Had the worst experience with Tracy. The moment she knew about my voucher from Hertz, she made me get 4 tires instead of one. I came in for 1 tire slow leak from a nail. In the end my slow leak never got fixed and they put on 2 tires and put 2 tires in my trunk for me to take somewhere else to put on. Waisted my time and voucher. Hertz wasn't pleased when I told them what had happened. Do not trust this location. All about a sale. Shame on you. How could you do this to me or anyone. I can imagine how many people she done this to. š”š”š”Taking advantage of vouchers is wrong!!!!!!

The two ladies at the front desk were friendly and knowledgeable about the products and service. The retail store is permanently closed, so they only have service and tires. They do oil change, replace tires and state inspections.

I've scheduled oil changes with them numerous times in the past, just to get a call stating that they "don't have time or enough staff on duty to perform the service". Last week, I tried getting air in my tires and I was denied service that would have taken less than 5 minutes. They even suggested that I go to Mavis tires. Well I did. Mavis tires happily put air in my tires and will continue getting my money for now on. Very disappointed with Pep Boys service staff.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! I went to have my alternator fixed. I already knew my alternator was the problem and knew they would want to do a diagnostic anyway. John called me and told me my problem was the alternator and they could replace it and I could have my car the same day. I paid $817.27 for a new alternator. When I went to pick up my car I told the woman at the register I was there for pick up and she asked my name and she told me what I owed and I paid. She handed me papers and a receipt and I left. My car stopped on the highway a few days later and I had to get it towed. My husband proceeded to go to the store to figure out what the diagnostic said because if they fixed the alternator why is my car not turning on? The woman that was at the cash register on 11/15/23 was the same woman that was there on 11/9/23 and laughed in my husbandās face and said he could talk to the manager because she told me to get my ac compressor fixed which she never said & none of the mechanics said that so $817.27 later and my car is sitting and unable to drive. Thanks pepboys.

Took my car for an oil change, a week later the check engine light and oil pressure light came on. Upon investigation, the oil tank was only half full. Took the car back and they tried to tell me there was an oil leak and to take it back to my dealer. My car is 2.5 years old and barely driven, and there was no āleakā before the oil change. $250 later the dealer tells me there is no leak and the wrong oil filter and O ring was installed causing the oil to come out.Iāve been a customer at this location for over 10 years and service has gotten progressively worse over the last few years, but this is the last straw. Due to Incompetent mechanics my engine could have been destroyed, and I narrowly avoided a major safety issue.

Nice staff. Easy to make appt. Bring your own parts. Didn't fully fix my soft brake pedal. It's just less soft. Maybe not their fault, maybe they're not experienced enough at that particular location. Who knows?

Tracy is the person I talked. I was here for state inspection, she said it will take only 10 min. I have waited for more than 2 hours. And finally I said I got to go, she saiid go, She doesnāt care.

Never ever again in this location, I replaced all 4 new tires with balance and alignment, i noticed the car shaking really bad when i drive on the Hwy above 60Mph i went back to this location to let them fix the problem, they took it to the back and check it out, then they get back to me after 10 minutes witch impossible!! And they said nothing wrong with the balance, i tried again to explain the problem then the lady who sold me those tires were such a rude lady, came to me while i was speaking to the other lady and the technician saying (you have your keys back so Thank you and have a good day) basically kicked me out!!I left so upset and disappointed from the way she responded, also i want to mention that they blamed me that I'm the one who choose those tires, and they mentioned that this car never made for speeding, while i was saying the car is shaking above 60mph on the highway!!!They don't even know how to balance the wheels or knowing that is the issue, no knowledge how to do a basic things like that!! So weird!!I took it to Pep boys West Chester location, they just rebalanced the tires and now the car drive like a brand new no balancing issue at all.I don't recommend this location at all, when you're buying they treat you well, when you have a problem the kick you out!!So unprofessional!!

On 9/27 I brought my Jeep in for a wheel alignment and left with a 900.00 problem. This Pep boys broke my push button. When I spoke with the Manager she stated that it is out of her hand and I would need to contact the corporate office being that they issues checks. When I contacted corporate office they stated that is a lie. They have nothing to do with putting in claims. The store will have to handle it in store. Whatever you do. DO NOT bring your car to this location. Also they did not complete the alignment but documented that they did.

RACISM LIVE & Thrives at this location...I came here with a Uber hertz vehicle for brake pads and rotors ...they replaced them & for some reason the brakes got louder ...I bought the car back & they said the brake pads was defected & they supposedly replaced them ...I left and the car was still make loud screeching sounds ! I literally sounds like a school bus, I called very frustrated and Tracy told me to come back ...I came back and they checked everything and said it was fixed and to come back if it was a problem ...soon as I leave I hear a loud brake sound so I turned around to bring the car back ... in the mist of me driving back Tracy calls my phone asking me if I still hear the sound & I told her I was on my way back because it was still making loud noises... I came back only to fine that they got new tires approved and they just wanted that money and really had no interest in fixing the brakes I guess because I'm BLK .. The short yt lady was having a conversation with yt guy with dark shaded glasses and they was referring to a previous customers that was Jamaican as " those ppl" then stare at me I guess they wanted me to feel some kinda of way ... the way that man stared at me I just know he wanted me to go off on him....Tracy is the most Racist yt woman I done came across in my whole entire life and she thrives off of it... she knew she wasn't going to fix the brakes, but still was giving me the runaround....Terrible ppl !

On Saturday morning during our recent heat wave, the blower motor in my car died. I reached out and was able to get an appointment that day. They were honest that there cars ahead of me, but before the end of the day, they had done the evaluation. They started the repair and finished the next morning (a Sunday!) and I was driving comfortably by late morning. Thank you so so much!

I made an appointment for 10:30am for an oil change. I got there before 10:30am and the woman asked if I was staying and waiting for my car I said yes, she said there is only two people working and itās going to take two hours for an oil change, but it could take longer if an issue arises with the other cars in front of me. I didnāt get my car back until 1:30pm. It took 3 hours for an oil change! Other people were leaving bad just as fed up because there was no communication and the progress checker was not updated at all through out the process. It was a very unpleasant experience. I feel as though if they were short staffed they should have let customers know so they could reschedule appointments or cancel them instead of waiting 3 hours for an oil change.

Tracey was very friendly & helpful. She explained & showed me why my brakes were making noise and what to expect. In a male dominated industry, it is refreshing to have another female to explain cars & the mechanism of vehicles in a way that was comfortable and informative. I appreciate her going the extra mile to show me the actual brake.

I have been a loyal PepBoys customer for over 20 years. My most recent experience with Pep Boys can not be overlooked and must be shared with the public. I went for an oil change (full synthetic) which cost me $73.49 after a 25% coupon. A little pricey but I'll accept the cost because I have always brought my car to PepBoys and trust their workmanship. The service manager said I needed an air filter during a routine inspection that I did not ask for. I gave of to change, My total bill presented to me was $178.88. PepBoys charged me $27.99 for the air filter and $19,99 to install. $47.98 charge just to change an air filter is beyond outrageous for a $10.00 air filter. But the best part was they charged be $46.80 for a brake inspection which I did not ask for (always part of their complimentary vehicle inspection) and $12.28 shop fee. What is that??? I need to be contacted by Pepboys and explain these outrageous charges immediately. This is so beyond taking advantage of your customer and I can not just let this go.

Made an appointment for an oil change. Told them I needed one tire replaced and my brakes looked at. No problems with the oil change or tire replacement, but they never mentioned the brakes. My comments were included on the service sheet. Not even two weeks later, my brake pads are almost bare. Not sure why they would miss something so obvious and easy to check and itās disappointing that this needs to be taken care of and it caused a hazard for me on the road.Review was originally 2 stars but I am dropping it to one after further inspection of my own car. Pep Boys neglected my entire brake system even though it is clearly visible on the receipt that I requested brake service. As a result of their negligence, my brake caliper gave out within a short while and I discovered the break in the seal. If me and my pregnant partner were on the highway when this failure happened, we could all be dead. I have reached out to the Pepboys email service as requested by the owner and I expect some reconciliation. I want my car to function how it should, I don't want to get a payout.

Just left this place scheduled an oil change and service for new brakes alongside waiting 30 minutes in line just for them to tell me that they canāt help me the guy at the front made no effort to try and help me and the store looked practically closed when I walked in donāt waste your time and donāt waste your energy at that place youāll only make yourself mad

I'm always able to get an appt quickly when I need one. They are reasonably priced and never a hassle with them, always a pleasure and they're professional. I recommend getting serviced on Sundays because it's very low volume. I typically drop my car off and within a few hours it's completed; I usually go for inspection. If you have to wait there's a wawa right across the street if you want to grab something to drink/eat, and a walmart nearby if you want to do quick shopping. I recommend them.

My car broke down today on a Sunday.I was able to get an appointment.I had it towed there.Doug was the nicest, most patient and best mechanic Iāve ever met. He really went above and beyond to fix my car. He even stayed and waited for me to pick it up. Great service, great guy! Highly recommend. Thanks, Doug!!

I made an 8am appointment 2 weeks in advance. I sat for 30 minutes before I was told I had to come back at 10am. Tech didn't arrive to work. I returned at 9:45am and waited until 12:30 for my car. I had an Oil Change! It took almost 3 hours for an oil change! I had an appointment!!

This place is a rip off!!!!! $100 plus tax for an oil change really?!?! The dealership doesnāt even charge that much. Unfortunately I couldnāt get a soon enough appointment at the dealership so I had to come to pep boys as a last resort. Also I was charged for work that was never done to my car and the guy with the beard act like he didnāt now how to refund me. Couldnāt get in touch with the store manager they donāt answer the phones.Never again!!! If you want to save money and actually get the work done to your vehicle donāt come here!!!

Overall, it was a great experience: booking online was super convenient and there were a range of time slots available, customer service was amazing - Tracy was so helpful and explained things in an easy to understand manner (thank you, Tracy!), they had about 10 garage stalls to service cars - maybe more and that was impressive to me, text messages kept me up to date on the progress, and there was a lounge to sit in while waiting. The only reason for minus a star is because I had to go to Advanced Auto to buy a part. As of April 31, this year, all the retail parts of Pep Boys are closed. A few customers walked in looking to shop and were disappointed, which is understandable. Heads up if you are reading this and plan to go shop there - you wonāt be able to! Luckily, there was an Advanced Auto right down the street. The prices for the services I received were very reasonable and I will use Pep Boys, exclusively going forward!
