Going into this Walmart is like stepping into a Time Machine and walking into the 1990s. Like many others have stated this is not a super Walmart. However, it is clean, well stocked, and has friendly staff which is more than I can say for most Walmarts I have gone too.

Today when I was at Walmart I bought 5 containers of cat litter, 20 lbs. each. There was a very nice young man working at the checkout, his name is Armondo. He offered to help me put these in my car. He didn't know that I had a stroke and that this was going to be a difficult task for me. He was just being nice and helpful. The world needs more people like him! Way to go Walmart Gettysburg!

This is not a super Walmart, so there is limited groceries. Example is that there is only one small frozen food aisle. Mostly pizzas, frozen dinners, and no ice cream. The pharmacy section is as big as a large store and the overall size is bigger than the neighborhood version. We managed to find most of what we needed as we passed through town in our RV.

Hats off to the young man helping the woman in the wheelchair last evening (12/11/23)! It was cold and he had no coat, gloves or hat on, but he patiently assisted her into a car & made sure she was secure before going back in the store. He did all this with a smile, good cheer and wished her a good night! Walmart has a gem worker! All staff I encountered at this store are cheerful and helpful. I also like that the store allows the Salvation Army bell ringers to be outside.

Walmart + delivery from this store is always missing items. They refund the items but I'd rather them come back with missing items. I've also received other people's orders instead of my own, and I once ordered a half gallon of non-fat milk and received three full gallons of vitamin d milk. Picking and delivering of orders isn't done with care. Just cancelled my subscription. Not worth it.

My skoolie broke down in Gettysburg at the exit with the WalMart. We were able to stay overnight in the lot until the mobile mechanic could get to us. I'm super appreciative that WalMart allows this.

Makes Aldi’s look like a 5 star grocery store. It’s all do it yourself. Walmart will go the way of KMart.

I like our little Walmart. It's cute. A little dirty and small though. I honestly would prefer a supercenter. It can get crowded fast - especially the parking lot. One thing that does bother me though is that I have yet to see a register with Tap to Pay.

It's ok but the Walmart here has major problems carrying everything the other Walmarts do. Gettysburg needs to get more items and keep up with the others. They need more food

Stopped by looking for Distilled Water for my Cpap. There was none on the shelf, I asked an associate, Mary, if they had any, and she said yes, and she called back to someone in stock and asked them to get a pallet down for her. She let me know it would take a few minutes, and she would have some up front. Best service I ever had at Walmart. This was Sunday 10/08/23 in the evening.

Over crowded at registers employees have nasty attitudes I try to skip this store and go into the county where the attitudes are good happy upbeat friendly and the lines are not as extensive that I spend 10 to 20 minutes shopping and twice as long waiting to be checked out. Theirs never enough registers open take out your self checkout and start using employees to handle checkout again

The new self check out system is a disaster. Every time I have been there lately I have had people cut in front of me when I was next in line. The old way was much better and always worked smoothly and everyone waited their turn! Discourages me from shopping there!!

Now that it is nearly all self check out, the register needs to work correctly and then they should have an attendant that is capable of correcting register issues. Did not get bonus points for purchases because register wasn't discounting even though it said it scanned my card.

Had trouble with an Uber order, they failed to help out! Then had to cancel said order because of problems, they said they would send someone out to help us and never did! Ended up with me taking the groceries back into the store!

The docents here were amazing. So kind and helpful - the way they interacted with the kids was great! When entering you choose a child to "follow" through the battle of Gettysburg. My 9 year old girl (and I) loved it, my 13 year old boy... Mostly enjoyed it. I'd say it probably caps at about 12 years old (plenty to read and see for the older kids even if they're not into "playing" with things). Lots of hands on activities to experience Gettysburg.Tip: we used our friends of Gettysburg membership we bought at the NPS visitor center museum to get in for free. Absolutely worth it!

This walmart isn't bad since there are no other stores around town other than marshalls. It would be better if it were a super center. The only main issue I have is Holly. She works at the self check out or stands at the exit and she makes me very uncomfortable. She always stands directly behind me when I'm ringing my stuff up, looking over my shoulder as I ring my items up. God forbid She pays attention to anyone else checking out. She also makes it a point to ask for OUR receipt while many other people walk past her. It is very disrespectful. We come here all of the time and she makes it seem like we are thieves. Absolutely ridiculous behavior. I would give a 5 star, but her actions alone reduce my rating score.
