The manager at this location eased all of my worries. They are very attentive and well trained staff members. I had questions about the staff being trained on “social cues”. My pupper will never take it upon himself to rest, if there are other dogs playing, he will just keep going. I was worried that if I left him for long periods of time, he would over exert himself. After watching the cameras, I noticed a dog kept trying to hump and would not leave my dog alone. The staff intervened quickly and even separated the other dog from mine. I was happy and relieved to see that they pay attention. They pair dogs that play well together. Seeing my dog was kinda tired, they knew he would not like being jumped on by a high energy dog. They also do not accept dogs who have underlying behavioral issues which makes me feel at ease. My 100lb big baby does not have a mean/bite reaction he will just allow the other dog to take charge which is when I would step in and stick up for him. Thank you dog stop for giving us a safe place for our baby!!!

The staff at The Dog Stop Allison Park have been welcoming since day 1! They are extremely gentle and kind to my rescue pup who is sometimes nervous around new people. From the front desk team, to the back of house staff, and to grooming- this store is full of kind souls who have a clear love for dogs! I tend to be hesitant with my pup around new people/in new places because of her rough past, but I trust the Allison Park staff and truly believe my little girl is in good hands!

Has a reputation among local dog owners for being unsanitary and treating pups poorly. I took my dog here before I knew about this, and believe it or not, we had a negative experience too. Strongly advise against bringing your dog here - we'll never be back.

Absolutely one of, if not the best, daycare and boarding we've been to. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and outgoing. My dog loves going there. He's excited to see everyone. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend this Dog Stop.

We started taking our puppy to doggy daycare as soon as this location opened. Our dog LOVED going to daycare. Within a couple of weeks we noticed that there was one employee, in particular, that would tell us that our dog was aggressive. So, we worked with her on recall and redirection at home. Still, every time we went, this woman would tell us that she needs work and may result in her not being permitted there but we “weren’t there yet”. This employee even told us that she may have “punctured” another dog’s leg earlier in the week. I found it odd that they wouldn’t call me immediately after this incident that serious. However, every other employee would comment on her high energy but never gave us any indication that she was aggressive. So one day, after the same employee accepted her, both me and my husband watched the cameras. Some of what we saw included one particular dog chasing our puppy, lying on top of her and when she defended herself, they pulled her out. Upon pick up that day, we pulled her from the Dog Stop doggy daycare (and actually ALL of their services) and haven’t looked back. Luckily we only used doggy daycare out of convenience and not out of necessity.Since then we have gotten another puppy and there are no problems with any sort of aggression from either of them. The Dog Stop was definitely not for us!

Wanted so badly for this place to work. Unfortunately they are not willing to give dogs a chance or work with them at all. We initially took our puppy to the dog stop in the strip district and they never once complained about him. Then we moved and took him to this location and the woman who told me she was the manager was very rude when I picked him up. She said that he needed training on recall and that he tried to play with the mop and leashes they had. She said he was not aggressive but that they don’t have time there to watch every single dog. She went on to say they don’t do things there like they do in the Strip and the staff her is not that experienced. I was quite shocked and upset by how she spoke to me. We stopped taking him and signed him up for training with a local trainer. He has been around other dogs and people with no problems. So we recently figured we would try again. This time I made sure to watch the cameras. I did not see my dog until an after over an hr of being there. Then they put him in the puppy room. He was in there for approx fifteen minutes before they took him out and he was not seen again on camera for the next three hours. When we picked him up we were told he was not welcome there because he attacked the mop. Mind you I watched the camera and all the puppies jump on the staff and each other and were around the mops but only my dog was pulled out. He is a puppy not an adult dog so as puppies are they are curious and need reinforcement and encouragement. I mop at home and he leaves it be because I tell him to leave it which is a basic command. The staff there seems to want to walk around and the atmosphere seems to be catered towards dogs that aren’t as active. What upset me most is not that it didn’t work out. That is a disappointment as it would have been nice for him to have somewhere to be other than alone at home while we work. What is most upsetting is that they promote themselves on social media as being inclusive. I’ve gotten emails about how they will work with dogs who don’t do well in a traditional daycare environment and maybe want to be with people more or need training. I asked about the training before we got our own trainer and was told they don’t do training there at that location. They also have dogs they are fostering which is awesome. However, dogs that end up in foster are sometimes there because the owners have run out of options for care and if you are going to say you are trying to help animals you should be more willing to help dogs that already have homes too. Not everyone has family or friends to help them and need options for care when they go to work. I hope you improve how you treat owners and animals. I love my dog and know he’s not perfect but a little kindness and patience would go a long way to keep animals happy and safe with their families.

The Groomer Dawn R is fabulous!!! I recently brought my 4 dogs to be groomed. I couldn’t ask for a more professional, caring and gentle person to handle my dogs. She checked in with me during the whole process , even sent pictures. I knew my dogs were in great hands. When I picked them up their coats were shining, nails groomed smoothly and smelled great!! Thank you so much Dawn for making our experience wonderful. I highly recommend this place.

I haven’t had to board a dog for years, and was nervous leaving our pup for a few days. The staff at The Dog Stop quickly eased my nerves - They gave me a tour prior to booking, answered all of my questions. After the tour, I knew our pup would be happy here and I felt comfortable leaving her here! The facility is extremely clean, and the staff is friendly and always attentive. If I had questions while we were away, they would answer me in a timely manner (via text). I would definitely recommend The Dog Stop, and will use them again.

I can’t say enough good things about the dog stop!! I have two shar peis that are very shy and I have never boarded them before as they can be a challenge to handle. The dog stop went out of their way all week to make sure my girls would feel comfortable enough to stay over the weekend! The facility is sparkling clean, and their way of separating the dogs by style of play is so clever. The dogs always have access to the outdoors and fresh water. The dogs who are boarding get to play with the daycare dogs, free of charge!!!I could go on and on, this place is amazing and we will definitely be back. Madison, Maria, Taylor and everyone else- you’re amazing!! Thank you so much!

I took My Dog Bruno 7 months old there for a special for two weeks of puppy care upon opening. The people are friendly and very nice. They remember your name and dogs name. I continue to take Bruno there once a week he absolutely loves the playtime with other dogs. You can watch your dog at any time on cams. I would highly recommend The Dog Stop in Allison Park!

Went for the grand opening, and we were very impressed! Everyone we met was super Friendly.A very nice women gave us a tour. We LOVED the daycare set up. They have indoor/Outdoor section for your dog to play! We also liked how the dogs are linked up with similar age groups. The Boarding set up is very nice as well. Every dog gets its own caged in area, with a bed in it. We cant wait to bring our Dog here!

Scarlett has an amazing time at The Dog Stop Allison Park. She races towards the frong door each time because she can't wait to hang with her puppy friends. We had to board her for a weekend and the staff was so friendly and accommodating to Scarlett's needs. The staff welcome her like their own dog each time she comes in. I trust them with my puppy.

Our 2.5 year old 30 pound goldendoodle had a wonderful time. He is quite shy and quiet, but we loved watching the video cam to see what he was up to. We will definitely use this location again!
