it’s an over the phone call all I said,my dog not feeling well. And my year isn’t even up on the wellness program , I feel I was taken advantage of.

Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable! They went above and beyond to figure out why my puppy was having diarrhea. They ran all test to make sure everything was fine. I also recommend signing up for the wellness plan. For all the test they ran it would of cost me close to 400 dollars but with the plan I only payed 150 which is really good considering all the tests they ran. The vet tech Mazzy was amazing! Answered all of my questions, was knowledgeable and tried her best to save me money. I will be coming back here from now on

Dr. Pontillo lied to us about our cat's condition to sell a wellness plan. We were told that our kitten had "juvenile periodontal disease" although she could not identify the tooth that "was hanging by a thread" was a baby tooth, said only a specialist could say for sure. Said our kitten would need to be sedated twice yearly to undergo deep dental cleanings that would be very costly unless we signed up for a plan and of course, only had 24 hours to make the decision or we would not have the cost of that day's visit be covered under the plan. My young daughter had to go get a job to pay the 40 dollars a month that it cost. Two vets since that time literally laughed at the diagnosis and said it was the most ridiculous thing they had heard. One vet was actually very angry and cursed out loud at how terribly they took advantage of us being new cat owners and wanting to do the best by our new kitten. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PEOPLE THERE!! Should be ashamed, but of course, they're not.

Love the vet assistant and the vet Dr collyer she is super informative and pleasant. Only reason for 4 stats is because the receptionist was a very unhappy girl that didn't smile or make eye contact with me on my first time with my new puppy, she didn't make me feel very comfortable and welcome there. They should have new puppy or new customer welcome kits or be a lite more friendly
