We had such a blast visiting this unique game store in downtown Gettysburg! The Nerd Herd Gifts and Games has so many unique games in stock! My daughter loved playing the old-school Pac Man arcade game, it gave us a nice opportunity to pick out some gifts for her while she was distracted! If you’re looking for unique, interesting, or hard to find games that the big box stores don’t offer give this place a try!

They have a large chest set out front. Very bright interesting colors throughout the store. Large variety of games most I haven't heard of. They have a large free pac man machine you can play in store. In the very back room of the store they have a multiplayer gaming system or possibly TV watching area set up. Nothing really caught my eye to purchase while in store though. Fun place to take your kids in while in Gettysburg. Might even find a game they might enjoy. Also looks like they have stuff for the adult who likes board games aswell. Lots of games on display to view or play.A Cornhole set was set up outside too play too.

Super nice board game store! I love the design concept of the store, very colorful and welcoming, the casual gamer won't feel intimidated coming in here. We picked up a few simple card games to play in our hotel room in the evenings.

Really lovely and well supplied shop. We were impressed by the selection D&D books in particular. They have a good variety of games and other nerdery, and the shop was very welcoming. I think the outdoor “giant” games are so fun too! Great store.

This place run by students is amazing!Such a great concept and I love the left brain and right brain rooms. The Vault game room in the back is pretty awesome as well.Great stop for gifts and all things pop culture! 10 out of 10, Highly recommend!

Great little innovative game and activity store in the heart of Gettysburg's Central Square Area. In addition to a very varied selection of interesting games on the inside, the outside has activities like a giant chessboard to play on and other things depending on the season. Housed in a former bank building, there's even a real vault door inside with more games to see inside the vault. If you're looking for fun games for either kids or adults, make sure to add this to your stops in Gettysburg.

Fantastic game shop! They have a very nice selection of board games, including many that are opened as demo games! They also have a nice gift selection. We loved the large outdoor chess set. Very fun! Definitely worth a visit!

Great selection of board games and dnd modules. Honestly more than most nerd stores I’ve been to. Great selection of fun and unique board games is the main reason I’d go. Dice selection is maybe lacking but well priced.

Nerd Herd is a must stop for anyone seeking fun in Gettysburg, PA. This is a unique game and gift shop that stretches the imagination. Check out toys, games and gadgets you won't find at Wal-Mart. From mind-expanding puzzles to family games, Nerd Herd is the place to go for a vast selection of entertainment options. We bought a gift here and the owner was very pleasant and helpful.

Thoughtfully curated and laid out shop. Had some games in stock I haven't been able to find elsewhere! Most games are a little advanced so i would recommend for ages 8+. Nice selection of other gifts and sundries as well.

Stopped in while in Gettysburg, and I am so glad I did! It is such a cool shop, with a ton of games (many I’ve never even heard of)! I loved that games were set up so you could test them out before buying. I left with several, and wrote down names of others that I’d like to get in the future. Awesome place!

I love this place. I got another gift certificate for my bday so will be returning soon. Their game selection is great considering so much of the board game economy moved online. People complaining about prices might not be up on how much games cost these days. Spending $50+ for a board game is 100% the norm when buying larger games.They do have a lot of smaller stuff and cheaper games though. They have a really cool vault filled with games that are separated by skill level. I love the selection of children’s games for my son and the brain teasers for all ages.I played the outdoor chess game last time and enjoyed that as well :)

I cannot sing the praises of Nerd herd enough. I am only occasionally local, but I do all my online ordering and gift giving through them. I have placed orders in one afternoon and received them the next day (a state away), carefully wrapped and delivered. Their staff make great recommendations, their selection always has the classics I'm looking for plus something new that ends up being a new favorite. The ability to look and try the sample games is a huge deal. I will always choose Nerd Herd for new board games.

This is such a cool shop. Oddly enough this shop was a high point on a trip to Gettysburg that was already pretty good. Tons of fun and a must see if you are in town.From my understanding the store is operated by students from the local school and it is pretty neat to see what they have done with it. They have tons of different games of all types and a lot of other "nerdy" memorabilia.

The wonderment that awaits beyond their doors is incredible. Entire rooms dedicated to all your favorite board games, sections divided to appeal strictly to your left or right brained people, and goofy geeky trinkets begging to be collected. I am already being begged to return.

What an awesome place. Spotlessly clean, friendliest staff I've ever encountered and tons of really cool stuff. Love the concept. This place is jam packed with interesting and unusual stuff. If you're looking for just the right gift, this is the place to visit. You won't see most of this stuff anywhere else.It's your choice, go to Walmart and get any old run of the mill gift, or go to the Nerd Herd and find something special for about the same price.It's a no brainer so go join the herd. You won't regret it.

I first walked up to Nerd Herd because of the toddler size chess pieces. As I approached, I realized that there was also an appropriately scaled chess board on the sidewalk with a matching Connect-Four game nearby. Okay, so this place is worth walking into, right? Freaking games galore. I’m not a board game fan, but you’ve got to check out their selection, from common to wild games reside within the walls. And did I mention the D&D wall inside the real bank vault back room? I’ll try to attach a pano of the back room.

The best stop for Board games in Gettysburg. Displays and examples and an entire room to learn new games. To a nerd like me, it was a nerdy paradise. Had I not had others with me I probably would have spent the entire day there, it was very nice. Staff was kind and helpful, it was clean, cool, and well lit. I highly recommend.

Awesome. Staff was nice and helpful. The chessboard outside is a great way to teach a young kid chess. I was able to sit in the game vault and play with my son for and hour without issue.
