I walked in and immediately was judged for wearing a dog collar. I feel i should be able to express myself wearing whatever makes me happy and confident. But thats not the worst of it. The receptionist tried to drag me inti the bag and spay me because she said if i look like a dog i should be treated like one. The left the door wide open during my dog procedure, i wouldn’t complain about gettin spayed normally but this female dog * starts tweaking from ptsd* didn’t give me any meds. I also saw dirty stains everywhere. 10/10 do not recommend

Great people. Very caring with my newly adopted dog. I brought her for a tooth extraction because another vet said it was infected, and it seemed to be, but when they got in there, they found the tooth was solid and just cleaned and polished them. Her teeth look great now. I like that they didn't do an unnecessary extraction.

The staff is great, friendly, and knowledgeable! They've helped so much with my sick kitten we found as a stray. The vet is not at all rude like some of the reviews say. He's short, sweet, to the point, no bs - but he is still very knowledgeable and friendly towards the animals and customers. Visits have been super affordable too. I couldn't recommend this place more!

The receptionist (may be a vet tech) was very friendly and helpful. She went over everything with us when we scheduled and answered any questions the day of. When we asked about getting another cat looked at, she went over that pricing and what to expect. Over all a friendly, helpful atmosphere. They took care of my baby (boy cat we found outside) got him fixed and checked him over like we asked. They easily could have said he needed extra things but was honest and said his ears were just dirty!

This is not our regular vet, however they were able to fit us in on a Saturday. Our vet is not open on Saturday and no one else would take us. Wonderful people and offered excellent advice for our sick dogs. In and out no wasted time. I feel lucky to have found them and will always be grateful for helping our pups.

I went back and forth on giving five stars but ultimately gave it to help offset one star reviews that didn't like his bed side manner. Dr Sleva/Plum's english might be a little rough but I'm sure it's better than most American's polish. The guy is professional and gets to the point quickly. You might have to repeat yourself to ensure he's heard all your concerns but their schedule is usually pretty easy to work with, their prices are great and his staff are all professionals. To be clear: I've been using these folks for over 20 years, started with ferrets and now dogs.

Amazing staff, they are honest and caring when it comes to people's pets. When my little pup had to get surgery, they had very reasonable prices than any other vet office. They walked us through the whole process and when they did do the surgery, they were so gentle with him. These workers don't work for the money, they work for our pets and they treat them like family. I live about an hour away from this place, and it is definitely worth the drive for the service and care they provide!#very accommodating#very caring

This vet is an extremely educated man in both rural and domestic animals!! I've known him personally for over 30 years and if you want someone to know what is going on with your pets, this is the vet!!!!!!!

The reseptionist was very sensitive to my emotions and nervousness about my 3 month old kitten getting spayed. She answered all my questions with compassion and understanding. She said I could call anytime with as many questions I had, and she'd be happy to answer them. The fact that she was relatable to my feelings and was compassionate showed me that my Lyric was in a safe and well intentioned hospital.

The absolute WORST vet I have ever experienced. The doctor is incompetent and cannot deal with any type of larger breed. The place is absolutely disgusting with blood on the floor. It looks like a hole in the wall dirty basement. If I could give 0 stars I would. Nobody should have to leave a vet appointment feeling like their dog was mistreated.

Called because my dog was severely sick and I was crying and I asked if I could get her in for emergency visit and they told me they were booked up to three months which I can understand but the lady that I talked to was very rude and hung up on me. Definitely had an attitude and under the circumstances she could’ve been a hell of a lot nicer I will never bring any of my pets here just for that if someone is calling you bawling because their animal is sick the last thing you should do is be extremely rude

Our Chocolate labs back legs went out on him. We had him at our regular vet the previous week when we noticed him panting heavily and favoring his back right leg. They gave him pain medicine and an anti-inflammatory. When my wife got home he was dragging his back legs. Called a few places and no one would see him until I called here. They told me to bring him right in. Our poor baby has a ruptured disc in his back and is taking steroids for the next two weeks to avoid surgery. Dr was very upfront and honest with us. Listen, it cost us $200 for the visit but $200 is chump change compared to the cost of an emergency clinic. We got the care we needed and were treated with the utmost respect. Highly recommend this Dr

We drive 1 hour to see the Vet and staff. We have been doing it for 19 years and last 4 dogs. He is spot on and gives our dogs the best care and if specialist needed recommendations. He saved Bo from cancer to live to 15 years old.

Dr. Sliwa is very knowledgeable and his staff is very good. As others have said, he is straight to the point and fair. I will be at a loss for my cats when he eventually retires. Can't recommend these guys enough. I have a feeling that the poor reviews here may have unreasonably high expectations...

Took a puppy we recently rescued here to get spay(as per contract through rescue). The puppy would be our 4th and her incision for a spay was the largest I’ve ever seen. When my fiancé went to pick up our puppy over 7 hours later, she was told our puppy isn’t ready yet. While waiting for our dog, she also was able to witness an operation on another animal while sitting in the waiting area. I’ve dealt with numerous vets and NEVER had a situation like that. When our dog was finally released we got records that weren’t filled out right, and the vet didn’t sign ANY paperwork for a microchip or recent shots. Again NEVER experienced this with any other vet. We didn’t even bring our puppy home, we took her to our normal vet who was shocked in regards to the incision and sutures used. Our vet prescribed her pain medication because she was in tremendous pain... not ALL PETS. Our vet checked her over and signed the necessary paperwork... again not all pets. This veterinarian needs his license revoked, and this place needs shut down. My advice to everyone GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, if for some reason you have to take your pet here IMMEDIATELY go to another vet afterwards to have your pet double checked. Praying my puppy doesn’t get an infection or have any other problems from this guys work. My puppy is 3 months old and for a spay her incision was about 7-8 inches long.

I have been taking my dog here for the last 6 years. Only times I took her was for her shots. She’s now pushing 8, since end of July she’s been having issues. She was incontinet so he gave her incuran which helped tremendously. Then she developed a cough, and not eating, off balance, not herself. I took her a few days Ago to be seen, again, he gave her medince for the cough and B12 shot improve her appetite. Now, she’s no longer coughing, but her not eating continues, I have to carry her up and down stairs, so I called again today to tell them. 6 hours goes by so I called them. The Vet took the phone call, he told me he isn’t God, after I told him that she’s getting worse, and also maybe it’s just her brain. He said about more testing, I asked how much it would be since I was just there and have spent over $500 as it is, he said that he has to pay the dog companies and that my financial problems aren’t his concern, and maybe I should take her for a second opinion. That is exactly what I will do now. I wasn’t being rude, I was in tears when I called in the morning to tell them how she’s been getting worse and that there is something truly wrong with my dog, and when I was telling him the same thing when he called me. My dog is like my child and I don’t want to see her suffering, it’s a shame, and terrible feeling when you’re trying to get answers for them, and then hearing the vet speak to you the way he did. Please take your pets some place where they truly have your pets health at heart.

Very professional office and vet service. Dr. Sliwa is absolutely fantastic. He saved my dog after severe stroke and quickly diagnosed the Lyme disease. Dog recovered quickly and now 3 years latter I can still enjoy my 12 years old buddy company. Dr Sliva and his friendly staff are highly recommended!

Dr Sliwa is wonderful. He never gave up on my cat and when he couldn't figure out what was wrong with him he referred me to PVSEC. He saved my cats life and gave us a consult to the best internal vet in the world.

What a waste of time!!!! Took my dog to see them after she was having a problem with her legs! He said she has arthritis and we could try this medication on her 14 pills and charged me $89...I called to get a refill for her and they denied it saying we need to take blood and all this before we can give you a prescription so instead of saying this BEFOREHAND because I would have NEVER started her on it I had over the counter stuff that was helping her and according to them if I picked up the prescription to get filled elsewhere it was $5 NEVER ONCE said i was going to now have to come up with either $250 or she has to stop the medication!!!!! They are all about the money not much else!!!! Sad!!!!

We've been going to Dr. Sliwa for more than 20years. He's a sweet man who helped us with our animals countless times. When it comes to treating an animal he is a no nonsense Dr. who isn't afraid to tell you what is wrong and how to treat it. Likewise, he'll tell you when he thinks there's nothing that can be done. That might disturb some people but it's life. He's treating the animals...not poo-pooing humans.

I love this vet office I take my pet rats here and the care is top notch. Everyone is kind and caring. I highly recommend them for any of you furbabies.
