The woman at the West Deer Store on Oak Road obviously hates her job, She said to my wife and I "I can take you on 2!!!" We asked her nicely, "Which one is that ma'am??"She abruptly said and pointed at the #2 sign which was hidden behind a balloon!!! She shook her head and mumbled....Jeeesh!!! My wife and I WILL NEVER step foot in that store ever again!!! If they hire people that don't like to work then here's a NEWS FLASH!!! GO HOME!!! It's a shame to be treated so poorly, when you are already having a bad day, other than than that, We love the store!!!

Simple thumbs down if you don’t like your job find another . Your customers should be important to you and that obviously is not the case.I will now pass by drive the extra four miles to route eight.

Went here to pick up a FedEx package that was dropped off at their pick up station the day before per the tracking info. Went to the store, showed the barcode, they said it wasn't there. Showed them the tracking info...still said they didn't have it. Got FedEx and the shipper involved which turned into the typical corporate finger pointing, buck passing dance you'd expect, compounded by this store refusing to answer the phone to help with the investigation. I was on the phone with FedEx, outside in the Dollar General parking lot. The only other vehicle was a vendor, who was outside loading his cart. They would not answer the phone as FedEx actually conference called the store with me.This happened twice. On separate days. The same 2 employees both times.Finally, after day 4 of chasing down this package after getting no help from FedEx or the shipper...FedEx tracking clearly showed the pkg arrived and the shipper just could not reach this store via phone, I decided to frustrate myself again by trying to call for the 5th or 6th time over the past few days...and they answered!Then told me to call back in 15 minutes because she was busy and wasn't going to look right now.Well, I bit my tongue and bit down harder on my building rage and called her back. It was the same voice of the woman I'd spoken to each time I'd stopped by the store to see if they wouldn't mind looking again. She angrily told me it was there. It came in yesterday...according to FedEx tracking, that was a lie. According to my stopping up there yesterday, that was a lie. I asked here again if it was truly physically there and with another contemptuous irritated response she said..." I'm looking right at it. It came in yesterday. It's addressed to you. Yes it's here." There wasn't any professionalism or understanding in her voice, it was just contempt.During this whole escapade, in spite of my own anger and frustration, I never once failed to say please or thank you, raise my voice in anger, or display my frustration despite the dance. Not once in honest disclosure.I was not treated in kind. Other reviews on this location reflect that. Not all, to be sure, but it seems a pattern from a couple of employees in my observation and experience.

This place is awesome! It always has what I'm looking for plus more!The store is always clean and isles are never blocked by boxes or debris.There is handicap ♿ parking areas that are close to the door, and several of them are available 😀!Cashiers are friendly and knowledgeable about where a product is located in the store!!

This place has so much stuff jammed in it and some of the shelves are just mixed up. Makes it hard to locate items. One of the displays has discount price but aisle is different price. Cashier was not friendly when this was mentioned. Every time I shop here it takes forever for cashier to ring me out.

Dollar General is actually a great store for what it is. That being said keep in mind that you are at a store with reduced prices so certain things the quality is not as good as its higher-priced competitor. If you're just going to grab some cereal milk toilet paper house cleaners things like that pants down you're going to find amazing prices. But if you are looking for things more like home decor as well as clothing or something along those lines and electronics you need to bear in mind that you are at a reduced price store with its own brands that are not exactly 100% comparable to high name brand products that you would typically find in your regular Super Store.

Poor customer service! I was recently there to grab a few last minute items, purchased a wall trinket, cashier even commented how pretty it was as she bagged it up. She said “Ok, everything is in one bag” without thinking I thanked her and left. Once I was home I realized I was missing my wall trinket AND my receipt. Only minutes went by since I left, so I returned immediately to claim my missing item. Same cashier was there and she remembered my face, I told her my situation and she responded with “sorry there is nothing I can do if you don’t have a receipt” annoyed with the situation I left, didn’t seem worth it to pursue a 8 dollar item. Overall nice store, but they employ Neanderthals.

Never anyone at the register to check you out if you go in evening. They always elsewhere stocking self's so if your in a hurry I suggest going somewhere else
