Went from md to pa the get my shotgun I won from a bingo event too no time at all and even got help from the younger staff after I missed some questions. Overall great experience even purchased a 5.56 MP and was super happy with it as I went to the range shortly after that day. Will definitely be back plus ammo is way cheaper than most places.

Nice people, great service and a wide range of items for sale including hardware, garden tools, clothing, hunting and archery products, and a pretty decent selection of new and used guns, handguns, and bows! I ordered a new rifle from them the other year and was impressed with their quality service. Also a great place to buy dog licenses.

So I had a great experience here. I was treated respectfully as an out of state buyer and I appreciated that greatly.I was treated so well that I felt compelled to buy 3 guns I’d been looking at for awhile, just to show my appreciation. I also found ammunition at a great price.Found everything I wanted priced reasonably and the store was decently well stocked and organized. The young man even helped me to my car with my purchases. Every time I’m in this part of PA I’m coming here to buy.I was so glued to the gun part of the store that I didn’t get a chance to explore the hardware portion or archery portion.You’ll just love it.

The perfect hardware / gun shop. Easy to get to yet away from crowds and traffic. Parking right in front of the store. Great selection, great prices, friendly helpful employees. You can't ask for more. I've already referred friends to the place. For a small store they have a lot of stock and if you don't see what you like, they can order it for you. Hardware, ammo, guns, hunting & archery items, etc. They also have an outdoor area where you can find all kinds of plants anywhere from flowers to veggies. If you are lucky, you might even meet Bun Bun (the store rabbit).

Very professional, very willing to take the time to work with someone that is looking for information. I miss stores like this, they have a little of everything. I have purchased, plants, watering cans, to ammunition and various other things. If you have a child in scouts, they carry all the gear there too. I would highly recommend if you are in the Gettysburg area, just stop in and walk around, there will definitely be something you forgot you needed there.

As a long time customer, I appreciate the experience of shopping at Reddings each time I'm there. Yes, it's very busy over the past few years with background checks and such, but I've always been treated very well there. Kudos to Clayton in the archery department, as he does know his wheelhouse well, and has been of tremendous benefit with getting my archery needs met. I hope they get the indoor range back up and running, as that department alone has everything one needs for all things archery.

Been coming in for years. Clayton over in the archery shop is the man I always come to when I purchase a new bow or need help looking for anything. He has helped me set up my new bow and goes out of his way. Super awesome guy. My kids think he is awesome. They love to ask him questions and he doesn't hesitate to answer. Redding’s Hardware really took me back to my youth. The atmosphere is nostalgic but that isn’t to say they don’t have what you’re looking for. They’ve got a great selection. I visited for the gun shop and was equally impressed with the selection of products offered. I was able to pick up some ammunition and some magazines. The gun selection was nice.

The classic small town (if you can call Gettysburg that) hardware store feel. They have so much packed in but nicely organized and easy to find what you are looking for. I've visited there nearly every time I come to town. The care they give you as a customer is amazing. The gentleman who assisted me recently went way out of his way to help me and provide me with great info on the products I was purchasing. So rare these days to get that care in a shopping experience.

Great atmosphere. Everything a gun shop should be. Nice friendly staff plenty and of selection . They've every king of ammo you could want. Prices are what you would expect from a small non coprate chain store that's serving customers. Walk in say hi make your purchase and feel good about supporting a great place.

Prices are extremely high for pyrodex and can find it cheaper online with tax and 2 day shipping. Service is good and staff are helpful. The younger staff at times can be a bit rude. But overall everything is good except the prices. Prices suck in general due to how close they are to retail prices and can be found cheaper almost everywhere even online with shipping included.

Price’s could be better for a mom/pop kinda shop also manage the younger staff better, just lazy attitude overall. You go in looking for magazine’s for a common gun and also take one in to help them look and the kid mopped around and pushed 2 bins like uhh.. Mmm.. yeah we don’t have it. Pathetic… also this staff member has been there for at least 2-3 years.. I’ve bought a decent amount of guns here but the snobby / lazy vibe has my business elsewhere.

This is the best gun shop / hardware shop I have ever been in! The young lady that helped my husband and I is BRILLIANT!!! This shop has a very large selection of anything your heart may desire. Part of the shop is a hardware store that looks like a real old fashioned, small town hardware store. I LOVED THE HARDWARE STORE!!! This is a place we all need to shop before going to the big, billion dollars a year corporation mega stores like Home Depot.

Purchased a gun, trying to support a small business. The staff was unfriendly, and not very helpful. The gun jams and the head of the gun counter, Jeremy, refused to send the gun back to the manufacturer. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced and will never return.

Best store out there! I have purchased several guns from this store as well as general hardware. The staff are super helpful, always kind and their prices are surprising on many items for a small hardware store. A must stop if you are in the area or are just visiting.

Excellent service and pricing with the Archery Shop with indoor shooting range. I bought my Parker Crossbow from Jeremy about 10 years ago with competitive pricing compared to other dealers and had the cables routinely serviced twice with great customer service. Jeremy is very knowledgeable with regards to best crossbows and mechanical broad heads. He recommended Parker with lifetime warranty and Spitfire mechanical broad heads, which could not be happier a decade later with this hometown shop.

I made a purchase over a month ago on an item that was on sale. I was charged full price, over $100 difference from the sale price. I didn't notice until I got home since I had bought other items. The employee scanned the full price barcode on the box even though the handwritten tag said it was on sale. I contacted them and they got back to me within a reasonable amount of time. Then they started giving me a run around about needing to talk to the girl who sold it, I emailed them back and they never responded and it's been weeks. They gave me a month long run around and won't answer me back or give me the difference they owe me. I would not have paid full price since they are high in price there, their "sale price" was how much they go for online.I will never give them business again, buyer beware, double check that the price you pay is what they ring up.
