I dont recall the store associates name, but the older gentleman was very helpful and kind. He had my sister and I both laughing and even had the other store associate surprised with the information he knew/remembered.

Reviews are opinions of what we think. There should be no complaints with the shortage of employees for most businesses. Especially pharmacies. They have ALWAYS been nice, kind and considerate at this pharmacy. They do an awesome job for the amount of business they do by taking care of us who need them. Kudos to my Gettysburg pharmacy! If you complain maybe you need a job and can help or know someone that needs a job to help take the pressure off the same people always working there and still keep a good attitude with the people who don’t or won’t have any understanding.

I love this Pharmacy. Ryan and Sean have always been helpful and go that extra little bit to help. There may be lines but the pharmacist and techs are doing their best. I appreciate that they are working and are pleasant. Life is short. Be happy you have a place that cares. Thanks for working with me and always treating me like a person and never making me or anyone that I noticed feel like they weren't important. I appreciate you so much!

Unfortunately for me this is the only place even close to my house that takes me insurance. Luckily I don’t have a lot of reasons to get a prescription but I DREAD when I do. Every single time with out fail the store is closed or on break. I get shortage of workers ect. But easily could be updating the hours online or on the automated phone machine. Every single time I’m waiting hours for a prescription that was called in days prior.

Really hope the owner replies to this review! Pharmacy closed all day on Friday!! Unable to pick up med nor transfer to New Oxford location cause there was a "hold" on my prescription that only the Gettysburg location had to take the hold off. Can't be done WHEN THERE IS NO ONE THERE IN PHARMACY! Absolutely RIDICULOUS!! SO TIRED OF THE INCOMPETENCE and RUN AROUND JUST TO GET 1 MED FILLED! All the competent pharmacy employees quit! I could have gotten my med refill on Thursday to be told wrong info by RX tech! The techs just look at refill date NOT the prescription date the doctor wrote it for! Not every refill will fall on the same monthly date!! Every month it's the same BS run around. My anxiety level goes up alot when I try to get meds filled at this location. I feel sorry for anyone who needed their cardiac, respiratory, antibiotics meds filled on Friday, hope they didn't die! Pharmacy being closed on Friday has made me definitely decide to transfer my meds to the Rite Aid New Oxford location! I'll drive the 25 mins because I know the staff there isn't incompetent!

I come to this Pharmacy all the time to get non-prescription items because it's close to me and I can walk there when needed. The store is typically great and the cashiers are almost always friendly and ask you if you have your Rite Aid card and if not they accept your phone number and you're really nice. However the actual Pharmacy department is another story. There is one guy in there who knows me by name and is always helpful and gray and if you have a question he will get the answers for you. But I used to do another location for this Pharmacy before I moved and if there was a problem with the medication they would call you immediately and tell you and if it wasn't covered by insurance that would tell you right away or call you and ask you if you wanted failed and whatnot. However this location for the pharmacy I went in there and asked if they could tell me how much a prescription was going to cost before I filled it because the other location could tell me about right away but this location claims they cannot tell you how much of medication is going to cost and told they sell it leaving the patient stuck with a hefty price tag in some cases. This one time I got a medication filled that isn't covered by insurance and the pharmacy can't bother to call me and tell me if not covered by insurance and tell me what the price is instead they fill it told me it's ready and then go over there and have to pay whatever price it is for the medication. I tried to use a coupon one from GoodRx and the pharmacist got mad at me for waiting until checkout to use the coupon and then had to take my medication bag and we can figure everything because of my coupon. And a couple times now when I'm gone to pick up medication I've noticed that there's more pills in my container then what there should be. So I'll always have to count it and make sure it's the right amount. Also I find that with this Pharmacy you can get a prescription sent in and then like 3 or 4 hours later half the time they finally get it filled and tell you it's ready which is frustrating when is the medication that you need immediately right away. Sometimes I get it feel pretty quickly but no signs it takes him several hours to fill a simple medication The store is great the pharmacy department needs a lot of work

This location has gone downhill. I've had three prescriptions take 24-48 hours to fill, that normally take a few hours. I understand low inventory or staff, but when I called after 2 days the woman who answered just said "oh I'll fill that now" then 10 mins later it was ready, so how long would it have taken if I hadn't called?They also offer to pay online once your script is ready and pick up or have it delivered. I recently selected delivery but nobody tells you its via doordash. Having someone who isn't affiliated with the pharmacy handle and delivery medications doesn't sit well with me. Nowhere is that advertised on the app or checkout.Oh and good luck trying to reach anybody by phone. Nobody ever answers. My doctors office experienced the same thing when they even tried to call.Will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

It makes me furious that cashiers don't ask if you want to round up to the nearest dollar to provide a donation to their cause. They just take it. When you say "I don't want to round up, they act like the customer is a horrible person." I am done.Rite

My complaint is with the pharmacy not the retail section.My doctor sent my prescription to this location. I picked up one and they said that the second prescription would be ready on Tuesday. I prepaid online and I went yesterday morning but the pharmacist had an emergency and did not come in to open up the pharmacy. A pharmacist assistant told me that I can pick up my prescription in the Rite Aide in Hannover. I went there but for some reason their computer could not get my info from the other store's computer. Later that evening I went back to Gettysburg to pick up my medicine. Now I had to pay again as the computer did not register my online payment. My credit card shows two charges though. Here is the real ceaziness; when I complained to the same person I spoke to that morning he blamed it all on the FDA & President Biden. He is a nut as well as incompetent.

I had my prescriptions sent to this pharmacy from urgent care around 8:30 this morning. Stopped in after my appointment to see how long it would be and was told an hour. Went on with my day and stopped back by at 3:00. I waited in line for just shy of an hour only to be told that it wasn’t ready and would be another hour. So I guess we will see if it’s done in an hour.

Pharmacy service continues to get worse. Stopped in the last three days to pick up a RX. 12-14 people in line each day, drive through closed. Today they just closed at 4PM because they were so “overwhelmed “.Obviously their DM never looks at these reviews, or simply doesn’t care!!!

They are a big help with refilling scripts with ease. However there's a cpl pharmacists whose tone over the phone can change a little. Showing lack of compassion for the patients makes me question the handling and care of my medications.

I have been a rite aid customer for years and I just recently transferred my prescription here on this location. I cannot believe how rude the person manning the pharmacy is. She ‘s a heavy set woman with long curly brown hair. She made everything a big deal. I just wanted to go in and out and get what I need. Every sentence that comes out of her mouth is rude. My prescription and I are outta there and I’ll never come back. I don’t deserve to be bullied once a month.

I will not come to this pharmacy again. Jessica who was the cashier was rude and gave me attitude after I put in my phone number wrong for rewards. The medication I had gotten over the counter did not come up on sale as it was misplaced in the store. After she informed me of that she made a comment to another employee that her day was already bad and was trying to survive the day. So I decided I did not want to buy anything because of the way I was being treated. While I was canceling the purchase on my card she asked me if I needed anything and I responded I just needed to cancel the payment and she said ok that’s already been done but that’s not what it said on the machine. I felt that she was not kind or understanding, and instead she treated me with a bad attitude. Normally when people go to a pharmacy is because they aren’t feeling the best and need medication and the least thing you need is someone treating you this way.

Went here for years before I finally gave up. Staff is friendly, prices fair, but way too many issues with the pharmacy. Just kept getting worse and worse and finally I had enough. Communication there is awful and no one knows what's going on. They call and say your prescription is ready and after you waste the gas to drive there, they tell you it will be a few more DAYS. That kind of thing. Don't waste your time here.

Be thankful people still showed up to work to fill your scripts after half their staff just up and quit. They are doing the best they can. Not only do they meet my needs, they are curtious throughout. Love this store.

In the process of transferring all my family's persciptions to another pharmacy due to YEARS of problems with refill times and out of stock issues. They NEVER have my refill ready and I end up waiting additional time after I visit the store for it to be filled, even after calling in hours or days before. I got a 30 day script filled. It was for two pills a day. Instead of giving me 60 they gave me 30. Another trip another call. I will say there is one very nice male pharmacist that works there that always is very kind and gets all the issues fixed. But I shouldn't have to ALWAYS get issues fixed

old lady working here was rude and very disrespectful. We are from out of state and needed some things. We stopped at this rite aid and my wife accidentally puts cars in slot instead of slides. Common mistake. The cashier starts saying things like "wow can you not read." "Now we have to do it again because you can't read." "Why don't you learn how to read to avoid this in our country."My wife is American but Hispanic by race. So disrespectful. It took all my strength not to raise holy hell in the store because I didn't want to ruin our trip. Do not go here.

I arrived for my scheduled 10:15 booster shot. When I arrived I was told to line up in the line with everyone else mixed with people waiting for prescriptions, etc. I am a school driver and could not wait for 7 people ahead of me. Extreme frustrated with pharmacy staff. Very unhelpful and cold customer service.

I phoned in a prescription before 9:00 am on Wednesday, Sept.30 and was told that it would be ready at 1;00 pm. After I drove up at 3:20 I pressed the buzzer, but no one responded. FIFTEEN MINUTES later there were six cars behind me. I finally got a response at the window - only after I knocked on the window. I was told that the prescription wasn't ready and that I should return in twenty minutes.Even with an out-of-order buzzer, it is wrong for multiple clerks to ignore customersthey see through the window? If I can see them, they can see me... and the six others behind me.We love the location and inventory of the store and want to continue to shop there.

Very disappointed when I tried to return without a receipt. Every other store will not give your money but will always give store credit. Obviously if an item is on sale you would get the sale price. My situation was I made a $4.99 purchase plus tax one day and returned the next day and had thrown away my receipt. They were only going to give me approximately 1/2 price of the original purchase 1 day later and it was not on sale. Of course it was only my word that it was just purchased the previous day. Very poor customer service. I have never been treated like that anywhere else.

Yesterday I went to the store drive thru for medication and Ryan was the cashier and I paid for my rx and I signed my receipt and he said I will not give you your medication bc you didn’t sign legitable and how do I know it really you! Ryan continues and says resign to give you ur medication. Never again will I have a antibiotic sent to this store. It was a 1.00 drug.

Hospital sent them script went hour later they said didnt recieve to stop back in 2 hours or more tried calling several times before making a trip there and could not get anyone in pharmacy to pick up the phone at all, because they were apparently too busy this was my last time dealing with them practical jokers instead of wearing pearl necklaces and dying ur hair flamboyant colors maybe you should focus more on ur job at hand satisfying customers instead of lying to the customers directly to their faces with ignorance and attitude in their voices enough to make a quiet person like myself to open my mouth and speak my mind

The pharmacy closes early frequently. I went there at 715pm on Saturday and they were closed. I'm disabled and have to pay for a ride so if they are supposed to be open they should stay open. This has happened several times in the past also. Time to find a new pharmacist.

Worst rite aid of all time. Had to come back multiple times for my meds they said would be done in a “couple” hours and ended up taking 12. They also have 2 people on staff while the line is always heavy.
